    Crab cakes
    Lindsey D.

It's right on the road overlooking the grassy area where the beach is. Service was very quick. Overall the food was ok but definitely pricey for the level of quality. The mussels were ok, the lobster bisque had big clumps of lobster in it, the crab cakes had a lot of filling in them and were a touch overcook which is not my favorite. This cost was majorly off putting because I would've expected significantly better quality. But if you want something decent near the beach, this isn't a bad option.

It was good food, service was also good, prices are reasonable, outdoor seating was very nice with Good view, they have restrooms inside the hotel, overall good experience

We came in on a Monday night for the wonderful flamenco dancer and guitarist. They played for several hours. Our servers were so sweet. We got the mussels which were delicious. We got caipirinhas. The "small" cocktail is huge. I think all their cocktails come in the same format.

Two Eggs Breakfast w/ bacon and potatoes
    Courtney M.

Two eggs breakfast was good. Potatoes were delicious! They also gave a decent portion of bacon. The French toast was a bit dry and flavorless. I actually took the bacon, lettuce, tomato from the two eggs meal and ate it with the French toast as a BLT. It was much better that way. Chicken and waffles were okay. Good service. Great location!

I wish I checked Yelp first... Enjoying my walk on Ocean Dr, I noticed 2 musicians/singers setting up to play in the restaurant patio. Long story short, the guy "drumming" wasn't really playing the conga drums...just an illusion!!! Food was really delicious, but wayyyyyy too expensive! I ordered the Penne Vodka with Chicken ($30), delicious but pricey. Also, expect an 18% service charge to be added on the bill! Yikes!! Drinks were very sweet and strong! Just a heads up, no free water....$9 for flat or sparkling water Service was great but I cannot justify the prices here, eat somewhere else

Fantastic Atmosphere, Perfect for an Intimate Dinner with Friends or Family. Live Music. Flamenco Dance. Our host and server were friendly, offered recommendations and details about the preparation of the meals. Teşekkür ederim (Thank you) Murat. Fried Red Snapper and Churrasco Steak was delicious. Amazing experience! Note that there is a 18% gratuity (service) charge that automatically applies!

Show up with a buzz, have the expensive hooka, drop a days pay on a seafood steak platter for two and pretend you're literally anywhere but the United States as you watch a fire eating belly dancer move to Cuban techno music. It's a wild and fun place that doesn't try to his what it is. Lucia, our server, was a sweetheart and took care of my wife and I for the two hours we spent there.

I love this place and my famous server. Great ambiance, food was really good. They also have hookah menu.

    Super champagne mojito
    Nikhita T.

My sister and I were looking for a casual spot for drinks after going to the beach, and we found this place. There was live music with a couple of performers, which was really nice. We ordered the Super Champagne Mojito, which is definitely enough for 2-3 people, and Nachos Machos, which had a good portion size too. They also offer hookah. I loved the vibe here--the ambiance was great, and the server was really quick and helpful. I definitely recommend this place, especially for their unique drinks.

Had lunch at Kanoli and the food and service was great. I definitely recommend the seafood paella. You will love it!

Very good food, drinks and entertainment. A must try if you're on Ocean Drive. Didn't get to try the hookah. But if you're staying at Hotel Ocean, you get 10% off your order and can take your drinks to your room.

It was around dinner time, and there was still plenty of pastries to choose from. I ordered the focaccia topped with fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, arugula, and Kalamata olives, which was toasted to order. I grabbed a seat inside the bakery and watched as the bakers prepared the next batch of focaccia. I was the only diner inside the bakery, but several customers came in to order focaccias to-go. The focaccia tasted fresh - the bread had a nice chew, and the cherry tomatoes were nice and sweet. The arugula seemed to have lost some of its crispness and became wilted after going through the toaster oven, but otherwise, the focaccia hit the spot. I noticed several other Rosetta Bakery locations in South Beach, so I'll have to try their Italian sandwiches and pastries if I'm ever back in the area.

