The best eggs at the Mar Vista Farmers Market!
    Angelena Z.

I have searched 3yrs for good eggs. And these are the best eggs. Why? Local, Organic, Non-GMO, No Corn, No Soy, Free Ranged! Good for your health and from happy chickens. This is the optimal egg! I will only buy these eggs from now on. I am so thankful to have found them at the Mar Vista Farmers Market (Sunday's 9am-2pm). I saw their sign "Omma's Garden" and thought of my mom. It means Mom in Korean (My mom is Korean and has chickens of her own in Hawai'i). I was chatting with Kaliko's brother who was selling eggs at the stand and learned it also means grandma in many other languages. He had said tutu means grandmother in Hawaiian and that's when I learned they were from Oahu! That was such a special moment for me and my sister who I was with. My mom loves her Ameraucana chickens and we couldn't wait to tell her all about Omma's Garden and the special eggs we discovered. It was so nice talking stories and learning about their farm and family. I feel like I'm buying local on the next level because I also feel like I'm buying local back home in Hawai'i too! So much aloha. If you want the best of the best eggs, this is it! They were hit hard in the recent Malibu fires. Show your support! https://www.gofundme.com/malibu-fire-a-new-flock-for-kaliko

Finally tried these eggs. As a former vegan, now strictly occasion ovatarian I eat limited amounts of eggs. When I do, it is so important for me to know that the eggs that I do eat come from places where the chickens are treated properly. These chickens are not fed corn, soy, and are GMO free ! Most importantly, they are free-range. Who doesn't want happy chickens? Anyway, in order to properly test these I did several taste tests. Hard boiled eggs comparison, scrambled egg comparison, and sunny side up comparison (very legit, I know) The results were all consistent. When compared, they were denser. Although they are similar in size the contents was much heavier and more filling. Maybe it's because they're filled with happiness - who knows ! Either way they were delicious. Aesthetically, it's adorable that they come in different colors. It makes it seem more natural. I definitely recommend these eggs for the occasional egg eater or the eggthusiasts!

    so yummmmmmmy!

There's basically nowhere to enjoy your wine besides your assigned seat, service was all over the place, and communication between staff was nonexistent. One employee offered to place our order for us, disappeared entirely, then another walked up later telling us we had to order ourselves anyway. I ended up spending around $150 on pretty mediocre pizza and probably another $150 on wine, and the manager, Robert, was unnecessarily rude on top of it all. Safe to say I won't be returning. P.S. Rob.. this isn't my real name, but feel free to add it to the 'not welcome back' notes anyway because I won't be back and neither will Dani.

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had…read more My fiancée booked a Valentine Lovers Horseback Ride last year, and it was a mess from start to finish. This was shortly after the really terrible rains in Los Angeles, so the horses were absolutely disgusting, covered in crusty mud and dirt all over. I had dressed a little cute to take some nice photos during the ride, which I quickly realized was a horrible mistake because we were told that we had to brush the horses ourselves. Dirt and dust was flying everywhere and got all over my clothes. It took at least 20-30 minutes to complete, and it felt like we were paying THEM to clean THEIR horses. We had made it very clear that we were very inexperienced horseback riders since we had only ridden a horse one time in our lives. So we were just looking forward to a very slow, relaxing ride with some beautiful views. However, after about half an hour of a nice slow walk with the horses, our guide (Wyatt) told us that we had to make our horses start trotting. I said over and over that I did not feel comfortable doing that, and I would prefer to stay at a slow pace. However, he told me that we weren't leaving until I made my horse (Biscuit, who might I add is a retired racehorse with all sorts of trauma, I'm sure) trot. After feeling very uncomfortable and trapped since Wyatt was peer pressuring me to make the horse trot (and I didn't know how to get off my horse by myself), I felt like I had no choice. Within minutes of telling my horse to trot, he started going way too fast for me and I couldn't get him to slow down. As a result, he bucked me off and I slammed on the ground, seriously bruising my kneecap and giving me an awful headache because I hit my head on the ground after I landed on my knee. I was crying the entire time, but instead of Wyatt calling someone to grab Biscuit, he MADE me get back on the horse to go all the way back down the mountain. I was crying and begged him to just let me walk him back down, but he wouldn't allow it and said we weren't going anywhere until I complied. I was so shaken up and in so much pain by the time I got back down the mountain, that I was completely numb to the event. I am so thankful that I am someone who is in relatively good shape because if this had been a child or an elderly person, this could have been a fatal event. DO NOT GO HERE. It's probably fine if you are an experienced horseback rider, but if you are looking for an easy gentle ride, this is the worst option you could possibly choose. I think this is the only review I've ever left a 1 star for because of how dangerous this was. :(

My driver honked horn many times and finally someone came out and said they didn't have a reservation for me. Then someone else came out and said they did have one but didn't notice it in their systems. Asked me if I could come back tomorrow which I could not. They apologized and offered me a future bottle of wine if I came back. I don't drink. Property does not look like or behave like a professional business or ranch. Really bummed out as I planned my weekend around this. I would find another place to go riding and/or equine therapy. Zero stars.

Yes, the line can be long, but there's a reason for that--this place is phenomenal. Between the incredible food, friendly staff, and stunning location, it's worth every minute of the wait. On our most recent visit, we ordered a 16-ounce clam chowder (in a bowl, not a bread bowl), a side of seaweed salad, a side of imitation crab salad, and the fried fish and fries. Not only was everything delicious, but we were honestly shocked that all of that food came out to around $50. The portions are generous, the quality is outstanding, and the value is hard to beat, especially in Malibu. One thing that always stands out is the hospitality. Everyone working here seems genuinely happy to be there. Every visit, we're greeted by smiling faces and great service. You can tell this place is run by people who care about what they do. Over the past year, we've tried quite a few items on the menu, and I can honestly say we've never had a bad meal. It's hard to pick a favorite because everything is consistently excellent. The outdoor seating area overlooking the water makes the experience even better. Sitting outside with fresh seafood, ocean views, and the Malibu breeze is pretty hard to top. If you're in Malibu and looking for a great place to eat, do not pass this spot by. You won't regret it. Malibu Seafood is one of those rare places that gets everything right, and we look forward to every visit.

We've tried the grilled salmon in the past- and it's nicely cooked and tasty - but the star of the show is their fried offerings. What could be better than a crisply fried piece of cod with delicious fries overlooking the ocean? They do a better job frying fish than much more expensive places (looking at you Santa Monica seafood restaurant). The coleslaw is always fresh, and we also love the creamy chowder, chock full of clam bits. My one note is that they do not season their food so you need to add salt and pepper to everything. The coleslaw benefits from salt and a squeeze of lemon or a few drops of the malt vinegar on the table (also good with the fries of course). I'm not sure why they don't season their fish or batter - but maybe they figure it's best to keep it unsalted and people can add seasoning? There is also hot sauce on the table which adds the perfect zing to the chowder. The people who run the place are friendly and the place is especially popular on weekends. I'd recommend coming midweek either before or after peak lunch hours. Highly recommend.
