Twenty Nine Oaks Ranch is simply incredible. Booked a date outing for my boyfriend and I as he loves riding horses. As I'm an animal lover as well, I always hesitated as most ranches I went to seemed to not have happy horses. Had more aggressive methods of working with the horses. At Twenty Nine Oaks that is NOT the case. Immediately we were met by Wyatt who runs the ranch and was taking us out on our ride. He has the best energy, is so warm and truly loves his animals. We got paired with our horse and were able to connect with them before riding. I had Mijo (the best guy) and my boyfriend had Tank (a beautiful, regal horse). Brushing them, learning to clean their shoes, and learning about the saddle process. We got a quick lesson to build a stronger bond with our horse and when we were ready, we were off for the ride. We went out for a little over an hour (as we were running late but were not rushed even in the slightest bit) and it was just the most beautiful ride. Through the mountain side, lush flowers and so quiet and tranquil. Wyatt chatted with us on a personal level, gave us some funny stories, gave us history on the horses and more. It felt like we were on a ride with an old friend and we were just catching up. Beyond thankful for the magic we had during this experience. Was a great closer to the weekend. Booked 3 weeks ahead, cancelled on me 1 hour before arrival - then made me chase my own refund I booked with Twentynine Oaks Ranch three weeks in advance. An hour before I was supposed to arrive, while I was already on the road, I got a call cancelling my reservation due to smoke in the area. I understand there are liability concerns with air quality, so I'm not faulting the decision to cancel - but everything after that was a mess. On that same call, when she asked, I said I'd like a refund. Two weeks went by with no refund and no follow-up, so I called them. Their voicemail instructed me to leave a text message, which I did. Nothing. I texted again the next day. Still nothing. After three days of trying to reach someone about my own money, she finally picked up - and started yelling at me. It got worse from there. After that last call, she sent me nasty text messages and basically blamed me for not leaving my number. If reaching me was the problem, why not just call back or reach out politely? Instead of a simple, professional follow-up, I got hostility. Cancelling for safety is one thing. Ignoring a customer for two weeks, forcing them to chase a refund across multiple calls and texts, and then yelling and sending rude messages when they finally get through is completely unprofessional. I'd think twice before booking here. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. My fiancée booked a Valentine Lovers Horseback Ride last year, and it was a mess from start to finish. This was shortly after the really terrible rains in Los Angeles, so the horses were absolutely disgusting, covered in crusty mud and dirt all over. I had dressed a little cute to take some nice photos during the ride, which I quickly realized was a horrible mistake because we were told that we had to brush the horses ourselves. Dirt and dust was flying everywhere and got all over my clothes. It took at least 20-30 minutes to complete, and it felt like we were paying THEM to clean THEIR horses. We had made it very clear that we were very inexperienced horseback riders since we had only ridden a horse one time in our lives. So we were just looking forward to a very slow, relaxing ride with some beautiful views. However, after about half an hour of a nice slow walk with the horses, our guide (Wyatt) told us that we had to make our horses start trotting. I said over and over that I did not feel comfortable doing that, and I would prefer to stay at a slow pace. However, he told me that we weren't leaving until I made my horse (Biscuit, who might I add is a retired racehorse with all sorts of trauma, I'm sure) trot. After feeling very uncomfortable and trapped since Wyatt was peer pressuring me to make the horse trot (and I didn't know how to get off my horse by myself), I felt like I had no choice. Within minutes of telling my horse to trot, he started going way too fast for me and I couldn't get him to slow down. As a result, he bucked me off and I slammed on the ground, seriously bruising my kneecap and giving me an awful headache because I hit my head on the ground after I landed on my knee. I was crying the entire time, but instead of Wyatt calling someone to grab Biscuit, he MADE me get back on the horse to go all the way back down the mountain. I was crying and begged him to just let me walk him back down, but he wouldn't allow it and said we weren't going anywhere until I complied. I was so shaken up and in so much pain by the time I got back down the mountain, that I was completely numb to the event. I am so thankful that I am someone who is in relatively good shape because if this had been a child or an elderly person, this could have been a fatal event. DO NOT GO HERE. It's probably fine if you are an experienced horseback rider, but if you are looking for an easy gentle ride, this is the worst option you could possibly choose. I think this is the only review I've ever left a 1 star for because of how dangerous this was. :( read more

