Looking for a quick bite to eat in Miami Beach, I spotted Rosetta Bakery's pristine window display with tantalizing focaccias and pastries. It was around dinner time, and there was still plenty of pastries to choose from. I ordered the focaccia topped with fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, arugula, and Kalamata olives, which was toasted to order. I grabbed a seat inside the bakery and watched as the bakers prepared the next batch of focaccia. I was the only diner inside the bakery, but several customers came in to order focaccias to-go. The focaccia tasted fresh - the bread had a nice chew, and the cherry tomatoes were nice and sweet. The arugula seemed to have lost some of its crispness and became wilted after going through the toaster oven, but otherwise, the focaccia hit the spot. I noticed several other Rosetta Bakery locations in South Beach, so I'll have to try their Italian sandwiches and pastries if I'm ever back in the area. read more

Stopped by for an espresso and a couple of sweets to end my birthday meal. Ive been to other locations before and had decent experience but this time the service was atrocious. It was 9pm and they had an hour before closing but again, I just wanted a single espresso so I figured it was enough time. No greeting when we walked in. Barely a word spoken as we ordered. I saw they were about to serve my espresso in a paper cup and I asked for a ceramic cup since the paper changes the flavor. They said they couldn't do that because they were closing. There was still 45 minutes to go at this point but they said they'd rather refund me the $3+ dollars for the ounce of coffee. They ended just giving in. It took less than 5mins for us to eat the 4 small tarts and me to drink the espresso. They proceeded to get an attitude and mock me on the way out. None of the employees like their jobs or people. None of them want to be there. They are rude and disrespectful. I get it, its work. Ive been there. But I will not support or spend my money again in a place where everyone exudes "we hate you and this job". There's plenty of other options. read more

Visually, everything looks absolutely beautiful. You want to try everything. But with every single bite, you experience the same disappointment, nothing has any flavor. The pastries are bland, tasteless, and airy like cotton. You can't taste any of the ingredients inside. Today I had a dessert and it felt like I was biting into sweetened cotton. It's awful. The prices they charge are extremely high, yet the quality and service are zero. As someone who cooks at home and cares deeply about healthy eating, I can confidently say this bakery is using cheap, low quality, artificial ingredients while charging premium, organic-level prices. Be mindful of where you spend your money. We don't earn it easily. Support places that truly offer quality and integrity. read more

