I was on a trip and didn't want to leave my vehicle, so Kaleidoscope's drive through seemed like a good bet. I ordered a latte and it was fine. I don't know what else to really say, it wasn't amazing, it was better than Starbucks (I'd rate Starbucks as 1-2 stars), and the barista was reasonably fast and efficient. Located not that far off I5, this place shines as a quick caffeine stop. It's not fancy, they don't espouse single origin or organic or free trade ethos, it's really just a place that makes decent coffee drinks. If I was in the area and needed a caffeine boost I'd come again. But if you're looking for fancy coffee or a meal this isn't that type of place. read more

Was looking for some good coffee after coming from the national park nearby and stoped by this place. The service was great. They customized my drink no problem. The price was great, I was surprised , and the latte was good. I was looking for some decent espresso and this is a good place to get it. There wasn't any in the park or after getting out. This was my third time to the area since my family lives in Anderson, and I've passed by here numerous times, but this was our first visit to Kaleidoscope. We tried to check out the photos and menu before going, but found that they were pretty old, so off we went to check it out. We pulled up and parked after seeing the benches outside and figured we could walk up, but it appeared to be drive thru only. Once we drove up though, they said we were more than welcome to walk up and sit out there, enjoy the beautiful ambiance, and sip down drinks. First off, their menu is a bit more expanded than we thought, offering many more options for customers including a variety of juices, frappes, teas, and different drink flavors, including a bunch of sugar free options for those wanting to enjoy without compromising their health as much. We ordered two medium mango tango smoothies (because Mom and Dad wanted their own each since they won't share with each other), a medium caramel frappe, a medium Mexican mocha frappe with an added shot (because apparently it is Free Shot Monday!), and a small snickers frappe. Let me tell you what! These mediums are pretty much larges at most other chain coffee brands, but for a cheaper price. And the flavors (and sugar) blast through. There's no doubt that these drinks are sweet, but so delicious too! I'm curious to try their normal coffee or espresso drinks as opposed to specialty, sugary dessert style drinks. This place has the best scones, low on sugar, and big enough for small eaters to share. The place is a drive-through with no restrooms however considering the price of 3 coffees and 2 scones average cost is about $7 per person. They do share treats for furry friends. read more

I love this place! Adorable building & seating area, it just looks like a cozy cottage, very Hansel-n-Gretel-ish. My orders have always been correctly made as well as great tasting! The baristas have been nice, efficient, and willing to chat about their process. Most of the popular chains sell & serve burnt-to-a-crisp coffee beans & drinks, and the baristas there don't know a thing about the beans, the process, quality level, just nothing! It's sad really. Don't get me wrong, I'll still go to the coffee chains, but you gotta have the mixed stuff, mochas n lattes with tons of flavoring to mask the nasty. This little shop is different... they buy & serve high quality, non-burnt, high caffeine content, great tasting coffee that doesn't need to be masked. I'm a total coffee lover, and it's an added bonus if they roast their own beans; I dabble in roasting at home, so that's def righteous by me. read more

I'm pretty particular about my espresso, so decided to give them a try and post a review. They carry a variety of organic products and are 1/2 a mile off of I-5. Delicious spiced dirty chai! This coffee shop is a hidden little gem that we found quite by accident. Driving from Portland to San Francisco, we stopped to get gas and wanted some morning coffee. Kaleidoscope magically appeared! I decided on a mocha, which was absolutely delicious. I am very picky about coffee. Burnt-tasting coffee and weak coffee are both deal breakers for me. This coffee was so smooth, strong enough for me yet didn't taste acidic and bother my stomach like many coffees do. It also had the perfect amount of sweetness; not so sickeningly sweet that you can't even taste the coffee. It really was perfect. And we had the most delightful and sweet barista, Sadie. Sadie, you are awesome, and it was so fun chatting with you. Thank you for everything! We'll see you the next time we pass through Anderson.