Made and paid for a reservation online. $150.00 and when I get there no signs or information to tell you where to go. My driver honked horn many times and finally someone came out and said they didn't have a reservation for me. Then someone else came out and said they did have one but didn't notice it in their systems. Asked me if I could come back tomorrow which I could not. They apologized and offered me a future bottle of wine if I came back. I don't drink. Property does not look like or behave like a professional business or ranch. Really bummed out as I planned my weekend around this. I would find another place to go riding and/or equine therapy. Zero stars. read more

This one's rough. The goats were ADORABLE. I give the goats 5 stars for being little cuties. Seriously so darn cute!!! But everything else was ghetto and trash. It's dirty. Literally dirt everywhere and you have to climb up the stairs/ hill to get up to the goats. We had a hard time even finding the place because it was in the middle of nowhere and there was a TINY sign that said "goats this way." Parking is sketchy and there isn't much. We got out of our cars and stood there super confused because we didn't even know where to go. After awhile someone walked down and asked if we were there for the goats. Then we walked up the stairs and dirt hillside and were brought to some ghetto outdoor tables and chairs. Other people showed up late because they got lost also due to the poor signage. We were able to walk in and each got a cup of feed to give to the goats. The goats were adorable. Then we were seated and served microwaved things that were made at the house.... I believe his mom made the food. It was just weird. Much of it was snacks you can buy at the dollar tree. And it was put on a plate to eat. For example chocolate covered raisins, pretzels and microwaved jalapeño poppers sprinkled with chips. Like what the heck. SO unprofessional especially in the middle of a pandemic. You want guests to rely on the fact that your mom cooked this food right? That the cheese isn't spoiled? And the food was disappointing. Wine was cheap a$$ wine and served warm. Not even chilled. Tasted like the 2 buck chuck stuff. Terrible. So my friend and I had to use the restroom. We had to go inside the house......... This was very uncomfortable. And the mom was sitting in the living room and just glared at us when we went inside. Ummm what in the Deliverance kinda crap is this?!?!?! Save your money and go to a petting zoo. read more

I pretty much agree with Trish Q's review so won't repeat what's already been said. Some friends and I booked the experience through the Fever app. If you learn one thing before you go it's that it's definitely not worth the $80/each cost. Family who runs it is very nice. But unless you ask (which I did), they don't offer much background on the goats or ranch, except to say they're essentially used for petting zoos, and not for their milk to make cheese, etc. Goats are... goats. Expect them to be kind of aggressive when you're in the pen feeding them. And be SURE to wear pants or leggings you don't mind getting dirty. The goats will push and climb up on you, so make sure your legs (and sometimes arms) are covered. Brunch was delicious, but it's one plate with quiche, potatoes, jalapeño poppers, and fruit. We weren't hungry when we left, but we definitely weren't full. Mimosas are more OJ than champagne, so feel free to bring your own bubbles. If you're doing this visit for the Gram, the $80 is probably worth it for you. Otherwise, save your money. read more

We booked a goat brunch through the fever app. Read some other yelp reviews claiming that these were just Trader Joe's appetizers and the dishware was dirty. This was not our experience at all. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. Jalapeño poppers, goat cheese quiche, country potatoes, and bottomless mimosas. The goats or cute, there's a very cool farm dog, a farm cat that wanders around. Very friendly staff. We had a great time. Very nice view. Highly recommended. Three friends and I attended the "Bubbly, Baby Goats and Brunch" this past Sunday at 29 Oaks Ranch in Agoura. Booked it through Fever and paid $79pp. Had a blast! Played with, fed, held and took pix with the goats, enjoyed abundant mimosas and a delicious brunch of goat cheese quiche, goat cheese stuffed peppers, salad, fruit and potatoes. Setting was charming, location lovely, everyone had a great time and the people were very nice! Location was easy to find, not far off the freeway but felt a world away. Goats were just adorable! Would highly recommend this unique and delightful experience! First started out brushing them then Wyatt gave us some training tips before we went for this beautiful and scenic ride. He rescues these horses from bad situations and provides them with such love. I booked a 2 hour trail ride for me and my family and when we got there, no horses were prepared and our guide, a very sweet young man who walked barefoot through the horse manure into the pasture with the horses, led the horses to us and told us to brush them -- an impossible task because the horses' coats were embedded with dirt, mud and dust. Everything was covered in dirt and dust and cobwebs. 