It was 9pm and they had an hour before closing but again, I just wanted a single espresso so I figured it was enough time. No greeting when we walked in. Barely a word spoken as we ordered. I saw they were about to serve my espresso in a paper cup and I asked for a ceramic cup since the paper changes the flavor. They said they couldn't do that because they were closing. There was still 45 minutes to go at this point but they said they'd rather refund me the $3+ dollars for the ounce of coffee. They ended just giving in. It took less than 5mins for us to eat the 4 small tarts and me to drink the espresso. They proceeded to get an attitude and mock me on the way out. None of the employees like their jobs or people. None of them want to be there. They are rude and disrespectful. I get it, its work. Ive been there. But I will not support or spend my money again in a place where everyone exudes "we hate you and this job". There's plenty of other options.

Even better, the timing of my visit lined up with Salt & Straw's cereal flavor series, meaning that they were scooping one of my favorites, Pots of Gold and Rainbows. I also noticed a few flavors that sounded like local specialties, including coffee tres leches and cheese guava. Since the shop was empty, it took several attempts to catch someone's attention when I was ready to order. Once I was being helped, I sampled a couple of flavors and decided that I couldn't go wrong with a scoop of Pots of Gold and Rainbows in a waffle cone. The staff is beyond friendly and attentive, often stopping by and not only checking on you but also to simply converse about your meal, opinions on the food, or chat about whatever you want to bring up. That is a level of personalness that just doesn't exist in most restaurants or even the service industry. The decor is soft and inviting; intimate; it has a soft, yellow lighting and the rest of the environment is meant to contrast the lighting. It's a nod to not only the owners' backgrounds and roots, but also to the old school fine dining environments. It set the stage perfectly for what was to come. The tasting menu is 10 dishes and is served in 4 courses (apps, small plates, entrees, dessert), served in a 3 plate course until dessert which is 1 dish. Each dish is unique in its own right, yet contrasts from the others so you don't get fatigue from a single flavor or style. For example, the app course that I had was a wahoo ceviche, a shrimp and green papaya salad, and an endive and sharp cheese salad (served in wrapped endive leaves). They all worked together, but offered vastly different textures and contrasting flavors while feeling like an orchestra working together in your mouth. This experience continued through the entrees and I cannot opine on the dessert (rum cake) because I took it to go because I was so full... which has never happened to me in a tasting menu before. Paya is not only worth consideration in a saturated market of fine dining in Miami, it is one that should be prioritized and experienced as an indulgence of senses and flavors. While it may seem expensive in a vacuum, it is 33-50% cheaper than a slew of other tasting menus in the city and offers more courses for that cheaper price.

I like that many of his ingredients are sourced locally at his farm where he trains his team on food quality. I think it does add something extra to the dishes. This is his new elevated Caribbean fusion cuisine, which I was excited to try and didn't disappoint. I went for the miami spice and ordered a few extra apps. Dim lit interior. Nice music soundtrack. Amazing menu. I enjoyed the roti starter as well as the scallop dish which had great presentation and flavors. The papaya salad was also a hit. For the miami spice starter I tried the ceviche which has great presentation and quite flavorful. As for the main, I got the fish in curry which was a table favorite! The rum cake was his signature dessert like in Mamey... however, unlike Mamey they didn't pour the sauce at the table and mine felt a little lacking something. I think the table pour was nicer and had a little more generous pour. Overall I'd recommend and return.

Kadayifi Nuts: Lots of those thin pastry noodles so it's almost like a soppy nest on the bottom. A bunch of pistachios on top for some crunch and protein. Pistachio Dolama: Like a bunch of pistachio paste merging with phyllo in a wet pasty roll. Not as much texture contrast as everything else, but tasty. Cheesy Pistachio Shell: It looked like kinda like a baklava, but underneath the phyllo and the pistachio mince was this interesting cheese ball. Almost like a pearl instead an oyster, a great surprise! Probably my second favorite item. Purple Baklava: Like a regular baklava, but purple.
