The prices were very reasonable in comparison to many of the vintage/antique stores in general. I live about an hour away from here but I will come back to see what new stuff they have! When the cashier rang it up, it was more expensive than the tag read (it's worth mentioning that their bags have two tags, a hang tag on the strap near the hanger and a detailed tag stuffed in the bag somewhere that usually takes the cashier a bit to find). I pointed out the price discrepancy, and was curtly told that the price inside is the one that counts. I wasn't willing to pay more it, and told her I'd have to pass at that price, and thanked her anyway. I offered to put the bag back on the rack. She told me I was out of luck because they had a no return policy. I had not completed my purchase and reminded her of this. She said there was no way to cancel a card that she'd already swiped. I realize I should not have given her my card until she told me the price, but wasn't concerned at the time. She said that my credit card had been charged and that I could take the bag or not, she didn't care. I told her that she could either cancel the card or that I could do a chargeback on my credit card, which shouldn't be a problem since I had not authorized the charge. She told me that if I didn't sign, it was fraud. I asked if she was going to cancel the charge or if I needed to call my credit card company. She was pissed, but reversed the charge (the thing she'd told me repeatedly that she couldn't do). Obviously, I won't be back, and was disappointed by the aggressively bad customer service from a locally-owned business.

Second when you turn clothes in, and meet with their approval, you are on your own. You must remember to check back and see if they sold it, and hope they were honest when they said they didn't and when you look for it it's gone. There is no record of it, so they could of sold it or "donated " it. For purchase there are a few nice things, but nothing you couldn't find at the Goodwill store down the road.

This place is a little sketchy looking and you definitely need to wash anything you get from here…read more(as with any thrift store) but to me this has been a treasure trove for clothing and home goods. Probably my best ever find was a brand new espresso machine with a milk frother that was ten bucks. This is the only thrift store in Kankakee county where you actually have a chance of finding vintage clothes as well. I haven't bought furniture from here but they always have it at eleventh-hour garage sale prices.
