I've heard something like 70% of people are not good candidates for a normal lip lift, and of the 30% that are, the results aren't very apparent in about half of them. That means that a normal lip lift only helps about 15% of the population who seek them. The solution for this gap in the market is Dr. Stong's cutting-edge Perialar lip lift. I want to begin by saying that I had a good consultation with Dr. Stong. I found him to be knowledgeable and talented at what he does. Based on his before-and-after photos and the results I saw, I had every confidence that he was capable of delivering a beautiful surgical outcome. Ultimately, after extensive research and multiple consultations with several surgeons, I chose another surgeon. This was not because I believed Dr. Stong was incapable or less skilled. In fact, I believe both surgeons are highly talented and would have likely provided excellent results. What changed my perspective was what happened after I made my decision. Following my consultation, I first received calls from his office staff. Then I began receiving text messages from Dr. Stong's personal cell phone questioning my choice and expressing surprise that I had selected another surgeon. The messages included comments suggesting I would be "getting half the results," that I was falling for marketing schemes, criticism of the other surgeon's training, and repeated insistence that he was the better choice. Unfortunately, the communication did not stop there. I received text messages after midnight, phone calls, and additional text messages that continued over the course of three days after I had already made my decision clear and was no longer responding. What began as an unexpected follow-up ultimately became persistent enough that I felt I had no choice but to block further communication and write this review. As a patient, I found this uncomfortable, disappointing, inappropriate, and ultimately very unsettling. Patients invest significant time, emotion, money, and trust when choosing a surgeon. We research, compare, ask questions, review outcomes, and make the best decision we can for ourselves. Once that decision has been made, it should be respected. A patient should never feel pressured to defend their choice, justify their decision, or continue discussing it after the matter has been settled. What stood out to me most was that the decision was no longer about surgical skill. It became about professionalism, communication, boundaries, and respect for patient autonomy. I understand that surgeons are passionate about their work and take pride in their results. However, there is a difference between confidence and repeatedly contacting a patient after they have made an informed decision to go elsewhere. My consultation experience itself was positive. The communication that followed was not. I sincerely wish Dr. Stong and his practice continued success, and I believe he has helped many patients achieve wonderful results. However, I also believe prospective patients deserve to know that how a physician handles a patient's decision can be just as important as the surgery itself. Technical skill gets someone on the list of surgeons you're willing to consider. I spent nearly $700 on upper eyelid filler and experienced significant complications, including noticeable eyelid drooping (ptosis) that lasted for several months. The entire experience was extremely disappointing. The office initially assured me they would resolve the issue to my satisfaction. However, after multiple visits, phone calls, and months of follow-up, I was still not satisfied with the outcome. Eventually, I sought corrective treatment elsewhere to help address the problem. Patients should be aware that upper eyelid filler is a controversial procedure that carries risks. In my case, after I developed ptosis that persisted for more than five months, Dr. Stong attempted to dissolve the filler but also suggested that I may have had pre-existing ptosis. I repeatedly requested a refund, which I believe should have been offered much earlier given the circumstances, but that never happened. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office. I found the communication and follow-up disappointing, and I felt my concerns were not taken seriously. Beyond the financial cost, the situation resulted in a significant investment of time, patience, and additional treatment expenses. I underwent a rhinoplasty with Dr. Stong in 2019. From the outset, the experience raised serious concerns. On the day of surgery, Dr. Stong arrived an hour late, and throughout was dismissive and displayed an egotistical demeanor, which made it difficult to feel heard or taken seriously as a patient. About a year ago, I reached out to Dr. Stong to express growing concerns as my nose was visibly collapsing, I was experiencing breathing difficulties, and I had cartilage protruding from the tip of my nose. I became extremely self conscious of my nose as it had collapsed and looked completely botched. Rather than addressing these concerns clinically, his response was dismissive. He stated, "You haven't mentioned once that you like your nose your nose looks fine," disregarding both the issues I was describing. When I requested my medical records related to this surgery, I was informed that they did not have my records available to release to me. Given the severity of the complications I was experiencing, this lack of access to my own medical records was extremely concerning and felt highly unprofessional. The outcome of this surgery resulted in a revision rhinoplasty this year. During the seven hour revision procedure, my new surgeon had to fully open and reconstruct my nose due to the extent of the internal damage present. A significant amount of cartilage had been removed, bone was protruding, and my septum was completely deviated. I was informed that this was one of the most severe cases and careless work my revision surgeon had encountered. As a result, I have now had to undergo a reconstructive operation, with substantial physical recovery, emotional distress, and financial