I was referred by 2 friends that had their breast augmentation done by Dr. Colgrove. Both of their breast augmentation looked nice so I thought I'd give him a try. I've been wanting to get a breast lift and augmentation done for a long time. Finally decided to have it done since I'm getting married. Came in for a consultation everything was great. I told the nurse that I'm allergic to tapes/adhesive so we did a tape test. The tape she gave me to test for a week was great no reaction. I told Dr. Colgrove my goal was to have my breast symmetric, have more of an upper pole, more volume and cleavage. I also brought in my goal picture. One of my breast is larger than the other, so we decided to go with an anchor lift and reduction on the side that was larger. The other breast I had a lollipop lift to position the nipple and to make both nipples a little bit smaller. I understand that they will not be twins. I just need them to look even and lifted with cleavage. I also paid to have the mesh(internal bra) put in so they would not bottom out or sag later on. I chose to go with 380cc Motiva round. He did 380cc on both side. Fast forward to surgery day. My surgery was on July 10th 2025. Everything was fine during surgery. When I came home I noticed that they had used a different tape on me, and not the one that we tested on my skin. Had an appointment to come back for post op the next day. The nurse removed the tape to change it and noticed that I had blisters and hives all over my breast. The Dr. did not come in the room to look at it or let me know what he did during surgery post op. He stood at the door and looked in and say come back in a few days and prescribed me steroids. I also told him I'm having pain in my armpit where he did the lift he said maybe because of the way my arm was positioned during surgery. So I didn't think anything of it since he's the Dr. and he probably knows best. Couple days later I came in he told me to stop the steroid and just use aquaphor and took off all the tapes. I think he finally realized that it was a tape allergy and not my body rejecting the implant. I'm not sure why they did the tape test on me and use a different tape during surgery. Obviously, they didn't put it in my chart or communicate with each other about it. So beware if you have a tape allergies. I'm almost 3 months post op and my skin is just now finally healing from the tape reaction. I noticed that the implant on my right breast where I had a lift and reduction kept moving into my armpit and slides up when I lay down and to the side. I addressed my concerns to him. I told him I think my pocket is too big so it's causing my implant to move around. He told me no it's because I'm dominant on my right hand so I need to continue to wear my surgical bra and no lifting or exercising. Did exactly what he told me to do. Came back a few weeks later reminded him again that my breast implant is still moving around and is very uncomfortable because I constantly would have to keep pushing it in, which is not right. He looked at it and said it still needs to drop and told me to stretch them and that to come back in a few weeks and left the room. I told the nurse I'm not sure why it's moving like that and she told me the pocket might be too big and asked me if I got the mesh. I said yes I did and I'm not sure why it's doing this if there's a mesh in there that's supposed to hold everything together. She told me to just remind him again when I come in a month and she told me that he said to keep doing my stretches. A month went by, did my stretches like he told me to do. Came in today reminded him again about the implant moving around and he said implants are supposed to move around and blamed it on me being right hand dominant again. He told me to not stretch on my right side and just do the left side. I said to him you told me to stretch both side the last time I was here and he said because it was tight the last time. Mind you, my right breast pocket was never tight! I'm not sure why my concerns were not charted and that he needed to be reminded every time. Everyone I know that got their breast aug done are right handed and they never had this issue. All he told me was we can't do anything now. I would have to wait until everything heals. Besides the breast pocket being too big, One breast is still bigger than the other side so it's pulling down. One nipple is larger than the other one and no cleavage because they are uneven and going to the side. Least to say, I always leave his office feeling disappointed because my concerns were just brushed off and never addressed. read more

