My boyfriend and I stayed here this past weekend (weekend after Thanksgiving). It was a little hard to find because our gps took us to the wrong address, but we eventually found the place. I go in to check-in and gave the manger, maybe even owner, my last name. He knew off the bat who I was. I thought that was a nice touch. He was super friendly and told us all the little secrets of what's the best to eat and to definitely take the shuttles back and forth at night, especially if you'd be drinking, because cops always sit near the lodge and will pull you over, especially if you have a Mass. license plate. The shuttle was $5 per person each way, but it was worth it. We get to our room and it was very cute! It felt like a bedroom that was out of a nice, little cottage. It was very clean, which is a big plus. The beds were actually comfortable. Usually, hotel beds are the worst. But these beds were not bad at all. The view of the mountains were kind of cool. There was no snow or anything, but it was nice to still be able to see Loon. The shower was probably the only thing I could complain about. The pressure of the water was way too high and it hurt... a lot. I don't know if you could've changed it and if you could've then I had no clue how to. All-in-all, I'd definitely love to stay here again. read more

The staff were so friendly when we got there. They let us know where everything was and that the owners were up the road if we needed anything. Room was very clean but outdated. Good if you just need a place to sleep. However, it was quite loud being above the sports bar as people were leaving drunk and yelling at midnight. As well as young boys below us making a lot of noise from 6pm to 12pm. It isn't to big of a place so I guess there's no way to avoid people who are loud. Probably would try another place if we were to return just due to the noise level at night. We had the king balcony room which was cool because you could see the ski lift and people going down the mountain. There were a lot of food options nearby as well as dessert places. read more

I found a Groupon for Kancamagus Lodgea few months ago and I paid $149.00 for two nights. The service at check in went smmothless. Very professional and very friendly. Usually when I travel to the Lincoln area I stay at other well known establishments and usually blow right by Kancamagus Lodge on the way to conway. When we checked into our room is was shocked. The room is very modern and has features I have not ever seen in other properties in the area ie:a playground right outside our door. A fire Pit with firewood and starter supplies a clean full size pool ( indoor ) and the best feature in our room there was an old school steam bath OMG I loved it. The rooms also had nice newer beds and a wide screen TV/Fridge/Microwave and free internet. I was very much impressed by the property in a whole. Basically, You will be happy with this property. I checked out this morning and the manager told me the room we had goes for $165 a night but with groupon we saved a fortune. We will be back either at the groupon rate or the usual rate. On a side note there is a great restraunt on the property and I highly recomend the fish and steak house across the street " Blackened Prime Rib " The best. read more

We were looking forward to going - our first time there. That being said, no restaurant - closed, no sports bar- closed- no housekeeping- still charged full price. Most uncomfortable bed we have slept in - - or tried to sleep in, pillows maybe 2 inches thick. Maybe 50 ft from the highway - that was nice. And the aforementioned non - amenities weren't spoken of until after they ran my card. Won't be fooled again. There are a lot BETTER places to stay for $150 a night. read more

This is a great place to stay for the money. Close to Loon for skiing and close to all amenities you will need. I have stayed here twice for ski trips to Loon, and for a one night stay, it has everything I need. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and updated with flat screen TV. The last time we went we brought our kids...and the Restaurant attached to the motel offers free meals for kids with a paid adult entree...Awesome! They also have a pool, which we did not get a chance to use, but it looks nice. The staff at the front desk is also very nice and helpful. We have enjoyed our trips here for the past 2 winters and plan to come back next year as well. read more

