Super fun and educational. Katie was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable, answering all our questions and letting us explore and try so many different types of chocolate from all stages of the chocolate harvesting process and different flavors. Even got to enjoy some chocolate tea! Definitely a must-do activity, especially if you like dark chocolate!

I went with a group to tour the orchard, learn about one of my favorite foods, and do some "malama 'aina." Chari and Max began the tour teaching us about their wind fire breaks (trees) as we approached an intricately carved set of doors from Bali depicting a woman who turned a man into a monkey. In the tour we learned so much about the entire seed-to-bar process, from propogation to harvesting to fermentation to manufacturing. They were such awesome guides. We sampled some varieties of cacao beans as well as ice cream beans along the way. After helping to weed their fruit tree area (in which there were so MANY mosquitoes!), we were treated to some samples of cacao syrup, cacao wine, and various chocolate bars . So delicious! They had a special offer of buy 6 get one free so my friend her 7 chocolate bars and then some! Very enjoyable experience. One I wouldn't mind repeating!

All the varieties that we tasted!

This was an amazing venue! Our guide was so knowledgeable, had bug spray ready for us and answered every question we had. We learned so much about Cacao and then the samples were never ending. It was fun to let the chocolate melt in your mouth and discover so many different flavors. We ended up buying 10 chocolate bars! ChatGPT recommended this tour and it was intimate and really worth it!

We have been on cacao tours across Hawaii and this one was by far the most fun, educational and enjoyable! Tasting at the end was our family loved it! Including my 9 yo son!

Wow! What a great activity to do on the North Shore! A bit off the beaten path, the drive up to the property is gorgeous, filled with wonderful views and beautiful peacocks. Katie welcomed me to the farm and gave me what ended up being a fabulous private tour. She answered every question I threw at her - she definitely knows her stuff! The tour was super informative and the farm is a peaceful place to be. The tasting was luxurious and super fun. Can't recommend enough!

Very cool experience. Learned a lot about the process of harvesting cocoa and making chocolate. Got to eat a lot of fun and interesting things like Ice Cream Beans, cocoa plants, cocoa juice, freshly dried coffee beans and of course, lots of chocolate. Max was one of our tour guides and his Masters of a Agriculture was abundantly on show every time he spoke. Chari was also very well informed, and gave us a great tour. Everyone in the group had interesting questions and I'm really glad we made the trip. The property was beautiful as well, so cool to see everything. Ended up buying a lot out chocolate on the way out too. Thanks guys for the great time.

This is a must see For foodies and chocolate lovers alike. Touring the Orchard, gives you insight into the Origins of the chocolate making process. Chari and Max are extremely knowledgeable and Answer any and all the questions you may have. You get to experience a cornucopia of different tastes and flavor profiles of chocolate. After this tour, you will learn to appreciate the labor of love that goes into making each candy bar. Definitely bring your taste buds on this experience.

Great tour and very informative! Really enjoyed hearing about the development of the farm and how Manoa Chocolate is expanding. The tour walk was mostly covered and we got to ask lots of questions about growing cacao. Ended with tasting lots of their chocolate.

Katy was a fun, informative and super chill tour guide!! She was so good at explaining all of the different aspects of cacao and the benefits of it. It's truly wonderful and I would definitely recommend this if you've never even been to a farm. It's worth taking the trip and being with everyone and it's great for family!

Watching our kids feed the goats was one of those simple moments they'll probably remember for a long time. It's also about as clean as you could reasonably expect for a working goat farm. Yes, it smells like goats, that comes with the territory. If you're expecting a sterile petting zoo, this isn't it. It's a real farm and I actually appreciated that. Where the experience lost me was the hospitality. Maybe we arrived too close to closing, but the staff felt completely disengaged. Nobody was particularly welcoming, nobody seemed excited to talk about the farm or its products and asking simple questions felt like an inconvenience. You drive all the way out here because you're interested in what they're building. A little warmth would go a long way. The other issue was the flies. Again, I understand this is a farm. Flies are part of the environment. But when they're landing around food while ice cream is being scooped, it starts to cross from "that's farm life" into something that feels unpleasant. It was hard not to notice and it definitely took away from the experience. The goat milk ice cream was good, not quite my preference over traditional dairy ice cream, but still worth trying if you're visiting. Feeding the goats was fun, the grounds are beautiful and it's a fantastic stop for families with toddlers. I just wish the customer experience matched the scenery. This place has everything it needs to be unforgettable. A little more hospitality and a little more attention around the food service area would make a huge difference. I'd still recommend visiting but come for the farm, the photos and the goats. Just keep your expectations for the service a little lower.

We allotted enough time to head up to the North Shore and it was easy to find this location thanks to the clear directions in email. I've wanted to learn more about the bees for a long time and what better way than to put on a get a private tour where you get to suit up and get a fab lesson from Katie and team on the ins and outs of the bees working hard at making honey. Our tour was about 2 hours long. We were in awe of how hard the beekeepers and the bees here work. We even got to see another bee robbing another bee on site! And saw how to get the beetles out of there! I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to get the right sized suit. And they are super nice about taking photos for you!!! The tour ended with a honey tasting and charcuterie board with mint infused iced water! Then we were off to the gift shop which had all the flavors available for tasting -- we loved the hot honey. This TOUR IS A MUST and it is so easy to schedule through their website as they have so much availability 6 days a week.
