Loved everything about this place, when we stopped by for a quick breakfast/coffee on the way to Lake Shasta Caverns. We had the avo-lanche toast (avocado on toast with microgreens and a vinaigrette), and it tasted amazing! Loved it. The bagel with jalapeno cream cheese was also excellent. Staff were very friendly and accommodating! They kindly split my large hot chocolate into 2 small cups for my 2 kids to share. And even went the extra way with my white mocha flavored latte. The food is very delicious and the presentation of the plate is acceptable. To my knowledge just about every meal is a form of ala cart. They should offer maybe some sort of side or drink with the order. The drinks are very attractive and the presentation of certain drinks are at the remarkable stage. The outside were the benches are should have some sort of tarp or cover to protect people who eat outside from the blazing sun during the summer time. This is my favorite Heritage location! I love the industrial rustic design and decor. One of my favorite things to eat is the Loaded Cobb Salad, the dressing is incredible. For a lighter meal, I like the avocado toast with an egg. My husband and I love to have a special meal here with our children from time to time and they love the breakfast sandwiches on bagels with the Italian Soda's! I love the whole coffee beans and often buy the lighter roasts to gift to family back in Hawaii and they love it! I love their seasonal drinks, except get sad when they leave the menu. My husbands favorite coffee to drink from this Heritage location is the Cafe Tonic. My favorite is an 8oz hot latte breve and a cortado. If you enjoy matcha, they have a great matcha latte as well! Heritage Coffeehouse has my favorite bagel sandwich, the Hailey Awesome. I always rave about it and tell my friends and family they have the best bagel sandwich. With that being said I was wanting their biscuit and gravy this morning. I usually get the good gravy add the works but I never eat the avocado so instead of spending an extra $10 to add the works (bacon, eggs & avocado), I opted to just add in the bacon ($3.67 charge) and eggs (an additional 3.67 charge). With the bacon being an addition almost $4 charge I expected to maybe get at least 2 full slices of bacon but when I opened the box to see one slice cut in half, I was pretty disappointed. I don't feel like one slice of bacon is worth $4. Had I known it was one slice I wouldn't have gotten it. This meal alone with ONE small biscuit, 2 scrambled eggs and 1 slice of bacon was $15.74 before taxes which is pretty pricey. I won't be ordering it again and will just stick to the Haile Awesome moving forward. read more

I got the blue machine smoothie: 4 stars, good price and good flavors. I liked that it wasn't too sweet. Would be nice if they had some protein powder as an added option. Hot mocha: husband enjoyed it. 4 stars. Mango smoothie:4 stars. Auntie liked it. Thai tea: 3 stars. Good flavors but need a little extra sugar, which you could get at the counter. The works: 4 stars. Gravy covered biscuits with eggs, bacon, avocado. Auntie liked this. Avo-launch toast: avocado toast with tomatoes, eggs (for 2$), pickled onions, greens, & balsamic. 5 stars per little one who finished everything. Banana joy toast: 4.5 stars. Sour dough toast with banana, honey, peanut butter , and coconut toast and almond slice. Well melded flavor of sweet and salty. Viva la toast: egg battered sour dough toast, butter & maple syrup. With eggs and bacon add on. 5 stars. Uncle ate everything. Super cali- fresh: 5 stars. Croissants was super flaky and crispy. The herb chicken (kinda like chicken salad minus the goop of mayo) was pretty flavorful. Avocado creamy with the tanginess of the balsamic & pickled onion went together so well, I wolfed the sandwich down. Really enjoyed the micro greens too. One of the best thing that I like about this restaurant is that it has portion size ( eg allowing you to order one or two portions depending on your appetite) this is a big plus since many times the portions are too big and I can't finish. Heritage is great! The prices are fine (on par with local specialty coffee shops), the food is very good--the best café-coffee shop style food in town, and the service and ambiance are great. Their coffee is on the lighter side, generally, not bitter at all and their mocha and specialty/seasonal drinks are lovely as well if you like sweet(er) things. The portions of food are good--if you order a bagel sandwich or what have you it will come with a side and make a decent size meal. They're super accommodating for dietary needs so I feel confident asking folks to meet me here if I don't know what they might need. I've stopped here for quick coffee on the go, as well as sat down for a full meal/worked at my laptop for hours, and always have had a pleasant experience over the last few years. They also have great deals if you sign up with your phone number/instagram (discounted food, free coffee) that will really pay off if you frequent. My one gripe (which is not distinct to Heritage) is the upcharge for alternative milk--hopefully they will drop it in the future. read more

I come to this location often, but have been coming less and less because of all the mistakes they make with my simple drink order. That's a whole other story. Today snapped me. I placed an order for food based on multiple sides. Eggs, chicken, avocado etc. all things on their menu that you can order. Lastly i asked for it to be thrown together in a scramble. When I received my order all ingredients were placed separately on my plate including a slice of cheese. I kindly asked the cook why it wasn't tossed together in a scramble as the barista had written down. Her reasoning: "we can't make anything we're not trained to make that is not specifically on the menu..." So taking all those ingredients and throwing them in with the eggs wasn't possible because it wasn't defined on the menu as such and there's no "training" on how to do that. She acted like I was asking her to bake a cake. This type of rigid thinking is what causes a loss of customers. I'm absolutely done dealing with their staff here. Lastly, fix the POTHOLE at the entrance of your parking lot. It takes 10 minutes and one or two 5 gallon buckets of gravel to fill it in and save people from having the underside of their car trashed. It's been like that forever. read more

Being from the area, I would have never thought I'd find a place like Heritage Coffeehouse that offers fresh and healthier options - in Shasta lake city of all places! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The interior is stylish, comfortable, and spacious. There are plenty of large tables (perfect for laptops) and upstairs is a co-working area. The bathrooms are spacious, clean and family friendly with a changing table in the women's restroom. This would be a great place to stop if your traveling and passing through the area. This place is so cozy.. super clean and always friendly. I'm usually always on the go but my kids and I have taken the time to sit and enjoy it. It's seems like they enjoy changing it up and have added more tables and chairs. I only go when I come into town but it's great to be greeted with a sincere smile.. unlike Starbucks!! This place is so cute. I'm glad it was referred to me or else I would have completely missed it. Heritage is located about a 15 minute drive North of Redding. This is a great spot to do some remote work, which is what I was doing during this visit. I ordered their Gibraltar with oat milk and the Hallie Awesome Bagel Sandwich sans bacon bits. The Gibraltar was very delicious, but it's only 4 oz so I finished it way too quickly. The bagel sandwich was DELICIOUS. The housemaid basil mayo was *chef's kiss*. I have to mention that the service was exceptional. The employees took great care in learning the name of every customer as well as introducing themselves.