I should have known there were problems when I registered by phone. The women I talk to, some may think charming, but I found annoying because she could only repeat a memorized script, and this was a local gal. If I asked a specific question I could not get a specific answer; just a repeat of the script. However the motel looked good on Yelp so I went with it. Arriving, I found the same script oriented women that could not answer a simple question without repeating her whole script. It was like talking to a voice driven telephone menu. I got a coupon for their restaurant, but it was only good for dinner not breakfast. We ate somewhere else. Getting back, I found parking at our unit was getting slim because the motel parking is shared with the restaurant. Back in the room we found we could not connect to the wireless. Note, now days wireless is very important to me - never work. Also noted that there was NO heater in the bathroom and you can imagine that in late October, it was COLD. They also use commercial shower heads and their is nothing comfortable about taking a shower there. It wasn't until the next morning I found the USB charge stations - behind the refrigerator. Drinks I kept in the refrigerator were frozen by morning. The motel is very close to the highway and sidewalk and through the evening I listened to cars going by along with people cussing about their crummy jobs walking by. The next morning, though I was told numerous times repeatedly about what time their restaurant opens, it was in fact closed. Looking at the whole experience I would say this motel did the minimum to give the appearance of providing service, however having been there I would say that true customer care and satisfaction is not built into their service. Yelp's reviewers were right on with its recommendation of this place. This past weekend we stayed 2 night. Nothing fancy, we were not looking for fancy. It was clean, great location at the beginning of the Kancamagus Road and also very reasonable.. Its restaurant, Brittany's, and Pub, CJs, were also great. Both had the same menu and it was amazing to see how much volume they were doing from this menu. We were near the kitchen door of the Pub and we could not help but notice the traffic from the kitchen to the customers. read more

The hotel was great. For the price, it had everything that we needed. It was extremely clean, and it was in a great location! We've stayed here before, and we'll come back again to see Clark's Trading Post! But, one thing that we will skip next time is the restaurant attached to the hotel. Take caution with Brittany's Restaurant. The service and food are both awful. But, the hotel itself... great! Has a pool and playscape, so it great for families with kids! read more

Five stars I'd say. Quite good value and in my experience it's unusual to find a heated indoor swimming pool at a hotel such as this. Ashtrays are outside ground floor rooms so it's handy for smokers. We both made use of the swimming pool. Off road parking and one can help oneself to tea and coffee from the reception as we did not have those facilities in our particular room. Nice stroking the owners' dog. Room perfectly okay but not overly luxurious but it did have a bath and not just a shower. The only thing I wasn't keen on was the restaurant attached to the hotel. Bit of a strange aroma in the dining room and ridiculously huge portions that turned out to be waste. There is a good selection of leaflets on local attractions. Five stars because of the decent sized swimming pool. read more

My family and I just got back home from our weekend stay at the lodge, the people who run it are extremely nice and were very helpful. Upon check in she gave us a sheet of paper with all info we needed to know during our stay. There is an indoor heated pool, a little game room and a ping pong table which is a big plus!! The beds weren't that comfortable and I didn't sleep well, the people who stayed upstairs from us had a VERY squeaky bed lol. The parking is a bit atrocious. Cj's penalty box is a restaurant on the property which was very good, good drink selection and great service everyone was very good to us. The rooms are a little on the small side and we got the deluxe room. There's a soda/snack vending area and the snack machine looks like an antique and ripped me off for a dollar :-/ we didn't have a house keeper come in during our stay so I can't comment on that, I prefer not to have house keepers when I only stay for a weekend. All in all I had a good experience, I would come back again. read more

If you are looking for a very clean, no frills place to sleep while spending the day out and about, this place does the trick. The staff was very nice and the room was immaculate. The down side is the room is small and it is right on the main road, so there is noise from the traffic. The location is great if you want convenience but if you're hoping to get a feel of the great outdoors, you need to leave the hotel. read more