burden, all of which could have been avoided with appropriate surgical care the first time. After going through this experience and reading other reviews, it is clear that I am not alone. There are numerous other patients who have reported similar issues, including being botched, dismissive and arrogant behavior, him arriving late to surgery, and difficulty obtaining their medical records. I think may be safe to get smaller things done with him but the big surgeries ( deep plane face lifts, neck lifts etc...) I would say PLEASE do your research first. My reviews have been removed multiple times. He ruined my face and it's been 3 years of 10s of thousands of dollars trying to fix it. He refused to release medical records and I had to file 2 complaints with the medical board which reprimanded him accordingly. He tried to post before and after pics but the board made him take them down because he did not have my permission and the pics were altered. This has been the worst experience ive had in my years of getting filler, from beginning to end. Dr Ben Strong botched my lips and Botox, and when I left crying I was told to reach out and stay in touch. They stopped responding to my emails after the second one, they have not called back, and have blocked me on social media as I was posting these results, so other can see his work. No solution is being offered, he will steal your money and run. He is scary in the careless way he injects, I was passing out at one point and tried to tell him, in wich he responded that no, I was no and that I was having a Vaso vagal response. I have been getting filler for years and have had cheek, lip, and jawline, but never have I left feeling this way. I left crying, I knew I was botched the moment I saw my lips. Please look up what Glassdoor says about these reviews, please look at social media, as others have spoken about him online. I wish I had seen that, I wish I now didn't have to turn around and have 1600$ worth of product dissolved after being humiliated by his work. I waited the two weeks, my lip has healed in a perfect triangle as seen in the photos below. I had a second opinion from another surgeon who states it looks like incorrect filler was used and placed nearly all outside the actual lips, and from the bruising that I was lucky I didn't get a vascular occlusion. I'm still bruised at two weeks out. The bruising was very significant even when it states online it's bruise less, both under my eyes were bruised as well as my lips. . Please do not go here, they will botch you and ignore you when you try to find a solution. Based on the response to the other reviews it looks like they often try to turn it on the patient. Run, don't walk. My lip is a triangle and they will not offer a solution. My solution is I want my money back for my lips and botched botox, as my eyebrows have fallen significantly when I wanted them to rise and help alleviate a hooded eye. They have fallen dramatically, the surgeon second openion I got was shocked at how much must have been used. I stated I will pay for the under eye filler, there is one lump on one side but that I can live with, I understand results don't have to be perfect, just not completely horrific. I asked for my money back only for what was botched, and have emailed 5 or 6 times now asking for a solution. The only thing I had heard was wait the two weeks, they are not responding now that we are two weeks out. The only thing I heard in the first emails is to do the virtual follow up with dr strong, but after this visit I told them I'm not comfortable talking to him and do not want to do anything further unless it's another provider speaking with me or helping to correct the filler. Dr Strong genuinely scared me in how hard he was slamming the needle forward under my eye, shaking with the effort and going so quickly, and with the lips he did the same. He grabbed my lip and pushed the cannula through while not explaining anything as to what he was doing or what to expect, just silently ramming a cannula through my lips as fast as possible. I was so uncomfortable, as he doesn't explain anything or clean the skin before injecting. He just grabs the areas and rams the cannula in as fast as possible and injects as quickly as he can to be done with it. Please let my photos be your deciding factor. The receptionists were both very sweet, they were kind and understanding when I came back crying after leaving to call my husband about what to do. They got someone for me to talk to who told me to wait and to stay in touch and reach out with any questions or concern...and when I did and told them that I'm not comfortable with doctor strong dissolving or working with me again they are ignoring me rather than refunding partial purchase so I can have it fixed where I feel safe. When my earrings started drooping I gave Dr. Stong's office a call and was able to be scheduled in right away. I was a little nervous that I would have scarred ears or be borrowing my grandmothers clip ons, but the office staff calmed my nerves as they were all friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Stong was great and was able to completely close my stretched earring hole from the backside, minimizing any scarring. Untrained, unprofessional, and clueless staff. First time calling I was given the wrong information about a procedure. Went back online to their website to double check their procedure and called again. The receptionist was clueless about the procedure and gave me the wrong info again. When I made the comment about what was on their website instead of accepting her error she said their website was going thru some changes (false) she put another person on the phone who started explaining another procedure (a face lift) keep in mind I never even mention a face lift at all when I was able to actually talk the individual just said the doctors "preference" was to do things a different way than what on their website So are they lying on their website or their staff is just clueless and unprofessional ? I went for removal of two big cystic bumps on my