The selection is abundantly noticeable! Fresh and nicely packaged and well marked by price for easy choosing! Some vegetables are reasonable in price while others are much higher! It's best to compare and shop but if you choose to shop here always be prepared to spend more on some products! This place has everything you desire from fresh fruits and vegetables to prepared foods and a bakery that will make you salivate! Go up and down the aisle and you will see so many choices in Noodles and condiments and a plethora of frozen seafoods and more! The fresh meats and chickens can be pricey and the fresh fish on ice displays for your choosing! You can actually spend hours and find unusual food items! Then the sweet area with cookies and cakes and many many snacks to satisfy any craving! The parking lot is always full and I find very little employees around except at their areas! It's a very nice place but not as friendly staff. They pride themselves to check you out fast to help the next sometimes at 5 items of less they don't bag your items. So be prepared to bring your bag! Lots of foot traffic and lots of movement of customers! I noticed that it was all Asian Shoppers and I was the only Caucasian there at least for today! This store is HUGE, I've found everything that I could possibly need here to cook Chinese dishes. I also ordered food from the "Kitchen" section; I tried the rice plate with Roast Duck, Pork Belly and Soy Sauce Chicken, it was okay and fairly priced. The bathrooms on the other hand were pretty disgusting, and parking could be a bit of a pain in the ass. The staff were friendly, so that's always a plus. I wish that this market was in Boston, but it was definitely worth the 30min drive! read more

Been coming here frequently lately. By far this is the most comprehensive asian store in Quincy area. The pork and chive buns from their bakery is definitely a must. Their rice plate with combination BBQ meats is also bang for the bucks!! The seafood and produce are fresh, they even have jackfruits here. read more

This has to be one of my favorite marketplaces in Massachusetts. This is an amazing! Asian Market place not just amazing, but they have a lot of fresh foods that we all need. I loved coming back to this marketplace when I was a kid and even right now. My Family and I are from Nepal and we come here often to get fresh vegetables, fruits, and pork. I can't believe this place is still here in 2025, while it's 54 years old now, the service in now days are great so far. The ambiance of this place is so far so good. Kam Man has been around for a decades now and is a great Chinese market to go to. They have a lot of snacks and stuff that many other supermarkets don't offer. Along with a great selection for groceries, they have hot food (by the lb), a bakery, bbq meats (where you can get char siu, roasted pork, roasted chicken, duck, octopus, etc by the lb), and stores inside that sell other food, clothes, knick knacks, & even furniture. Ba Le is also located inside Kam Man & offers banh mi & a rather new XLB soup dumpling spot, where a boba shop, Lolipop, once was, by the check out area. If I'm hungry, I'll grab a hot meal right quick. Maybe some duck over rice. I always grab some lucky bamboo, just because. They have the exotic candies. Bomb. The service is ok. Been going here for years and they've updated the space as the years go on. I never really shop at the mini stores inside, but i do go for Ba Le banh mi viet subs, and kam man groceries. Now i haven't had issues with my groceries not being fresh, but we are also pretty anal about checking them and choosing the produce that looks fresh and clean. The ones that don't we toss back. Occasionally we'll go for some seafood or meats but i usually go across the street to lucky fortune for that. For the other quick grabs Asian snacks or drinks for the fridge we do a quick run thru, grab what we need and head out. The parking is easy to find but usually busy. People who park here is a different story, haha i tend to park further to the ends or back cause I've seen the parking lot accidents and poor parking skills sigh. This place is massive but disorganized. We dove an hour via the dreadful I-93 from Boston to get there. Most products are from China, which we're not familiar with the brands. One of my favorite shopping experiences in Massachusetts hands down. I tell people imagine going to a grocery store the size of Home Depot. The Bahn Mi the elderly man makes when you walk in are delicious, there are other kiosks with prepared foods, even whole ducks. The array of fresh fruits and vegetables amazing. The meat department is stellar, I always get a kick of all the fish tanks, the fish is fresh! A great variety of shell fish too. Every aisle is filled with amazing products. If a product comes from any Asian Country it's here. The freezer section has dumplings, boa buns, ice cream fruits pastries you name it is here. Potato Chips and snacks - flavors I have never seen. Chocolates and candy. There are kiosks with vendors (cell phones, supplements, insurance and other services) . Rice as far as the eye can see. Cooking vessels, tableware, anything that you need to cook with. Liquor store, furniture, health and beauty items. Literally they have everything! Spices are cheaper than anywhere else. I've been a patron to this market for well over 10 years, I have always raved about every aspect, and have always considered it the gold standard for world markets until today. Recently, I moved to another state and was feeling a bit homesick. I missed the almost endless isles of exotic loveliness, stacks of fresh produce, and intoxicating scent of spices that I found comfort with each visit to this market. Today I took the time today to drive 100 miles and was excited to return to the Kam Man, taking a friend along for the ride in hopes that she would find this market to be a treasure trove of wonder as I did. As we walked towards the end of the produce section there was an unfortunate and horrific odor that wasn't the hallmark of freshness that I have associated with this market. At first I figured that if I walked further down into the isles of the store the smell would dissipate, but it didn't. The entire store wreaked of something that had gone bad, and had rotted leaving an acrid and oily scent of death in the air that lingered. Before anybody jumps to the conclusion, it WASN'T the durian. When I passed the durian near the entrance it smelled sweet and fresh, it's a familiar and welcoming smell for me. I was disappointed and embarrassed to bring a friend with me to this market that has done no wrong in the past. Please take care of this smell. Nobody wants to smell decay and rot while shopping for food. We left much sooner than I had anticipated as a result of this foul odor and went next door to Good Fortune. read more

