If I could rate him and his practice 10 stars, I would. You could say that my father is a retired dentist and that Dr. Heisler treated him this well because of this. You could say that they went to the same dental school and therefore he was treated well because they had things to share. You could say he seemed honored to work on my dad because my dad retired at 87. But this would be only partially correct. While I sat there in the treatment room watching and listening, patients would stop and say a very cheerful hello to the doctor and he would ask how they were. They were genuinely pleased to see each other. I learned that while some had moved away, they continued to go to his practice. They were there to see the hygienist, but it was obvious that he sees them for their checkups and other treatments. His speciality is Prosthodontics, but does many other dental services.. To my father he was so kind, so respectful and gentle. There is no doubt that this describes Dr. Heisler's demeanor with everyone. My father had to go for several fittings for his new dentures. His old dentures had caused him problems for years and caused changes in the bone structure of his mouth. I actually think my father enjoyed going to him because normally he fusses over visits to professionals! But, Everyone, I mean EVERYONE that works in this practice is friendly, welcoming and helpful. I can't say enough about them. I don't know how Dr. Heisler found these treasures!! My father is happy so I am happy. Thank you, Dr. Heisler and staff, many times over!!

They are always running on time, and everyone is friendly and pleasant. Its a very clean, bright office; its small but its very well planned. The office is only 2 blocks from the train station, or if you drive they have 2 spots in their lot , or are only 1 block from the municipal parking lot. On his website, it says Dr Rubin is all about giving you a beautiful smile - well I don't know how he is at restorative, because he's so good at preventative. I've been going to him at least annually, usually bi-annually for 24 years (I'm in my 30's) and honestly, I have a great smile, and I believe Dr Rubin is a big part of that. Having a dentist that I not only trust, but that is pleasant, with a great staff means I don't mind going to the dentist, which means I end up getting great dental care. I've had 4 cavities in my life - each were caught very early, and therefore it really wasn't a terrible process to get them filled. I ending up cracking one (my own fault), getting an infection and needed a root canal. Again, it wasn't a terrible process because I had a great dentist, who took care of it quickly. For big jobs he refers me out - he sent me to a surgeon to have my wisdom teeth out. And when I had to have the root canal tooth redone after a decade, and decided to just get an implant, he referred me to a specialist (who was also really great!) Dr Rubin did pull my tooth himself, and he fit and had the new "tooth" made for me. Seriously - the worst part of the whole process - having the tooth pulled, the implant placed, the fittings, etc - was not being able to drink hot coffee for 3 days. That's how painless the procedures were: that's a good dentist! Cleanings and x-rays are like that too, quick, painless and easy.

My primary dentist referred me to Dr. Baharastani which was a great referral. They took my emergency call that same day and made a emergency appointment for that same afternoon. The office is organized and super clean. They follow all safety and health protocols. I felt at ease during the whole treatment. The bedside manner was great with funny jokes and banter which kept me at ease. The root canal was painless and very thorough. His skills and expertise were on point and my pain and toothache was gone. The molar was also kept in great shape for a crown. Dental insurance and payment was all seamless and explained. We had taken one of our children here years ago, under a previous insurance plan--no issues, covered by insurance as expected. The doctor was fine and competent, though I didn't think she was especially gentle or patient with such a young toddler at her first ever dental visit in a kids-only practice. Fast forward to now, new insurance plan, add another kid into the mix. I literally spoke with this office 3-4 times to check whether our new dental plan was accepted as in-network, what we could expect to pay for the visit, and to confirm date, time, location, etc. I spoke with two separate people from the practice. I confirmed with them that our plan WAS IN-NETWORK with this office, and that some or all of the basic visits would be covered under that accepted plan. So we get there day of--my oldest is extremely stressed out and scared about the visit, I fill out the basic paperwork, and literally AS WE ARE ABOUT TO WALK INTO THE EXAM ROOM we're told our plan is: Not accepted Not in-network with them Won't be covered at any percentage They then confidently ask if we'd like to just pay for the visits out of pocket, which would be nearly $300 combined. Why the hell would I have dental coverage for my family if I wanted to pay $300 every time they need an appointment? The front office then disputes whether I confirmed these details or spoke to them at all, suggesting I may have called the wrong number altogether. Then how could you possibly have the 2 scheduled appointments on your calendar for my kids??? Unreal. I will never go back to this practice with my family. It's a shame, because we previously liked their office location and my kids enjoyed their many toys and games. But unfortunately they're either so inept and poorly run they can't properly check whether a dental plan is accepted prior to you stepping foot with everyone into their practice, or they are just disingenuous and running a scheme to bring you in, then tell you you're out of network to try and force you to pay a ridiculous amount out of pocket for what should be a routine and 100% covered exam and cleaning.