I have gone to Dr. Colgrove twice now. He is very professional and skilled beyond the imagination. I had my initial breast augmentation done in Feb 2015 and was happy with the results. Due to a very bad car accident in 2018, I noticed some changes had taken place and was in a great deal of pain all the time. I had another consult and decided to have them redone for a better result. I am now one year post reconstruction of breast augmentation and am very happy that I did. I even drove from PA to Georgia so Dr. Colgrove was the one to redo them. I would not go to anyone else. I've been to Vinings Surgery Center both for cosmetic surgery with Dr. Colgrove and for lip injections with Jennifer and have had a positive experience from start to finish. I was nervous going in (my first time with both) but they made me feel comfortable, it was very judgement-free and they helped me feel confident in my own decisions, while answering any questions I needed answered. Wait time was always very quick too!! I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting area (possibly the shortest wait time of any doctor's office!) I would say the only downside is the appointment availability. I had difficulty at first scheduling appointments because they only do consultations on Mondays and Wednesdays, which can be difficult if you work during the week. The RN had given me some attitude when I had to reschedule my appt due to work conflicts instead of being understanding. Otherwise, the office is clean, everyone is super knowledgeable, non-judgmental, pricing is very reasonable (I had looked into several other places in the Atlanta area too for comparison) and service is quick. I went to Dr. Colgrove for my mastopexy with BA after living my whole life with self confidence issues stemming from my breasts not looking like I wanted them to or how a person my age's breasts should look. Dr. Colgrove did a great job and is still working with me on getting the scars to where they should be. He is always calm and professional and answers all my questions. His staff is also very kind and makes me feel comfortable. His nurse Robin is the sweetest lady ever and made me feel taken care of before and after my surgery. I went to Dr. Colgrove for a breast lift. The entire staff is so friendly, Robin, one of the nurses, always remembered little things about me and overall was a very comfortable experience. Also, I have never felt so confident and happy with myself and my breasts. During my consultation (which was free) I learned that the photos online are all many years old. There are updated photos in office and by seeing my own results I cried tears of joy haha. The stitching is spectacular and the healing process was completely expected since we went over all possibilities in pre-op. I called this company just for general information about a breast lift. They talked me into coming in for a consultation which was free. I thought to myself this is great! So I'm in the process of getting in shape and I wanted to set an appointment for March 2022 for a breast lift after my weight loss was completed. So I come in for my consultation I was weighed and I had my blood pressure taken. The coordinator who took my blood pressure was decent far as personality wise. After all of that was completed she took me into I guess you what you call a doctors room she came back in and let me know that I was too overweight for the surgery. There were no questions about what are you looking to do what are your goals or anything like that. It was you don't fit our profile so we don't need you or your money. Now it was not the fact that I'm overweight that bother me about what she said. It was the way I was treated. After her relay that information to me I ask to speak with the doctor because I did drive all this way to get a consultation. So the doctor came in rolling his eyes as if I was a waste of time in a bother. I told him what I was looking for and what my goals were and he continue to tell me that I could not get the surgery this year. Which I understood I couldn't get the surgery this year. He was very rude and disregard everything I said. Wasn't willing to work with me and rolled his eyes continuously as he was speaking. And this is how I knew that they were in the wrong about how I was treated. When I was leaving because I decided just to walk out, the coordinator said I'm so sorry. She was apologizing because of the way I was treated which I was treated completely unfairly. I understand that you have to be a certain Weight before you go under the knife. And I've also worked with other doctors before but this doctor was completely not willing to help me or even listen to my concerns. I would not recommend this establishment at all. Especially if you are a BLACK person. I don't wanna call him a racist but it felt like I had some prejudice against me whether it was my weight or my complexion or a combination of both! They legitimately had me drive out there and waste my time and didn't want to help me have a understanding of how to reach goal. It's about the way I was treated! I have had surgery with Dr. Colgrove on three occasions. I want to be fair and honest and say my breasts did not look good going in, I'd had numerous procedures done on them prior to going to Dr. Colgrove. I was hoping to get improved symmetry, scar revision and an overall improved breast shape. My first surgery was a mastopexy and implants. The implants in my opinion were too large and my scarring was pretty significant. I went back and had smaller implants put in and some scar revision done. The third surgery focused on symmetry of my breast and creating a better inframammary fold. Yes, I know a lot of surgery, but I want to point out that Dr Colgrove did not give up on me and finding a place where I would be happy with the outcome. I am still going for some scar management, but overall I am pleased with all of the effort he has put forth to get me breasts that are significantly improved over what I went in there with. His staff is amazing and he listens and allows you to bring pictures in to help him understand what you're hoping to achieve. I will not have another breast surgery because at this point I do believe it is good as it will be but again considering where he started and where we ended up I think he's a pretty amazing doctor. I had breast reduction surgery here and would not go back for future procedures because I can afford someone better now. He was the least expensive surgeon, so that is why I went with him. I had two big problems: my breasts did not look even afterwards and the after care was awful. The waits in his office were over two hours for him to look at me for 30 seconds. You do not feel like doing that especially after surgery. When I spoke with him about the way my breasts looked there was not much he could say because I was not willing to go through the surgery again to correct it. read more

This is not my first 5 star review for Dr. Robert Colgrove and his entire staff at Vinings Surgery Center. I can't rave enough about the exceptional care I received with regard to my tummy tuck procedure about a year ago. As an older woman, age 66 at the time of the surgery, I questioned whether or not I should even consider having this type of surgery. I was well within my weight range, and had no major health issues. But, what I did have was a good amount of fat and loose skin around my midsection, causing it to protrude in a manner that was disproportionate to my slender body type. During the initial consultation, Dr.Colgrove listened to my concerns and the result that I was hoping to achieve. After obtaining the required medical clearance he assured me that it was safe to have the surgery. I couldn't be more pleased with the final results. The aftercare exceeded my expectations, and far exceeded the follow up care I was provided after a previous major cosmetic procedure performed by another reputable surgeon, with less than satisfactory results. I regret that I did not consult with Dr. Colgrove prior to having my previous procedure. I have reason to believe that I may have had a better result. Won't make that mistake again. read more

I'll begin by sharing that I've never had a surgical procedure, so an optional one (cosmetic) was a huge personal challenge for me. The staff at Vinings Surgery Center has superior medical knowledge (very important to me) and they are artistic in their work (the main reason I was there). I was shocked at how easy my procedure was. Using their talent and expertise along with their new Artas Robot (I had hair transplant/restoration) proved to be easy and virtually painless. In fact, the most difficult part was the numbing of my scalp. I began writing this review less than 24 hours after my procedure and feeling just fine, and now at 48 hours there continues to be no discomfort (just a slight sensation reminding me something was done up there).