face. The bumps had been there for two years, and were slowly growing. All the doctors before Kalos said surgery was the only solution. I called Kalos because I was interested in getting three dark spots removed by laser treatment.The receptionist suggested a chemical peel. I was excited never had a chemical peel. I paid the 50$ deposits immediately leaving me with a balance of 300.00 I made the appointment for the following Monday on 06/14/21. Upon my arrival the staff was very friendly and helpful. I received the chemical peel, I could feel it burning my face the tech stated it was normal and gave me a small fan which helped the burning feeling. After receiving the chemical peel the tech gave me aftercare treatment instructions that I followed, a box of sunscreen, moisturizer. Once I got home my face was still burning. I decided to wash the chemical peel off after 5 hours it was burning as if my face was on fire. Tuesday, I woke up with small sores in two different areas on my face /red spots on my face. I knew something was wrong. I continue to think positive because this is my face. I just didn't want to admit that this chemical peel was too strong for my skin type. Wednesday, I woke to dark areas on my face with no peeling going on. Thursday, I woke to some areas peeling but not much. Friday, no peeling just dark areas all over my face. I was still trying to think positive. Thinking my face is going to come back to its normal color. After getting off work I noticed small white blisters on the side of my face. I immediately called Kalos, left a voicemail waiting on a response. My face looks horrible angry at myself for allowing this to be done to my face. Praying my face heal my skin wasn't that bad. Saturday, 06/19/21 I started my healing process myself trying my best to get my face back to normal. I've been looking at youtube videos hope this work. I decided to finally get my nose fixed after it was broken twice due to sports injuries years back. I had always been apprehensive about getting both a rhinoplasty and a septoplasty because I didn't want to go through the pain of a third broken nose and I was terrified of a botched nose job. After reading awesome reviews of Dr. Stong and his team, I decided he was the doctor for the job. Pre-surgery he did everything that he could to make sure I was comfortable with the procedure and to make sure all of my questions were answered. I live two hours away from his office and his office staff has been very extremely accommodating to make sure that I get appointment times that will work with my schedule. The surgery went very smoothly, as he reset the bones that were previously broken and basically reconstructed my very deviated septum. He personally followed up with me the day after the surgery to make sure I was doing okay, which I believe speaks volumes for the type of person he is. Two months later, I am so very happy with my nose. I had not been able to breathe properly for years and I feel like a whole new person! I went today to get non-surgical rhinoplasty. Dr. stong did a great job. I also had a consultation about a surgical rhinoplasty, he showed me how it would look like the before and after and I plan on getting it done by him when the juvederm in my nose is gone completely. UPDATE- In less than 24 hours I received an email from Dr. Stong threatening to sue me if I don't remove this review.. If I could give zero stars I would. WORST DOCTOR EVER! He was an hour late to my surgery. My gut told me to leave but I didn't follow my gut....I really wish I had. I had upper/lower lids with "fat transposition", deep plane face lift and neck lift. I was told the fat transposition would move the fat pad back to their "youthful" position. Well, they were moved to the top of my cheekbones close to my nose which made my nose look huge. One would think that the "youthful position would be in your eye troughs. The fat removal hollowed out my tear troughs. Regarding my face lift, the scars are in front of my hairline and bunched up and very visible. Dr Stong did botox on my forehead one month after surgery and one of my eyebrows was a half an inch higher than the other. He said he couldn't do anything. I flew down to Ft. Lauderdale and saw my friends aesthetician and she did one small shot and fixed it. My surgery lasted an hour and a half longer than estimated and when I woke up from surgery Dr. Stong was no where to be found to let me know how surgery went. I may be wrong but I would think that after 7 hours of surgery, your doctor would be there when you wake up to let you know how it went?? At my first office visit when I asked why one side of my face looked completely different and if there was more bleeding on that side his response was "I don't know". I said "you were there, weren't you??". Every question I asked received a condescending answer that "its normal and will get better" At one appointment that was scheduled to remove stitches I waited an hour and 15 min before he came in and he didn't even apologize for the wait. I started bringing a friend with me to help try to get answers because I couldn't get any. I have severe dry eye syndrome/chemosis from surgery and I went my third ophthamologist appointment today as I've had to use steriod drops for the past three weeks and every time I try to stop them my eyelids swell up lid grapes. The doctor today said I need surgery to correct this asap. I have gone to another plastic surgeon to look at everything else and he said I have legitimate concerns that will need to be fixed but I will need to wait another 3 months which will be 6 months post op. The bands in my neck look worse than pre-surgery. Please, please do better research than I did and keep in mind that there are reputation management companies that will help remove bad reviews like this one. Make sure you see multiple before and after photos and go to someone who has done hundreds of procedures. I feel like I was experimented on. I can honestly say there is not one thing on my face/neck that looks better than pre surgery and I spent over $20,000. read more
