This Jamaican restaurant is a little gem in Kennesaw GA. Their patties are great, the curry goat, vegetables, soup is amazing fresh and amazing. The service is good here and it feels like home. The atmosphere is nice too with the authentic Jamaican music greeting you as soon as you open the door. I definitely recommend stopping by here if you're ever in the area. I'll definitely be going back when I'm back in Kennesaw.

DONT EAT HERE!! Worst ever!!! 1st it took FOREVER for them to make the food for my delivery, then finally got the food and it was horrible. The Mac and cheese seems like it was from the box that they slapped in a microwave. The snapper wasn't cooked right and tasted raw, very rubbery!! NEVER AGAIN

Ackee and salt fish a mountain of rice and peas and a side of plantains

Ordered for pick up and was so excited. The food was not cheap. Based on recent reviewers we decided to give this place a try. I've been here before many years ago and remember enjoying it. Salt fish and ackee were so greasy we had to use a spoon to ladle oil out as we attempted to eat. The bag it arrived in was soaked in oil that was spilling form this dish's. It was also EXTREMELY salty. I've had this dish many times before and it has NEVER been like this. The plantains were hard and rubbery. I cannot for the life of me figure out why or how they managed to get plantains with this kind of nasty texture. We also got likely a child's serving of them. The curry goat was again EXTREMELY salty and mostly bones and gravy. Both of us got rice and veggies for a side as well. Rice and peas was dry and devoid of flavor. Also, why is there so much rice in each box. The steamed veggies were basically mush. We will NEVER order again and we will be sure to tell friends a family to avoid this place. What a waste of money only for me to end up having to cook since nothing here was edible

I will NOT be reordering from here. My chicken was burnt black... my jerk Mac and cheese looked like kraft blue box mac and cheese and the plantains were very very dry. Not to mention the veggies was almost raw. Terrible experience. I would rather eat at Golden Kristen and I don't really eat chains like that.

Well...I hate to do this but it needs to be said. I'm going to have to echo many of the reviews listed already. No need in beating a dead horse so I'll just state the facts. Firstly, I only tried this place bc the other place I was trying to go to ran out of what I wanted and I couldn't make it to a second place before it closed. I was not inspired by the reviews for here despite it's proximity to my house. So here it is. The food just lacked flavor. Period. I can't for the life of me understand the dry plantains. The oxtails were tender but that's it. No flavor. Gravy was more like brown oil. I just cannot in good faith recommend this place. Customer service was not horrible but was nothing to brag about either. I'll leave it at that.

We had their food at our office for a pharmaceutical-sponsored lunch and it was really the first time ever I'd had Jamaican food at the office. The Jerk Chicken was absolutely delicious and cooked so perfectly to do point of falling off the bone. It was nicely seasoned as well. I feel like Jerk Chicken so be appropriately spicy and bathed in Jerk seasonings that I constantly need to drink water while eating the chicken. That test was passed with this chicken. The plaintains were nicely cooked just like I like them. The cabbage was decently steamed and the rice and beans were a nice compliment to the Jerk chicken. This made for a delicious and culturally inspiring lunch. I was quite pleased.

We've eaten here three times, each time hoping maybe it'll be better than the last. We've tried the oxtails, curry chicken, tilapia and stew chicken and everything has been subpar at best. The first time we dined there the beef patties were good which prompted giving them another chance but the most recent order pretty much sealed the deal of not returning. The curry chicken and rice was extremely bland and the collard greens had way too much salt. It seems as the salt was used only on the greens and nothing else. The highlight of the meal was the tartar sauce that came with the tilapia. I can say they at least give a decent amount of chicken but that's about it.

Amazing Jamaican food! I had the small jerk chicken plate with white rice and steamed vegetables and even plantains. I hate plantains because I hate bananas but THESE plantains?!? I loved them! Small plate was plenty of food for me and even had leftovers. Ate the leftovers for lunch the next day and somehow the food got even better. My husband had the jerk chicken wings and he loved those a lot as well. The meat was falling off the bone and super tasty. The only downside.... the service was slow with few people in the restaurant. However, we were not in a hurry and the staff was super friendly. The kitchen appeared to be really busy with take out orders regularly being picked up. They do NOT serve alcohol here. They are waiting on their liquor license and that's hopefully happening soon. Come here for the food and you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to go back.

I wanted to give this location a try since it opened but it just wasn't what I thought it would be…read moredue to the original marketing. Idk the bartender's name but she was the saving grace with the lemon drops & her service 10/10. The food just wasn't good, I just dont know any other way to say it. The calamari the breading was falling off & under cooked, whatever the broth is on the mussels wasn't good, and the chargrilled oysters need some work. The floors in the bathroom were sticky and the toilets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in awhile. If I came back it would be just for the lemon drops, from the exact bartender. Other than that we left and grabbed pizza

We love it when new restaurants are added to the Square. So when we saw a Caribbean place coming…read morein, a cuisine not yet represented, we were excited. There are some great Caribbean spots in and around ATL, so happy to have one we can walk to. But...we need to be real, even in your first few weeks. Your staff is delightful. Polite, quick, helpful. Great service - worth a second star. But, the food... We started with the Clams appetizer, listed on the menu as being in a 'white wine and herb broth that invites dragging crusty bread through'. The reality was that they brought out 10 tiny clams (5 each for sharing!) swimming in approximately half a teaspoon of broth (containing no visible herbs) and none of the crusty bread that you so cruelly taunted us with in the menu. The clams were flavorful, but the size and missing broth/bread made it unsatisfying. On to the entrees - we got the jerk chicken and the skirt steak. The chicken was a little dry and bland, which is a problem with jerk. It felt like it was cooked well in advance - which I generally wouldn't have a problem with in regards to jerk chicken if it was lovingly stewed in sauces and spices all day rendering an unctuous and flavorful dish - this was not that...it tasted dry and old. The skirt steak was tragic. It was obliterated - cooked to the point of being dry and grey on the inside. And, it did not come out hot...like the chicken, it seemed to be cooked well in advance and warmed for service. The sides (rice and veggies) were well cooked and tasty. Carmen - we'll give you some time to work out the kinks and then give you another shot. But if it ends up similar to this one, we've got better options to spend our money at.
