Vines and mustard in early March

This was such a treat. The tasting was so unique. We sipped the most decadent lingering wines. The views of the land were perfect. I have so much gratitude for my friends who brought me here. We were hosted by Justin. Super nice, down to earth guy who shared the history of the mountain and the owner. I was glad to learn everyone we met during our Sonoma trip had been vaccinated. Hand sanitizer was provided with the delicious snacks and our private group of 3 spread out on the open covered terrace.

I stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon around 3:30pm and was helped immediately. I just did a quick walk in, didn't have to make a reservation. Kamen was the only winery I could find in this area with a good selection of Cabernet Sauvignons. I only tried the one posted in the photo below. I consider myself to be a beginner when it comes to wine and this one was really good! It was not sour, it was dry and everything I look for in a cab. The workers are also super helpful and kind, they answered all questions I had. I hope I can come back next time when I have more time to taste everything!

In today's degree you would think that people would have a enlightened viewpoint. Race..... My group and I walked in *people of color * and immediately was asked to step outside ...... nobody greeted us yet we watched a group of people Walk in after us and was greeted with the upmost respect offered all the different flights. Unfortunately even the clientele in the establishment were ok with the treatment. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO SUCH ESTABLISHMENT. It was very disappointing being that we were also celebrating my birthday. Justin was the ungentelmen who was at our service.

Had a fun, educational, and memorable experience! We were so kindly guided through the flight understanding both the creative vision, direction, and execution to create what are 90+ and 4.5/5+ wines. LOVE that during the week it's easily possible to come in without an appointment and be taken care of right away. Thank you for the quality and the insight. Grenache, Syrah, Blend, and Cabs...100% serious wine here!

    Great people and service!!!

Love this place. Got to grab the ass of the proprietor. Mark David Kamen. The local crowd that frequents the tasting room was friendly and made this crazy single woman feel welcome! And the wine was fantastic!!

The friend that took us here mentioned how she likes that you never feel rushed. I see why people purchase wine club memberships now. As a Pendulum wine club member she gets wine pick ups, discounts, and unlimited tastings with three guests. The setting is beautiful! So many flowers. Nicely shaded picnic benches with umbrellas. They have a large fish pond and it's 25 cents for a cup of fish food to feed the turtles and koi. This is one of the most family friendly wineries I've seen. Many people bring their kids. They have corn holes too. Fancy and Pudding were the highlight! I reached out and felt like a Disney princess having one of them come to me for pets. The restrooms were very clean as well! It was fun browsing the store too. And of course the tasting and charcuterie board were a fantastic experience. I loved the cheeses and almonds they had. We had the option of deviating from the tasting menu. But everything we tasted was great! I think you can also bring your own snacks. It's a great winery experience. Nothing for praise for Cline Cellars. The day we went it looks like they were setting up a wedding later in the day. But that didn't negatively impact our experience at all.

We were were greeted by our personal wine staff who guided us through the wine tasting. He was pleasant, but overall seemed a bit apathic throughout the whole process. He was knowledgeable about the wine and the property. He guided us through the wine caves, which was lovely. I appreciated the personal attention, but it became a bit uncomfortable as the staff member sat with us between pourings. I would have liked the option to take our time drinking the wines, but I felt uncomfortable and slightly rushed as this person sat with us and did not always speak te whole time. We did arrive 30 minutes late due to the Tock app (reservation app) guiding us to the wrong location. We called Hamel to notify them and the person said they would wait for us, but I detected a bit of a tone. I also emailed Tock, which they responded quickly but basically said that they investigated it and it was basically an issue on Apple's side of things. No acknowledge of the inconvenience this had on me and my husband. We did receive a very tasty appetizer made by their world-renowned chef, but the wine fell short in my opinion. It seemed a bit watered down with little flavor overall. The wine is very expensive along with the wine tasting. Ultimately, I think you're paying for the view, experience and the cost of those new buildings.

My girls and I went for my best friend's birthday and we honestly had such a wonderful time. When you call and inquire they tell you that non-members can only book on weekdays, so my girls and I made a reservation on a Friday. You pay up front for the total amount of people, which also includes tax and service tip, so when you arrive on the day of your reservation, no payment whatsoever is needed! It was $85, and with tax and service fee it came out to $111 each. When my girls and I arrived, we were greeted by a host named, Justin. She was immensely warm and inviting, basically sunshine in a person, and made us feel so welcome and comfortable!! She poured us a welcome glass of rose, and my girls and I were able to walk around the property (which was truly stunning) with our glasses. When we were seated, we were served rosemary almonds, and our server came up and introduced the history of the venue, as well as the menu, and wine. The menu was set, and it was absolutely incredible. This was the first time I felt as though this experience included an actual MEAL rather than an array of small bites or a small charcuterie platter: 1. fried olives 2. tomatoes and cucumbers with whipped feta (MY FAVORITE) 3. Prosciutto, melon and basil 4. Braised butterbeans with SCRIBE olive oil 5. House-made flatbread (so delicious) The wine was amazing, of course. We received about 4 glasses of 3 oz pours, which was enough for us. The Chardonnay was definitely my favorite. If you're ever in the Sonoma area, I HIGHLY recommend making a reservation you honestly WILL NOT REGRET IT.

The food was all so fresh, with lots of great flavor but also feeling healthy- we particularly loved the arancini and the bread with oil. The wines were all tasty but honestly, not as memorable as the views/staff/food- I think this winery is definitely worth a visit for those elements alone. I think the light red was probably my favorite but would be back for more food honestly :)

For the Taste of Italy, you choose 4 wines from a list of white and reds. We chose the 2024 Arneis, 2024 Gilia, 2025 Dolcetto Nouveau, and 2021 Teroldego. Buying 2 bottles of wine waives 1 tasting fee. The Dolcetto Nouveau is a chilled red, which I've never had before. Wasn't particularly a fan, but interesting to try nonetheless. We reserved our tasting but they do walk-ins, which we noticed were seated at the bar. So if you'd like your own table, I would make a reservation to be sure. The day we went, we did an indoor tasting because it was so cold, they didn't do any outdoor tastings. The outdoor courtyard is covered, and they have a large event space with some wine barrels that I presume is for wedding receptions. You can walk out to the fountain and vineyards and take pictures. We went in December so of course the vines were bare, but overall still beautiful and peaceful. There is an olive oil tasting room and various products for purchase. Overall worth a visit for the scenery!