Kam Man has labeled most all their fresh produce in Chinese and now English, which is an enormous help. The bakery's pork vegetable buns were still warm when I collected them. The bunch of long-stemmed Chinese spinach was fresh, nutritious-looking and a bargain. The 15-pound bag of CA white medium grain rice, which I specifically came for, was recently dated and a fair price. Though few employees could speak English, I left very satisfied with my experience and purchases. read more

The quality of the roast meat is not up to par compared to the Hong Kong Eatery in Chinatown. The chef is clearly unprofessional and cannot cut the meat properly. Additionally, the cashier mischarged for the items. I bought 1.4 lbs of roast pork and BBQ pork each, but the weights felt different, even though the price tags stated the weights were the same. PU! Spoiler alert, it smells like wet farts in here folks, I'm sorry to say. While Kam Man has a lot to offer visually, with a really nice view from the parking lot (see my photo for reference) the shop itself leaves a lot to be desired. I'm no stranger to marketplaces people, I've done many things in my many years. These old and wrinkly fingers aren't just for typing yelp reviews, they also enjoy finding tasty Asian delights! Me and my cousin Dupree were enjoying our rainy Sunday when we decided to give this local jamboree a try. We walked through the automatic doors and were immediately assaulted with a horrendous and unforgiving stench that nearly made my COPD flare up. Warning to those with respiratory problems! Cousin Dupree is younger than me and simply laughed at me as I wheezed and gasped for air. That sick bastard! I will say though, after a while you will get used to the stench. The horrid, abhorrent, heinous, fecal, hair-raising stench. God. I am shuddering just thinking about it. My old and haggard ass almost couldn't handle it. For those wondering, it is almost a cross between wet garbage and egg salad farts, with a hint of pickled pumpkins for an extra measure. I walked around the establishment with cousin Dupree for a good while, caressing the fruits and examining the many sea critters they had on display. The fish section was treacherous however, as there was a tremendous amount of water all over the place. I half expected to see a sardine or two gleefully swimming across the linoleum floor. What's up with that? How does half the Baltic Sea's amount of water end up all over the floor. I can think of only one reason: that Poseidon himself cursed Kam Man into a watery torture. Not cool Poseidon, not cool. Anyway me and Dupree were walking when we saw a critter that scared the bajeebus out of me. "Eek!" Dupree screeched as he pointed to a large tank which held a large monster within it. It was a large crab, the largest I had ever seen. He looked very lonely and sad, a bit like myself. I looked him in the beady little crab eyes and thought to myself, "Wendell, you ought to take this little feller home with you!" And so I did. I thought of a good name for him too--Rex. I don't have a tank, so Rex sleeps on my couch. I bought a 10lb bag of sand and dumped it into one the corners of my studio apartment so that he could feel more at home. They don't need a lot of water, right? Every so often I will dump a Poland springs water bottle over him but he likes to try and grab my toes with his claws and he gets awfully close sometimes. Come to think of it, Rex is kind of a big asshole. I don't think Kam Man has a return policy on massive crabs, do they? Rex has taken over my apartment. He claims the couch and when I try to sit with him he haunts his claws like a madman and I'm forced to watch the television in the corner like a chump. Worst of all? Rex only likes to watch public access television. So while jeopardy was on at 7:30, I was forced to watch the last weeks school board meeting in Peabody. Nothing is worse than local politics I tell you. I might cook Rex one of these days. Secretly I've been researching crab cake recipes and I found one that seems pretty simple. If Kam Man gave me anything, it was a funny smell, a good laugh with my cousin Dupree, and a rapacious crustacean that is now my roommate. Thanks Kam Man. read more