25 minutes later, still no horses were tacked and he was teaching my 11 year old daughter how to tack the horse she would ride, and I just told him we weren't going to do this. It was ridiculous. There were warning signs: Lynn, the woman in charge, told me she used to book through Airbnb but had trouble getting paid by them. Why, I wonder? Based on my experience, I think I know why. There were other warning signs as well, but I really hoped this ride would work out. I've asked multiple times for a refund but received no reply. Our dessert plate consisted of a few Chocolate covered raisins and 2 mini Hersheys bars. Wyatt was our guide and made us both feel super comfortable and confident. This is a cute ranch on a hill. There are no signs on the road so you have to use your instincts lol. We found an offer for brunch with goats and it was an interesting experience. This place is run by a very friendly family. The goats are in a pen on a hill so it is not little kid friendly (no pun intended). Brunch was a slice of quiche, two jalapeño poppers, and potatoes. This is not upscale or fancy and you will get a little dirty in the goat pen. The goats are cute and there were baby goats as well as adults. I had a hard time finding the place at first but their kind neighbor came to the rescue. For a city girl like me, the ranch was very rustic and beautifully nestled in the middle of old Agoura Hills. The greeting committee made me feel like I was back in time, somewhere in the 60's or 70's. I am glad I was dressed for the occasion in a long sleeve shirt, jeans and boots. Our group was small and every guest wore a mask. Upon arriving we chose our sitting area. Chairs and tables were arranged far enough apart and the setting was lovely. We were given a cup of goat food and taken to the goat pan. These goats were fun, adorable, happy and spirited. I thought dogs inhaled their food. Goats are in a class of their own. The young wrangler who owns them was so knowledgeable and informative about the breed and their characteristics. I learned so much about them. I got to hold a 6 week old and was gently nudged a couple of time by an assertive goat who wanted my attention. After our time with the goats, we returned to our sitting area. My 2 friends and I were together and a 4th person joined us. The hostess said hello to everybody and we were given some worm moist towels to clean our hands. Mimosa were brought in as well as brunch which consisted of a light fare with a goat cheese quiche, some goat cheese stuffed poppers and some potato. I had a great time hanging out with my friends in this beautiful vista. It was as if time stood still and the chaos in our mist was gone. My friends and I had a great time both at the mimosa brunch and afternoon wine/cheese tasting. First you feed the goats and sheep (the day I went, there was a 1-day old lamb we got to hold!) and then you relax. Everyone was socially distanced but everyone started mingling and chatting. My husband surprised me with brunch and mimosas while enjoying the company of goats this morning. The goats were hungry and adorable and we saw them first by feeding and petting them. Next we were given warm, wet, lavender scented cloths to clean up so we could sit and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Forgot to mention their sweetie pie dog, Claus who loved getting our attention while with the goats. Wyatt took great care of us and our glasses were never empty of water or mimosas. His mom did the cooking and it was a very tasty selection of goat cheese stuffed jalapeños, home fried potatoes and quiche with sundried tomatoes, all topped off with icy cold pineapple chunks! We were also greeted by their very friendly cat Chico, who just loved to be petted! Well, the experience was weird. Will definitely be something to talk about. The place looks a bit run down. $80.00 was a bit of a rip off. My friend just loves goats so we thought it would be fun. You spend about 30 minutes with the goats in their pen. They all look healthy and when you have the food pellets in your hands they are very aggressive (to be expected) they calm down once the food is gone. They were cute and all. Then you move over to brunch. Mimosas were not flowing. Set up was mediocre at best. View was ok. You had to go thru the hosts bedroom to use the bathroom. Bedroom was not clean. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Food was good - quiche, potato's, peppers and fruit. Not an $80.00 experience. Stairs and goat pen were treacherous - law suits waiting to happen. Host (Kyle) had zero charm and gave little info about anything. This whole thing could have really been great if they had better up keep and put a little effort into it.
