Very disappointed with my experience at Kali Dental. I honestly don't understand why this office has so many great reviews. Based on my experience, I feel the office is very overrated. I was charged $100 for an X-ray, and afterward I was told that I needed a deep cleaning costing $1,300. I was surprised by how quickly additional and expensive treatments were recommended. My biggest advice to anyone going here: ASK FOR THE PRICE BEFORE AGREEING TO ANY SERVICE. Don't assume the cost will be reasonable or that everything is covered by your insurance. Get a detailed estimate first. I felt like the focus was more on persuading me to get different treatments than on giving me a transparent explanation of my options and costs. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion and comparing prices before agreeing to any expensive dental treatment. At Kali Dental I was surprisingly happy with everything from the new technology that didn't make taking x-rays a pain to the parking that was open and spacious! I was one of their first patients of the day and was greeted with a smile and excellent patient care & customer service. All of the staff members were able to answer my questions from my oral health to my insurance! They use high tech equipment (e.g., scanning the mouth with a wand and 3D printing my night guard) which makes things so much easier (and fun) for the patient. I got my teeth cleaned here along with X-rays and everything was covered under insurance. I've always had good teeth so I didn't need any extra work done. The office is new and very nice. The prettiest dental office I've ever been to. Dr. Nguyen and staff were welcoming and polite. I really like how he uses a power scraper (different from my other dentist) it feels less abrasive on my gums. I also like that they flossed my teeth (my old dentist didn't). Dr. Kalvin is amazing!!! He is the reason why my teeth are healthy and I'm no longer suffering from pain caused by my canker sore that was on my tongue. I was in desperate need to alleviate the pain, which made it difficult for me to eat, drink, and talk. I'm grateful that he was accommodating and squeezed me in to be seen on such short notice for a laser treatment of my canker sore and teeth cleaning. He was extremely gentle with my teeth and was thorough in explaining the laser treatment that he'd be doing to treat my canker sores. The laser treatment helps speed up the healing process and halts the progression of the canker sores. The treatment took LESS than 5 minutes and I didn't feel a thing! I would definitely do it again for my future canker sores. By the next morning, my pain was minimized significantly! I can eat and talk without discomfort and pain now. Dr. Kalvin stands out to me due to his compassionate care, expertise, professionalism, kindness, and wonderful bedside manner. I can tell he genuinely cares for the well-being of his patients. Their dental equipment is newer tech, which made me feel like it made the process more painless. Liked the little details like the fun PC screensaver to make me feel a little more at ease. They also display the x-rays of your teeth during the time you're seated and explain thoroughly what's going on. They could tell I was nervous (since I don't like doing dentist visits in general), but they made me feel safe during my procedure. Probably the best experience I've had at a dental office! I've been with my previous dentist throughout my whole lifetime and figured I should look into finding a new dentist for my bi-annual cleaning especially if I might move closer to this area. Upon arriving, I was pleased to find plenty of available parking including ADA parking. The building is new and very clean with many food spots nearby. The interior is very clean, bright, and welcoming which is complimented by the kind staff. The little hints of Pokémon and décor was fun to look at and made everything feel more friendly (which I believe is a huge plus since most people find dental visits a bit intimidating). A lot of new technology and monitors in the rooms for the dentist to be able to communicate any problem areas or areas that may need attention. Dr. Kalvin was very friendly and professional. He respects his patients and provides very good insight and knowledge. Dr. Kalvin consistently checked in on me during my cleaning asking if there's any sensitivity or discomfort during the process. The overall cleaning was very pleasant and definitely a lot more comfortable than my usual dentist. The cleaning didn't hurt at all, I didn't feel like I was drooling or being sprayed with water all day, and everyone was very attentive to the patient's comfort. Here's the updated review: --- I recently had my 2 more crowns done at Kali Dental with Dr. Kalvin Nguyen, just before my travel on Friday. I had two cracked teeth that were really bothering me, and Dr. Nguyen was able to fix them with crowns in just two hours! The best part was that they have a machine that makes the crowns on-site, so I didn't have to wait weeks. I was able to eat comfortably the same day. A big thank you to Amanda and Dr. Kalvin for their excellent care. They followed up with me multiple times and made all the necessary adjustments until I felt comfortable.
