Our dog has been to many doggy daycare and boarding facilities without issue, and when we attempted to set up a meet-and-greet, they wouldn't even consider our dog based on claiming that she is a "bully breed," My partner informed the person with whom he spoke that our dog has been professionally trained and never had any issue with aggression or behavior at any point. They would not even consider this information, nor were they willing to offer suggestions for other facilities we could consider. If this were truly a professional organization, they would know how to accept and accommodate all breeds and not be discriminatory in their practices. We are happy to send our dog and our business to another more professional and respectful facility in the Twin Cities.

My guess is this place has a very limited insurance coverage, which actually makes me question the safety of the facility, in general. If they're not willing to pay for a comprehensive insurance policy that covers all dogs, what else are they skimping on? We may have dodged a bullet by being denied by them. Thankfully, there are a number of other professional dog daycares in the nearby area that have good insurance policies and are happy to have our dog.

I contacted a few people and Twin Cities Pets were the only ones that responded! I am so glad they did and here is why. First, cost for service. They stopped over prior to leaving to meet my pets and find out everything that I wanted to have done. They might do more in 15 minutes than I do in 3 hours with regards to my pets! The service is a great value. Great Service. They obviously love animals. It's nice to know that my guys are going to be with people who really care about their wellbeing. They offered to send me texts with updates, etc. When I came home, the cats looked well cared for and I think they left the litter boxes cleaner than when I left them! :) Just good people. Wow! These guys are the best. My boyfriend and I were going to Duluth for a short weekend get away,…read morewhich is difficult for us to do with a special needs animal. Our senior cat has diabetes and needs to be fed and receive insulin injections on a pretty strict schedule (every 12 hours), and finding friends who were both available for the whole weekend and comfortable giving shots proved to be difficult. We found Twin Cities Pets through an online search and were ecstatic to see that they had prior experience with insulin injections and came to your home. A lot of other pet sitting or boarding services said that they will administer medication, but not injections, so this was lucky and we were so glad we didn't have to board him somewhere, which basically sound like cat jail. Marea came over and met with my boyfriend to pick up our spare key and learn about our cat's routine. We also have a bunny and a few tortoises, and she said she was happy to check on them as well. Marea sent us email updates letting us know everyone was doing A-OK, and we were able to enjoy our vacation with peace of mind knowing that our pets were in great hands. The cost was comparable or maybe even cheaper than boarding, and I know that our cat was much happier staying in his own home and familiar environment. We will definitely be using Twin Cities Pets the next time we go out of town and I would highly recommend them to any other friends in the area.
