I purchased a Casio Privia PX-S7000 digital piano in December 2024, and it remained mostly unused until earlier this year. I then recently discovered that several keys had stopped working. I contacted Casio, who provided a list of authorized service centers, including Kami Electronics. I emailed Kami, and he responded the same day with a few standard questions. Scheduling a drop-off appointment was quick and easy. A couple of days after dropping off the piano, I received an update from Kami that Casio had approved a warranty claim and had sent the necessary parts, which were expected to arrive in about a week. Seven days later, I received another update letting me know the piano was ready for pickup. To my surprise, when I picked it up, I was given a brand-new Casio Privia PX-S7000. I highly recommend Kami Electronics for warranty repairs. A turnaround time of less than two weeks was impressive, and it was clear Kami understands the warranty process with OEMs and worked efficiently with Casio to get everything handled promptly. After just one year, my $10,000 Sony home projector started making a loud grinding noise. I went through my extended warranty with Asurion, and it turned into a months-long headache. I had to package and ship the projector three separate times (not easy given the size and weight). Each time, after waiting about six weeks, they sent it back claiming they couldn't reproduce the issue. I repeatedly told their customer service team that the grinding noise only starts about 30 seconds after powering on--but it was clear no one actually waited long enough to hear it. Total waste of time. Asurion eventually offered a refund, but that didn't make sense since the same projector now costs significantly more--and I'd have to buy another expensive warranty plan. Instead, I was referred to Kamran, the owner of KAMI Electronics, by a local AV store--and that's when things finally turned around. Kamran diagnosed the issue within about a week and ordered the replacement part. It ended up being backordered, but instead of just waiting, he went out of his way to find another source and get it faster. He kept me informed throughout the process and ultimately returned the projector in perfect working condition. This would happen at random. If you are a musician, you may well understand the nightmare of no longer having access to a working instrument. This repair was a big job, but this gentleman (the owner) completed it in a short time period. My keyboard plays perfectly now. The owner/operator is very accessible. A+ customer service. We spoke on the phone a couple of times during the repair process. He always answered the phone and would leave me voicemails if I missed his call. Over the years I have had a service agreement with a third party provider to cover my personal electronics. No less than 3 different times have I made a claim to have my televisions repaired. Did they fix my TV? Yes. I wanted to support a local business by getting my TV fixed instead of just buying a new one. In hindsight, buying a new one may have been a lot easier. They charged $95 for a diagnostic which resulted in me having to lug the huge TV to the store anyway. I found that there was no point in having them come over except for them to just tell me "We have to take it to the shop". The whole time the technician was here, he was complaining about how I lived too far from the entrance and how it was "too difficult" to bring the TV over (you can tell he didn't want to do it). Honestly I could've done without the complaints. I even offered to help (which I fully did). The owner told me it would take 5-7 business days to fix. Except it took a month. Costed me basically as much as a new TV. Except I didn't get a new TV. So yes, my TV eventually got fixed. Was the whole experience extremely pleasant? Not really. read more

I called them after calling another service place close by. The other place gave me a much higher quote and were pretty rude so I was very grateful to find Kami. The service was completed properly and quicker then expected. The tech knew exactly what he was doing and he also gave me a couple of pointers on features that I wasn't even aware that my TV had! Bought a new 65" LG TV. However, the TV screen was tilted. LG people recommended to call Kami electronics inc at 8883 West Pico Blvd in Los Angeles, 90035. I communicated with Mike at 310-289-5264. He was very prompt in exchanging text messages. He sent a technician who came to my home and immediately diagnosed the problem with the platform table on which the TV had been placed. He made adjustments with filler material until the TV screen became vertical. I am very thankful for the service. It was free as well. read more

Incredible service. I brought my Pioneer DDJ-SX on a Thursday, telling the owner that i needed it fixed for a gig on Saturday. He called repeatedly over the next few days to have me authorize expenses as he ruled out causes of the problem and had to get to more expensive constituents. I approved the necessary repairs and he promptly had it all fixed by Friday evening. My gear works flawlessly now. I would have given my review five stars as I did after my first experience. Unfortunately I encountered several problems with my second service. I won't even go into details because the list is long and the bottom line is number one reason I will never go back to Kami is his bad attitude, horrendous customer service, the long mean looking face he wears; I found him kinda scary with those mean cold looking eyes. I should only give him one star, but I know he knows his work with excellence. My high end Onxyo receiver died. Lucky I bought an extended contract with the manufacturer and Kami Electronics did their warranty work. Kami responded quickly and even made the house call on Sunday!!! He had it fixed the same day. Appreciate his knowledge and diligence in fixing it. His persistence paid off and saved my unit a trip to his shop. Thanks Kami Update: Unit failed in less then two hours of use. Brought to Kami Electronics in Los Angeles a week ago and it is still awaiting approval for work to be done from Onxyo. I will leave the current rating to see if Kami Electronics can be my advocate to get this repaired quickly. Considering it was almost a week before initial contact was made for repair through "Tech Shield" warranty service, this process is rapidly approaching dissatisfaction levels.