I love Rosetta Bakery for their baked Italian pastries, bread and their coffees. The store display is filled with fresh and delicious bread, pastries, sandwiches and desserts. There's also the see through panetteria where you can see chefs as they masterfully create their delicious pane and pasticceria. Upon ordering customers will choose the items they like from the display, or order from the menu. Then you wait for your order to be ready and enjoy it inside or outside at the patio of the restaurant. I personally like the Curcuma Bread with prosciutto di parma, arugula, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese drizzled with olive oil, Foccacia Sandwich also with prosciutto di parma and swiss cheese. For desserts, saccotino (puff pastry with chocolate), and nuttela bombolone are my favorites. The Rosetta Bakery have a cozy, welcoming and inviting atmoshphere. The sweets at Rosetta Bakery are presented beautifully. Everything looks delicious. I was anxious to try one of their sweet treats. I decided on a raspberry tart. The raspberries were very fresh. The tart itself was a bit stale. I wasn't that impressed. I ended up not eating much more of what is shown here, except the tasty raspberries. If I am in this area again, I might try something else. We felt like we were back in Italy yesterday. We walked past this amazing bakery at Lincoln Road and had to turn around and go inside. The wonderful baking smells as you enter, grab you immediately, and you want to order everything they offer! Sandwiches, pizzas, and pastries! We weren't prepared to eat there, but we did buy a few things to bring home for later. We ordered the chocolate soft cake, the apple soft cake, and a lemon tart. I bought my son a turkey sandwich and a bottle of water, for $22 and the obligatory 15% minimum tip (options are 15%, 18%, and 20%) for the worker to hand you a sandwich over the counter. We had a craving for a sweet little treat when shopping around in the area. These photos caught my eye and we just had to check them out. My sister later told me this is a fan favorite for both locals and tourists. Everything look delicious from their huge pre-made sandwiches, croissants, pastries, and especially the donuts. My friend and I shared a custard filled donut and chocolate croissant. The donut was so soft and fluffy filled with almost too much custard. It was incredibly sweet for those who need to be cautious of sugar intake. The croissant was good but I wished I ordered one the filled croissants instead. The Deets: I wanted something different...OK, maybe even sweet, one morning on my recent visit to Miami Beach so I walked over to Rosetta Bakery in the Lincoln Road Mall area. Upon entering, the bakery is nice, bright, clean, and inviting. There are multiple glass cases displaying the sweet and savory treats for the day. After almost going savory on this trip, I then gazed upon the creme filled croissant in the display case and my decision was made. Food orders are made there at the display case and then the drink orders are made when you get to the cash register to pay, further down. The person taking my food order appeared a bit less than enthusiastic but did take my order as needed, adequately. Going down to the register to put in my drink order (a latte) and pay, I experienced a more positive feeling with a smile and pleasant service from the person there. I sat down and enjoyed both my creme filled croissant and latte in the nice seating area provided, which has a nice view of the bakery in action through the glass. My food order and latte were delicious, and just what I needed. The croissant not overly filled with sweet tasting creme but just enough to give a nice added treat to the perfectly baked croissant itself. I recently stopped by (again) to have a quick lunch at Rosetta (it's been a few times now, so long time pending). Prosciutto mozzarella baguette was just amazing and not too heavy. Loved this cafe during my stay in miami. Foccacia was excellent! So fresh, flaky, buttery, and savory. Had to get seconds. Chocolate bombalone was also very soft and moist but could use more filling. It was incredibly sweet. Their lattes were very smooth and didn't need any sweetener. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I love how cute the interior is and you can see all of the pastries lined up. When you're at the Lincoln Road Mall shopping district looking for a chill place to take a break from an afternoon of shopping (or a respite from the Miami sun and heat) and want grab a bite to eat and/or a hot or iced latte....Rosetta is the place to go. That was exactly what we were looking for. Forget Starbucks right on the Lincoln Road Mall plaza. Or even any of the pricey plaza restaurants. Head a block off the plaza on Lenox right near the Nike and Apple stores and you'll find Rosetta with its abundance of outside table seating. (A great "tired husband / boyfriend" hang out location.) Without Yelping, we probably would never have stumbled upon this place, even as so close as it was from us, literally just steps away. Step inside the shop and feast your eyes on allllllll the yummy goodness they make right there in their back kitchen - just an amazing assortment of sweet pastries, homemade artisan pizzas and meat sandwiches. You will want to try one of everything! We love coming to the Lincoln Road mall area to shop at least once during our annual visit to Miami Beach (be sure to come down on a Sunday when they have their farmer's and flea market right on the plaza - so fun and lots of good bargains to be had! Shout out to Bonnie's Jewelry - she's a gem (get it?!) and has the most beautiful pieces at bargain prices!). Rosetta will be on our go-to list for sure when we come back! The 2 of us ended up splitting a long turkey and cheese sandwich, a custard filled donut to share (O.M.G. - mongo, soft and delicious!), an iced latte and a juice. The late afternoon light snack was perfect to not spoil our later night dinner. We also bought a couple of their square pizza "slices" to go because we wanted to try them as a late night snack later on - they looked so good in the display case (see all my pics! I couldn't help snapping away because this place is so cute, vibey and gorgeous!). If you're down at the Lincoln Mall shopping area and need a spot to rest your weary feet and enjoy a latte and a light snack, a Rosetta stop-in is truly a no-brainer and worth the visit!!! Walking by, I was drawn in by all of the decedent looking, beautiful pastries in the window. I selected several items to try - a pistachio cream filled croissant, a black and white cookie with Nutella, an apple tart, and an almond cake. To be completely honest, it was underwhelming and not as good as it looked. The worker didn't know the names of the items I was asking for which was a bit odd. Out of the items we got, I really enjoyed the almond cake. The croissant wasn't as flaky as it could've been, but the pistachio filling was yummy and unique tasting. The cookie, once again, did not taste buttery or flaky to me. Meh. Came for a quick lunch. The staff was a bit aggressive and demanding. I spent sometime looking at all the offerings but every 30 seconds I was asked what I wanted to order. "Let me know if you have questions or need recommendations" would of been welcomed. I watched the same interaction with other customers who came in as most didn't know what to order but were rushed. Mind you there was no line. Let me preface by saying I worked in the hospitality industry a long time and was a pastry chef in the past. Rosetta gives the impression that everything is baked in house, but it's just a show. They only finish in the store and most items are not made from scratch. Their "baker" was dipping purchased cannoli shells in purchased chocolate glaze. What I wanted was made fresh daily and limited selection of items that will mostly sell out by the end of day. Rosetta had so many pastries there is no way they would sell most. Which means a lot is day old. Not my cup of tea. The stuffed doughnut (Berliner style) was filled with "store bought" cream. In the area and looking for a quick bite, I popped into Rosetta. They say you eat with your eyes, and it's almost impossible to not walk in after catching a glimpse of all the carby Italian goodness from the outside. While the pastries all look amazing, I was seeking something savory and opted for a slice of focaccia topped with potato, mushroom, and rosemary. It wasn't an easy decision to make, as they also have tasty looking sandwiches and pizza amid all the sweets. It was heated up for me and I snagged a spot outside to enjoy. I really enjoyed my focaccia and am pretty sure all of the other offerings will be just as tasty. The people working here were friendly enough and happy to talk through everything that was available. There's some seating inside but the majority of the seating is outside, which is pretty key for businesses in this busy Lincoln Road area. I've ordered from here before or have had my coworkers run and pick some stuff up for the office. Never any complaints. The stuffed mushroom focaccia is another level delicious. Like amazingly delicious. This morning I decided to go downstairs myself and pick up my own order. They advertise "minute pickup" however, far from minutes. I arrived and had to wait while everyone outside got up and out of their chairs to move them and the tables so I could wheel myself to the doorway. "Accessibility" is advertised all over their website and yet, I couldn't even make it to the front door. I wait in line for a few minutes and realize my order is prob ready, being that it's now 9:08 and my order was confirmed at 8:45. I decided to scoot my way to the front of the line, which wasn't an easy task, and waited to be acknowledged by the cashier. After she finished helping the couple next to me she asked what I needed. Told her I was there to pick up my order. She asked my name and then went to the back to check on it. Nothing is ready for me. It's been 15 min and I simply ordered a coffee and a ciambella, what's the hold up? She then comes back to ask what I ordered because they don't have an order for me. I pull out my phone and show her my confirmation text. She clicks the link and sees my confirmation order in full. She then explains that the WiFi isn't working and I'll need to pay for my order, again! Excuse me!? Pay again. Here is my confirmation of payment and you're telling me I need to pay you again!? Why? Someone hears what's going on and comes to save my money. She instructed Sindy, the cashier, not to charge me and told me she would take care of my order. It was ready within minutes. The coffee is good. The Ciambella was amazing. Fluffy. Hints of orange. Sweet. The food here is legit bomb. Wish the experience would've been just as good. read more