Spent two and a half hours here just looking around and shopping. When I was in college I used to go to its location in NYC and I have not been to a Kam Man in over 2 decades . I just happen to see it while going to Banh Mi Ba Le location in Quincy. This Asian supermarket is my dream place to shop. It has everything and so many selection and produce is so fresh. Prices are great as well. I went down the soya sauce aisle , I got a headache. My sensors were overwhelmed. Too much input. We are talking about 3/4 of this long aisle just in soya sauce! Wow is right. The seafood and BBQ sections absolutely outstanding! There are tables and chairs where you can purchase food and eat right there. I bought 1/2 BBQ Peking Duck, fried prawns and plenty of produce and all yummy and fresh. Will include pictures later. I also bought a electric stainless steel to cook ramen in so much better than the usual plastic hot pot. Something that I can only find at a big Asian supermarket as this. This all located with plenty of parking places and never having to worry about feeding the meter or finding a parking garage. This Kam Man Quincy location is located in a mall with other restaurant / dollar store etc. Next time I will try the pho restaurant nearby. No need to go into Boston Chinatown or Dorchester anymore. This is my to go Asian Supermarket and the best part is you do not have to go through any parking headache. Can't wait until I go there again ! Updating our earlier review. We still visit Kam Man at least monthly, even during COVID restrictions. Still top quality products, bakery really great. Al the typical items. Barbecue and hot food counters are also good. Meats are nicely flavored and well cooked. Hot table has some great choices, most typically Cantonese and less Chinese American fare. Vegetables and fruits are pretty fresh and reasonably priced. We generally don't buy meat here, but do buy fish. Fish market good but you need to know what is fresh as fish mongers essentially just process what you select or point at. Rest of market - dry, frozen and canned goods have quite a variety. Place is clean, a little more expensive than others, but you get everything in one store. Be aware place is busy, parking lot is chaos. read more

The place to grab buns, roast pork, assorted herbs and spices, potpourri of random stuff that you would find on Canal St. in NY, and all the possible Asian groceries that you can push in three shopping carts. The adventure technically starts once you get to the parking lot as you will be circling the lot a few times before you actually get a parking spot. The variety of Asian groceries here is unsurpassed - I dare say it is superior to every Asian supermarket I have been to in the Greater Boston Area. Using the senses to figure out what certain products are (don't read anything but English) is a lot of fun and at times I find a fantastic new product. One of the must stop places in the store is the bakery. They have these pork filled buns that are AMAZING!!!. I usually order ahead and grab 20 plus. Fat man porn!! The seafood section is also a great stop for me. Where else are you going to find a live king crab in a tank? That's just scraping the surface of selection. This place is an experience. The closest thing to actually going shopping in China. Just navigating the parking lot on a weekend is ridiculous. Good luck! Once inside you walk through a variety of stalls before you enter the actual market. You will see people lined up at the bakery section and the tea and nuts and bark section. I skipped these lines and first went to the vegetable area where you can buy a variety of known and unknown produce. So many different greens to choose from! Meat and fish are against the back wall and I bypassed these to wander up and down the aisles. One aisle devoted entirely to dried mushrooms. Another aisle devoted entirely to tea. This place is enormous. I had a great time in the Frozen bun section. Excellent choices for vegans and vegetarians. I found vegetable glutinous rice tamales which is so exciting. There's an entire section of the store devoted just to Rice. There's a houseware section, a beauty section, even wine and alcohol. I might have been the only white person in the store, but who cares, $70 later, I brought home a feast. To satisfy my hunger from all the excitement I stopped at one of the little stalls on my way out and bought some delicious nim chow for immediate consumption. I'm definitely going back! read more