We ALWAYS stay here when we're in Lincoln. We get an awesome Groupon, where we get a super low rate with a $20 credit to the restaurants at the lodge. The staff was very friendly on the phone, and again in person when we arrived. Sammy the dog was also there, and (s)he is just the sweetest. Our room was cute and comfortable, and decorated with moose decor. We had everything that we needed, from Keurig coffee in the lobby (coffee packets in the room), maps, postcards, etc. The food at the restaurant was great, and the lodge was near everything that we wanted to see and do in NH (mostly hiking around the White Mountains). The only thing that wasn't great was the wifi, which we mostly wanted for Netflix, but the room had a flat screen and cable. We would recommend this place to anyone. My husband and I stayed here this past weekend, having gotten a Groupon for a two night stay. We were very pleased with everything about this small, family-run hotel. The owners and all staff were very friendly, the price was reasonable (and would be even without the Groupon deal), and our room was spotlessly clean. The location, right at the western end of the Kancamagus highway was perfect. We had both breakfast and a light dinner at the attached restaurants and found the food homemade and delicious and the prices reasonable. We stayed in one of the balcony rooms with a queen bed (very comfortable). The balcony was appointed with two chairs and a small table, and gave us views of Loon Mountain. Though the decor of the room was a bit dated, nothing got in the way of comfort or utility. The small fridge in the room was a nice touch, and the bathroom was perhaps the cleanest hotel bathroom I've ever seen. There was an indoor pool with a small game room containing video games for kids. The adjacent yard had a play set for children and our favorite feature - An outdoor fire pit, with firewood provided and 'smores kits available in the main office. Each evening, after a day of hiking, we'd head out to the fire pit and visit with other guests for an hour or so. We'll definitely be staying here again. read more

I've read some of the 5 star reviews and cannot agree. I guess we are spoiled by what the chains typically provide: coffee maker in the room; a nice bank of outlets to charge all the stuff that needs charging; updated décor/furniture/fixtures. The price and location met our needs but it really put me off to not have in-room coffee maker, or coffee in the office (office wasn't even open at 7AM and was w/o coffee). This just seems so basic these days. The furniture arrangement was just odd, old and crowded in the small room, and we had to unplug lamps in order to charge phones, ipod, camera battery. We were not there during ski season and this was our first stay in Lincoln. If we return to that area we'll find another place. read more

We loved this place, it is "lodgy" but fun. There is a pool, a fire pit, a cool swing in front, and a great restaurant across the street. The staff is wonderful, we had an issue when we arrived and the lovely woman at the front was great and very helpful. read more

The Kanc Lodge is a great, affordable and reliable place to stay. It's a "motel style" so go in expecting that and you won't be disappointed. Great room rates even on peak winter ski weekends, clean, comfortable rooms and an excellent location. It's nice having the Common Man restaurant right behind it, and convenient having Brittany's for a cheap breakfast. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! read more

Just got back from a weekend there and would definitely go back! Friendly service (Leo was as welcoming as they get). Clean and for the price cannot be beat. Great location for hiking, natural water sliding and grilling in the summer months! Very good location for Loon in the winter. Laid back atmosphere where you can get away. read more

My wife and I stayed here 3 nights back in July. I found the rooms very clean and very well maintained. The couple that run the place were both very nice and hospitable. The room had a very nice view out the balcony which I think all the rooms have. On the last night we had a plumbing problem (caused by the guests next door) which the owners quickly responded to, and moved us to another room. When we checked out the owners gave us a discount for the inconvienence which I considered minor. I found the cost per night to be very reasonable for the area. The next time I stay in the area I will definetly be staying here again. read more

My friend and I stayed here for a couple of nights this past week and I really don't have any complaints. The location is convenient, there are plenty of options for things to do and places to eat nearby, some spots were just steps from our room. The staff was great, super helpful and friendly, and really made us feel welcome. The pool was nice too and it's open pretty late. I'll definitely come here again when I'm looking to stay somewhere in town with a few more amenities than the usual tent camping. read more

Stayed here 2 nights in October. Beautiful area in the fall ! This lodge is older, but very clean and nice bathroom. Beds were comfortable. Manager was very friendly. We did day trips from here-- a short train trip and an aerial tram. The view from the hotel of mountains on both sides is wonderful. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. read more

I stayed at this lodge with family for a wedding we were attending at Loon Mountain. Overall I was pleased with the experience. The service was excellent and the owner was very nice and personable. The only bad part about my experience was that the room smelled a little musty, but other than that everything was great. I would definitely recommend! read more
