Started out great, but they're quickly going downhill for me. I like to give as much information to…read morefellow yelpers looking for reviews in as simple a format as possible, so here are my bullet points. PROS: - They meet my scheduling needs with business hours of 6:00am to 6:30pm Monday theough Friday. - They do pick up and drop off for my school age child, so I only need to make one drop off and pick up trip for both of my kids. - The teachers are nice and my kids love them all. CONS: - Their policy states that if your kid goes to school with them 3 or more days, you have to pay for the full weeks tuition... EVEN IF THEY CLOSED THE SCHOOL DOWN. They seem to have only ever been notified of a positive COVID case exposure at their school on a Wednesday, forcing them to have 4 day weekends, but families still required to pay for a full week. This includes staff and child exposures. Never have they had a report of a case on a Monday/Tuesday, where families could pay only for those days. Seems a little "coincidental" to me. - When my child was quarantined for 2 weeks because of an exposure she had at THEIR FACILITY, I still had to pay half price tuition for each week she was quarantined. - Recently, Texas had a terrible winter storm that caused many businesses and all schools to be closed down. Many of the families who have children at their facility have been dealing with no water, no power, busted pipes, spoiled food and other added expenses in their homes, while also being unable to work. Little Tyke was closed down the entire week as well, but still have the audacity to say they will be "discounting" the tuition for families that week by only charging us half rate. I know of at least 3 families in the past month alone, that have left their centers already or are in the process of looking for other daycare facilities due to these very reasons. When questioned about why we are being required to pay for services not rendered, their response was that they too had broken pipes from the storm and need to continue paying their staff. I find it incredibly upsetting that as a business whose food is paid for by the government and has business insurance to cover their broken pipes, would compare their situation to that of the families. On top of that, it is their choice to pay their staff even when they did not work, but I do not believe it is rational or ethical to charge our families for services not rendered and expect us to pay, no questions asked. Again, all of this is happening while in the midst of a pandemic AND a natural disaster. Shameful.

I love the Weatherford location. The director, Lisa, is always there to help with issues and…read moreconcerns. I can tell she loves her job and loves the kids even more. Best Daycare in my books

I would NOT recommend anyone bring or put a child in this facility. The children are NOT taught to…read moredo anything expect play and how to bully or be bullied. I've tried to get paperwork that is needed and the office staff continues to put me off stating it will take 45 days. It's been months and still nothing. They either are not familiar with the laws or chose not to abide by them. My child's other parent has tried to pick up my child and also get needed paperwork showing court documents and still; they do not abide by the law. This is nothing more than a glorified baby sitting agency that does nothing to help the children...or prepare them for school. They just don't care...cell phones are a high priority for staff...not children.

My experience working with Head Start like a teacher in Decatur was like a nightmare. Staff working…read moreare mediocre people without academic education, the DIRECTOR yells at his employees, has insubordinate action, is incompetent, no team work, has no control in the center, no professional ethics, the 15-minute break; under 10 minutes for some employees while other employees grip 30 minutes. There were times that neither break to go to the bathroom was given to us, they loved gossip, when the kids left at 1:30 you'd have to mop, wash bathrooms, sweep, vacuum and clean all while the TA is out buying food outside the center. Favorite at 1:30 pm employees leave their rooms for office DIRECTOR playing with cell phones, computers, buy food, watch videos on YouTube, to gossip and the employee does not participate is bad and bad behavior, she likes to speak ill of their employees with other employees, problems among employees do not resolve, they like to feel sorry for their favorite employees and when work is prohibits talking on cellphones lets them use it, is racist, thinks he knows more than anyone because he has many years teaching but has no university. For the Director and staff working at headquarters reported that children come to play and educating them is not their priority. The teacher has to make 2 home visits in the year and then you use your car does not get paid millage, 77 hours are worked in two weeks and not get paid overtime, either get continuing education or training after work because they have no money. I think this is not a workplace for a professional and experienced person. The Head Start of Counties belonging to Weatherford, Tx is depressing, incompetent, uneducated, mediocre staff and the worst place in Texas to work.
