I love this place, been going for 4 years, they never disappoint. I get the fried fish, shrimp and oysters every time. The taste is better than any seafood restaurant in this town because they change the cooking oil regularly and cook each item in a separate oil. However recently, I tried their seafood boil and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it because I usually boil mines at home. This is a to-go only shop with only a small waiting area. There was no one at the front and I attempted t place an order on the kiosk but it would not take. There was a second kiosk to the side, and I was able to complete the order at that terminal. As I completed an order a gentleman came to the front and offered to take my order if I was having issues. I received my order fresh-made in about 10 minutes and the ingredients were quality and the flavors were spot on. I had the shrimp po-boy sandwich as that was my specific craving and why I made the detour to this establishment, and it did not disappoint. There was a concrete table outside ate the front, but there was no umbrella to ward off the hot summer sun. Since I hate eating in my car and the drive home would mean that the food would be cold and soggy by the time I could sit down and eat, I don't think I will be a regular. read more

My husband and I stopped in last Friday. We ordered a shrimp combo for one and shared it to see if we liked it. It's was great I have to say. It was made to order so it was fresh, hot and shrimp size were good. The service was very pleasant. The ambiance is not there as it mostly take out but they do have few small round tables outside and one inside for those who which to eat there. I'd give a try if you're in the area. Been looking for a fried seafood place since my spot closed after 20 something years!! This place is my new go to! Simply amazing! Once I saw the look of it, I knew it was gonna have that old school take out over-the-counter taste and style! I tried the fried shrimp and fried oysters... Because that's my most important items... And everything from size to breading, seasoning was perfect! I'm old school and I grew up with those inner city, seafood, takeout places, and this one is a winner !! They cook it fresh and I had to wait about 15 minutes... Then I ate in the car and had to let it cool down so it would easily last 10 to 15 minute car ride home! The jumbo fried shrimp are the best I've had in a while. Hushpuppies are tasty but vould be a smidge bigger. Fries are cri a py and hot, even on delivery. Don't bother getting the slaw though. I think they forgot to put the dressing on it. All around great eats! read more

I thought this was all really good. Not quite as good as the spots in NOLA but pretty close. Boil was good, fried shrimp was good and the cake was too. I'd definitely come back. I recently tried out Kajun Seafood for lunch. This location is a take-out only establishment. Upon entering, I was nicely greeted and asked if I knew what I wanted to order or if I had any questions. Having already pre-gamed and researched the menu, I knew what I wanted. I ordered a Shrimp Po'Boy combo and an order of 3 Boudin Balls. The wait between placing my order and receiving my food was about 7-8 minutes. I'll start with the Boudin Balls. The inside was seasoned wonderfully and tasted great. However, the coating on the outside was a bit too thick and didn't break apart as easily as I am used to from my time in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans areas. The Shrimp Po'Boy was absolutely delicious! The shrimp were perfect and tasted wonderfully. There was just enough lettuce and mayo and pickles on the sandwich to add to the flavor but to not over-power the shrimp or make the shrimp soggy. What made this order a combo was the fries...which were fine. All-in-all, my lunch was great and I am definitely coming back. read more

We have only ever gotten this delivered through doordash. But every time the food has been amazing. One time one of the items we ordered, boudin balls, were not available and they called to ask what they could substitute. We chose the beignets. They were awesome! All the food is very authentic Cajun style seafood. My wife is from NOLA and we go in at least once per year. Trust me, these folks are legit. I love the fried shrimp and oysters; my wife and daughter love the fried catfish. The boudin balls are amazing. I got the boiled shrimp once and it was terrific. When i tell you this place has some good food; it does! So i wanted crab legs and the place I usually frequent was closed. I hadnt heard of this place, but I found them on google. Turna out they were new and in a location of where roly poly and a wing spot used to be. Anywho got my crab legs and a drink i think it was mango passion or peachy something. One of my go to places for fried seafood. Their fish and shrimp are well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The fries have Cajun seasoning for extra flavor. Recently an Uber driver only delivered half my order. At the time I couldn't tell if it was the driver or the restaurant but I ended up driving to the restaurant because I wanted the food (it's that good). Not only did they make it right, they gave me a drink and free beignets. They went above and beyond and I appreciated it! FYI, the driver only delivered half the order. I don't know why I haven't left a review previously on Kajun Seafood. Kajun Seafood is a cajun "fast' restaurant. They are really good at what they do. They are part Juciy Crab and part American Deli. The restaurant is only a few miles from my house, in front of the Kroger shopping center. There's parking in front of the restaurant, along with a few other small restaurants. Since it's so close to my house, we typically come here probably weekly. The majority of my family gets the fried fish and french fries. The fried fish isn't the best I've ever had, but it's probably the best I've had in Kennesaw!! It's always well-seasoned and fried excellently. For the past few months, I've been getting the grilled catfish and shrimp. The grilled catfish is sooooo good! just like the fried fish, it is always seasoned so well! I typically get the broccoli in the sauce. The sauce is literally so good! When we first started going, the owner was the main one taking orders. He's literally the nicest guy EVER!! Kajun Seafood is a neighborhood staple that I'm so glad we now have! read more

The shrimp are huge, battered & fried! It comes with crinkly fries & coleslaw...both are really good too. The best part is that the tarter sauce & cocktail sauce are homemade! Decided to stop in one day to place my order and I can safely say this is still a great option in the area. Friendly and clean inside, although it appears to be a takeout only spot. There is little place to sit outside if the weather is nice. The food is good, the grilled shrimp and fish have become a new fave for me. The side of broccoli is also pretty good, it comes in a bag like a boil does and I normally get them spicy. Prices are also fairly decent for the amount of food received. read more

AMY IS AMAZING. I came for a haircut next door, she saw me walk away disappointed because they were closed, she stopped me, called the barber and my son got his haircut 10 minutes later! I live nearby, and finally tried this place the other day. We got the fried oyster platter with French fries and hush puppies, and the fried catfish. The positive: the cocktail sauce was very good...nice little horseradish kick to it. The French fries restored my taste for fries, and were nicely done. Borderline too salty, but very good compared to most places. The fried catfish was good. Not great, but good. The bad: the hush puppies weren't dry, which is a problem at most places, but they were overly salty. If they can fix that, they'd be very good. The tartar sauce wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Hard to describe, but it wasn't a good tartar. The oysters were pretty bad. They were a nice size - not too big or small. The breading was nice. But the flavor was "off". I love seafood, and am a firm believer that fish should taste like fish, regardless of what kind. But the oysters were overly fishy. I'm not sure what it was - could have been a few things: 1) the fry oil may have been old and needs changing. 2) the quality of the oysters may not have been the best. Or 3) I'm guessing they were frozen, so maybe as they thawed them, they became "old", or sat in the fridge too long. I will go back and try a couple other things. I don't like to give a bad review to a locally owned place, so I will update this if I have a better experience. read more

Overall a very solid restaurant the food was very good, I got the Snow Crab leg box and it was very good. The food packaging is very convenient considering how messy getting a seafood boil is, it even comes with gloves so that your hands aren't dirty while eating it. The staff was very informal and helpful through out the whole process and they even gave me an extra Snow Crab claw since it was my first time.
