I was satisfied with my decision to stop by and was greeted by a couple of kindly local folk who were staffing the store. They were doing good business when I stopped by notifying me that there were orders of five subs and a pizza, for pick up, before they could get to my sandwich order. The two people working were both putting together sandwiches quickly and efficiently, while one would go to the checkout when a customer was ready. The sandwiches were of generous proportions, well made and tasted delicious. I ordered a large roast beef sub with lettuce, tomato, onions, cheddar, and spicy mustard. The meat was of good quality and the veggies were fresh and crisp! It was just what I needed after a long day of exertion, rambling about skiing the wilds! On top of a fine deli and what looked to be pretty good pizza they also have a little bit of everything as is want of classic Vermont country stores. They have a small deli (which I will try the next time I stop there). They also sell tobacco, lottery tickets, and kinds of items like those.