Man I love going to Kam Man but this review is specifically for the bbq meat section. Last two times I have went, the char siu is just so dry. The most recent time I asked for 1 pound of char siu and 1/2 pound of roast pork. I got charged for almost 2 pounds of char siu. When I got home, I found out that he gave me more char siu than I had asked for which is why I ended up paying 2 pounds rather than 1.5 pounds. Really not worth it when the char siu is so dry. read more

A 3.5 stars rating for an authentic Chinese place always means it's worthy. Solid grocery store with a ton of Chinese focused products (although there are some Korean, Vietnamese, and Filipino products too). No, it's not the cleanest or most organized. No, no one will be courteous or welcoming - at best you'll get lukewarm service. Their BBQ and food counter is open by 8am on the weekends - even this early people are buying roast pork, roast duck, and char siu. They also have rice boxes if you don't want the meat a la carte. To order meat, you can tell them the amount (1 lb, half duck etc) or point to the actual pieces you want (this piece of pork). You can also ask for the meat not to be cut or cut very thinly. There is also a bakery, dumpling, and bahn mi place. Also if you only have a few items (5), you can check out at customer service by the entrance instead of waiting in the main line. Sure there's better bakeries, BBQ around but to have it all in one place in a super store can't be beat. I go to H Mart for little luxuries like fancy cup noodles or snacks, but I go to Kam Man for my essentials. read more

Ended up here while visiting my friend in Boston. We were on the hunt for crabs and a few other items for our girls dinner party that evening. They had a wide variety of seafood items for very inexpensive prices. We arrived an hour after opening so it was still pretty empty. Unfortunately, we waited at least 5 minutes before be tended to even though 2 employees were in the department not waiting on customers. We picked out about 8 rock crabs. I tried to find the other items but they were either unavailable or overpriced. I would definitely recommend this market for the wide variety of seafood and the good rates but not much else. read more

What does this place not have? As soon as you walk in there is a skin care counter on the right and there's a Bahn mi sandwich counter. There's a bubble tea shop and a few shops that sells Chinese good luck charms and banners to hang in your home. A cell phone shop and some clothing shops. Inside the main supermarket there's a tea counter which also has dried herbs and medicines. The fresh produce section is huge. Towards the end of the produce section there's a shelf with dried spices for a great price. Better than buying McCormick bottles for $4. So it's great if you use a lot of , say, oregano for tomato sauces. There's so much in here. A Korean section, Filipino, Viet, Thai, Chinese, Goya, fresh bakery, cooked meat market, seafood market, a raw meat counter, delicious hot and ready to eat take out counter. They have a great selection of teas, candies, alcohol, dried meats, housewares and toiletries. Want silky shiny envious hair that Asian girls flaunt? Buy the shampoos and conditioners here! Parking and lack of shopping carts are never a problem. Buying by the case will save you a bit and I don't think they mind if you swap out for other flavors/varieties (like, four 6 packs of Vita drinks make a case but you can have 4 different flavors. I do suggest that you put them in the cardboard case it comes in. ). I come here about 2-3 times a year and usually spend $500. Cases and cases of VitaSoy drinks, a few slabs of freshly cooked BBQ meats, tons and tons of raw meat (for the year), all the Asian veggies that can stay fresh for about a month, Japanese candies and always a stop at the Bahn Mi sandwich shop. Order the #2 (with or without jalapeños. Up to you). Don't ask what it is. Don't examine it too closely. I still have no idea what exactly it is. But the flavors are bliss. And the crusty bread will have ants thanking you every step of the way! It's $4 and I always buy at least 5 of them! read more

Went here to grab some stuff for a thai soup. Just my opinion, I feel the prices are not that great. A lot of vegetable were extremely over priced and a lot of stuff wrapped in a package. I could check the quality of the vegetables to see if any were rotten and I ended up taking a chance with okra and thai chili peppers. When I got home, almost all the okra was bad and 99% of the peppers had mold on them. I basically wasted my time seeing that I probably could get the other ingredients locally. read more

When you're the only full service Chinese grocery store you can get away with stale food, high prices, and potentially fraud practice. We moved to Massachusetts last year from the Bay Area. Could someone please call the health department? Prices have gone up steadily for the last few months. One time, I was charged twice for the grocery bill, over four hundred dollars each!
