Oven Baked Rueben on fresh baked rye bun featuring thin sliced corned beef brisket, swiss cheese, sauerkraut & 1000 island dressing

Exceptionally friendly, hometown shop. Offered fresh seafood and lots of sandwich and soup options. I love a good Rueben, and mine came out piping hot! Worth the wait.

Day trip to Middlebury with my pup. Stopped at Costello's Market for lunch. Ordered a fish taco which I devoured for lunch. Brought home the "Tutto Italiano" for dinner. Fabulous sandwich. Great service. Cute looking place.

Based on two visits this summer 21, I'm downgrading Costello's for their breads and low value. I ordered my usual, Pasquale's Favorite and was excited to find out that they baked sourdough baguettes! I searched fresh sourdough for a grilled cheese panini I wanted to make. Both the prosciutto sammie ROLL and the fresh hot sourdough baguette were disappointing. The contents of the sammie were awesome but the crust was too hard and the inside was too sticky and doughy. The sourdough baguette too looked beautiful and fresh. But when I took a bite it was deflating... same doughy heavy inside as the sammie roll. I didn't finish neither breads. I know I'm going on about the breads but i find that it's a critical component of great sandwiches. The prices are higher too which I'll gladly pay if it's worth the value. Pasquales's fave was just under $17 and the baguette was $6. Unfortunately I didn't find the worth this season. Costello's still above average and they have very friendly and prompt service! This season, I was disappointed on both visits. It's a shame, they are no longer crave worthy!

Great little deli I never expected to find! Customer service was great. The fresh seafood and homemade pasta and sauce looked AMAZING but I was mid road trip so that didn't happen :( I got a sub. It was good! A little dry, but tasty! My friends bbq sub had plenty of sauce though, so there is that. I'll be back one day for that pasta!

Portabella. Roll is perfect as is the rest of the sandwich.

I could eat the Bondi sandwich every day for the rest of my life and never get bored of it. It's stellar.

Super thinly sliced and a big let down. My Middlebury cut was great. For the price of the English cut I should have sent it back. They no longer have the great salad bar, soup station, cheese board or bread station. And Sunday brunch is gone also. The decor and service was great as before. We are not likely going to have it as a destination anymore. Very disappointing indeed. We have been customers for over 15 years and made the long trip because it was so good. Sorry for the poor review but we dine many places and we get much more from other establishments.

The restaurant has been around for more than half a century and has an eclectic decor with walls covered in black and white photos, hundred year old Hackercraft motorboat, biplane propellers, and wooden skis that likely were used to carve up Stowe and Killington. We started with a watermelon margarita and an extra dry Hendricks Gibson up. The drinks were perfectly chilled and hit the spot after a long day touring Fort Ticonderoga. We were told that their prime rib was the belle of the Fire & Ice ball so we made that our dinner. Roasted slowly overnight, the meat is perfectly medium rare inside with a delectable crust. Served with a range of sides and a generous dollop of freshly grated horseradish, we could not have been more pleased with the quality and quantity of the prime rib. They have an interesting dessert cart but, after 40 ounces of delicious prime rib, we gave the sweet course a miss. Fire & Ice is a compelling option for those spending time in Middlebury. We highly recommend this venue.

I walked into Hannaford expecting a quick, normal trip--grab a drink, pay, and leave. Nothing…read morecomplicated. But somehow, that simple plan turned into one of the most unnecessarily frustrating shopping experiences I've had in a while. It wasn't the store layout, or the lines, or even the prices overall--it was the self-checkout situation that managed to mess up something as small as 88 cents and still leave a bad impression. So there I was at the self-checkout, scanning my items like usual. Everything seemed fine at first. The machine did its little beeps, the total popped up, and I paid without thinking much of it. But afterward, I noticed the total didn't match what I expected. At first I thought maybe I misread a price or grabbed the wrong item--but nope. After actually checking the receipt, there it was: an extra 88 cents that didn't make any sense. Now, 88 cents isn't life-changing money, obviously. But that's not really the point. It's the fact that the system--this supposedly efficient, modern, "convenient" self-checkout robot--managed to get something so basic wrong. And there's no easy way to question it in the moment unless you want to call someone over and hold up the whole line. So you either let it go or deal with the awkward process of proving a machine messed up. What makes it worse is how avoidable it feels. That 88 cents could've gone toward something else--like literally another drink. That's the annoying part. It's not just "oh well, small mistake." It's the fact that I walked out knowing I paid for something I didn't actually get, and that small difference could've added up to something tangible, even if it's just a second bottle or can. And honestly, these self-checkout systems are supposed to make things smoother, but moments like this do the opposite. Instead of speeding things up, they shift all the responsibility onto the customer while still being prone to errors. If a cashier made that mistake, at least there's a clear person to talk to. When it's a machine, it just feels like you're arguing with a wall. It also makes you wonder how often this kind of thing happens. If I noticed 88 cents, how many people don't notice? Those tiny amounts can add up over time, and it starts to feel less like a one-time glitch and more like a system that isn't as reliable as it should be. Even if it's unintentional, it's still frustrating from a customer perspective. In the end, it's not about the money--it's about the experience. A quick stop turned into irritation over something that shouldn't have happened in the first place. And yeah, it sticks with you more than it should, because it's such an easy thing to get right. All I wanted was my drink, and instead I left thinking about how I could've had another one if the system had just worked properly. Ps im never shopping here again( I mean I will but you get the point)
