I have been staying at Mt Coolidge for over 15 Years. Friends and I started staying at the motel during Laconia Motorcycle Week, I now try to visit the area a couple more times a year and always stay at Mt Coolidge. The motel and rooms are always clean and comfortable. Dev and family are always accommodating and friendly. They address any needs immediately. My wife and I recently stayed here and could not have been more pleased. The hosts were exceptionally friendly, professional and helpful. The motel was extremely clean, and the pool was clean and refreshing. The location was perfect, along Rt 3, with attractions - including the villages of North Woodstock and Lincoln within five miles in either direction. I highly recommend the Mt. Everything went well. They let us check 90 minutes early. The pool is awesome and it's in the sun all day. It's close to everything. Room 8 is awesome. There's a large window in the room that opens up to the pemi river- it's about 15 feet away. read more

This motel at first appears to be just another basic motel worth 3 stars at best. The TV is small, the refrigerator is small, etc., but ... it was very clean and in excellent repair. A big plus is the stream behind the room which provides a restful background sound throughout the night. Hint: the standard cabins have an odd layout - three bedrooms, two with double beds and one a single but very little free floor space. Unless you need the extra beds, go for the queen room or the queen deluxe room. read more

The worst place I've ever stayed at hands down, and I do a lot of traveling. I have a mold allergy, and the first thing I noticed in the room was the over powering smell of mold and mildew. The next thing I saw were black stains on the carpet and brown/black stains on the mattress cover. It was late when we arrived and it was 4th of July weekend so we had no choice to stay. The beds were simply the most rock hard horrible beds I've ever slept on. I can sleep anywhere as a general rule. I got about 20 minutes of sleep total that night between the rock hard beds and my allergies going crazy (suspect mold). The next morning I spoke to the owner/manager, telling him I got zero sleep, and that I have mold allergy and had a hard time breathing. I showed him the brown/black spots on the mattress. He said that someone "spilled something" on the mattress cover although the spots were all around the mattress cover. I asked if he could smell mold. He said he could not. He flatly and rudely refused a refund, nor offered to switch rooms. We were stuck for another night, as everything was full. We had to purchase 100 worth of egg crate mattress, pillows, blankets as well as melatonin so I could sleep. The next morning I woke up with pink eye. The Dr said it was secondary to my allergies (mold). In addition other things--old flat pillows, old thin blankets, very very old outdated furniture; very small tv and handicapped railing which was broken. Horrible horrible run down neglected place. When I posted my review on Google it was somehow removed. Be ware! I think these stellar reviews are fabricated or the bad reviews are somehow take down. read more

Most notable, the friendly proprietors who elevate this basic motel and make it a fun place to stay. Loved the coffee always brewing in the office and the crystal clear river flowing out back. It's a very clean motel to-boot. The one drawback, a tiny bathtub which doesn't take into consideration anyone with a wide rear load. read more

We were looking for a good motel to stay at in the white mountains last minute! Pretty much everyone was booked up but I managed to snag a room here. I did research beforehand on Trip Advisor and this motel received the highest ratings of any motel in the area. The motel is family run and the owners are super friendly and genuinely concerned about your stay and well being. The room we were in was super clean, one of the best I've seen. It was also very roomy. The first thing I noticed was how big the bathroom was. I was surprised since bathrooms are typically pretty small in motels and hotels. The rooms also come with a flat screen TV with cable, a mini fridge, and there is a heated pool on site. This motel sits right in front of the Pemigewasset river and you can hear the river running peacefully at night through the window. All we had to do was take a walk to the back of the motel and there was a sitting area where you could relax and enjoy the river. Back there is also an ice machine and microwave in case you want to enjoy a nice lunch or dinner by the river. Loved this, it was awesome! The price for a night was super reasonable for all the amenities provided by the motel. This was actually the cheapest price I've ever paid for a room. My only gripe was that the beds and pillows seemed super hard and I couldn't get a good night's sleep. This partially affected my experience in the white mountains because I was tired all day. In all, the motel was great and I would definitely consider staying here again, but I would probably bring my own pillow. read more

I did some research and from the reviews this looked like a nice place. Exactly what I was looking for. Something that made me feel like I was in the mountains of NH. Now this could have been an average place but what made it so much more were the owners Kevin and Vicky. They were the absolute best. So accommodating. So friendly. Asked if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. The rooms are big and extremely clean. I would go back and stay with them again without hesitation. This place was absolutely adorable! The owners were very friendly and helpful. The "room" was more like a small cottage with two separate bedrooms and a lovely screened in porch complete with a fire pit in the rear yard with a beautiful view of the river. In the New Hampshire mountain areas, small towns like Lincoln main roads are lined with motels like this one. We typically stay in more resort-like places when we travel so choosing a small, independently owned motel was a challenge. But thanks to Yelp and other review sites we decided to make a choice based on actual customer experience reviews. Mount Coolidge motel is one of those little places we would previously drive by and easily overlook, but we actually found this small property quite charming. We were travelling with family so rented three rooms total. Two of our rooms were side by side and a third in a separate building but the entire property is just one level and we were not spread out too far. The motel itself is definitely a no-frills, slightly outdated yet clean, comfortable and convenient place to stay overnight. There was a heated pool and towels available at the pool and our niece and nephew enjoyed a short swim after a day of hiking until the pool closed at about 9:00 p.m. There is a microwave and ice maker on the property and though we were a little amused at the set up outside a garage for all the guests to have access, they were quite functional. All of our rooms had mini refrigerators so that was helpful to keep our refreshments cold while travelling. My sister's family had one adult and two young teens so they roomed in a double bed room and requested a roll away. The extra bed was just a mattress put on the floor. When the kids were younger this would not be an issue especially since the room itself was spacious enough, but they were not entirely happy about the arrangements. The showers in all of our rooms were short, so for us taller guests it required some flexibility to wash the hair. Our room was right on the river so opening the windows gave us a beautiful backdrop to enjoy the peaceful sight and sounds. Really what made our stay so pleasant overall was the friendly and helpful people. The couple running the motel were genuine and super nice. We had requested a disability accessible room for my mother, and though they did not know what that meant, they offered extra assistance by bringing a hot tea pot and coffee directly to her and checking on her when we went out hiking. The hotel has a beautiful swing and some chairs to sit and enjoy the river view and for $10 you can purchase some firewood and have an outdoor fire in a nice little fire pit area. In the mornings complimentary coffee is available in the office. We enjoyed our stay at Mount Coolidge Motel overall and would definitely consider staying here next time we are in Lincoln. read more

We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay with kids for a long weekend, and found some great reviews of the Mt. Coolidge Motel online so we gave it a shot. It didn't disappoint. Our room was spotless, the location convenient, the pool wonderful, the rates reasonable, and the owners incredibly nice. What more do you need? From the moment we walked in to check-in and obtain our room key, until the time we checked out, we were VERY pleased with our experience! We're already planning another longer stay because of our experience. The owner (the Mrs.) greeted us upon entering in such a laid back and pleasant manner, leaving us knowing that our stay would be great. The rooms were VERY spacious. Especially the bathrooms. Feels good to not be so cramped. I'm a frequent hotel guest and must say that the cleanliness of our room was 5 Stars + Regardless of some of the decor being outdated, it actually fits the feel of the environment. We left our windows open and fell asleep to the soothing sounds of the rapid running brook behind our room. I'm not a serial Yelp'r, but felt the need to share our experience with those who are. If you're in search of a Park Plaza Hotel room, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a great room run by very nice people in the most beautiful of places in New England, this is your spot. This place is great. The rooms were pretty big, very clean and inexpensive. The owners were really friendly and you could tell they cared about their guests having a good experience. They do have chairs to sit outside in a covered space right outside your room, an outdoor pool. The beds aren't super comfortable and the rooms are a little dated but hey you really can't complain for the price. I would absolutely recommend it if you are in the area and in need of an inexpensive place to stay for a night or two. read more

Our family came up for the Highland Games which is a busy time of year. Kevin was extremely accommodating and friendly. The rooms are quaint and while a bit dated are very clean. We loved the brook running in the back. There was plenty of parking and a breakfast place in walking distance. Make reservations during busy season, they fill up fast! read more

It's a little retro, your basic roadside motel, but real nice. It was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. We stayed there before and after a White Mountains backpack. Kevin, the owner, was very nice and helpful with advice about relaxing in the pool after hiking and where we could get the best burgers and beer. It's in a quieter end of the North Woodstock-Lincoln area. We will definitely go back there. read more

The best!! We have stayed in both a room and in a cabin. Both are great but we fell in love with the cabin, a perfect size for our family of four (the bathroom is huge!) Mt Coolidge is so incredibly clean and the owners (Kevin and Vicky) are fantastic! The brook running behind the rooms and cabins is the best to listen to at night. They have a beautiful pool, which is of course...SO clean! I cannot wait to get back!! read more
