We spent the whole year complaining about the unlivable heat in the apartment (due to living on top of the boiler room), spending huge electric bills to counteract the heat, having to use AC units year round, and dealing with disruptive neighbors around the clock. I could go on forever about all of the awful experiences I had living here, from children running loose in the parking lot asking me for money to buy bikes, to management being impossible to contact unless you're lucky enough to go to the office when they're actually in person. However, I only have so much precious time left on earth. If you're moving to Milford, go ANYWHERE ELSE!! This place is not worth it for the treatment and experience you will receive.

This review reflects my honest personal experience living in this apartment, and all statements are based on what I personally observed and experienced. I have never been this dissatisfied by an apartment. I have never felt so unheard by management when experiencing a major issue with my apartment. We paid luxury prices for one of the worst apartment experiences I've had in over a decade. Within a week of moving here, we knew we had made the wrong decision renting at the Groves. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I found the leasing office extremely difficult to work with, and we felt our concerns were not addressed in a timely or effective way. It has been a maddening experience trying to resolve any issues with them, and the back and forth has been incredibly frustrating. You can only talk to them directly IN PERSON because their phone system reroutes you to a call center. It has been a nightmare for us trying to get our deposit back. Here's a short list of things we dealt with during the one year we rented here: * Our apartment frequently felt overheated, especially due to the boiler room below us. * We noticed thin walls that sound traveled through very well. We heard frequent dog barking and children screaming. * We frequently noticed strong odors in the hallways, including what smelled like marijuana. * We heard kids screaming outside nearly all day long from the school nearby. * We saw roaming groups of children and teens riding their bikes and playing in the active parking lots at all hours of the day and night, including throwing balls near the cars. * We often observed outside access doors being propped open, which made us feel the building was less secure and led to a solicitor coming to our door. I feel I could talk endlessly about the cons of living at this complex. We were not able to rent the apartment we initially chose that appeared as available on their website at the time. We ended up having to choose a different apartment because no other units were available within our move-in timeframe. This apartment happened to be the one above a boiler room. We had to run our AC units in January because the colder it was outside, the hotter the boiler room got to heat the other apartments and made our apartment an oven. We had to run multiple fans throughout the apartment in the summer, and it was still a miserable temperature in there. We paid nearly $400 two months in a row on our energy bill just to keep our apartment livable this past year. Mind you, this apartment was less than 1,000 sq ft. When we first moved in, we communicated the overheating issue to the office. We did not receive any meaningful follow-up for about six months. They had an outside contractor put insulation around the pipes that ran right below our floor, but it did not correct the problem. When we were offered to move into another unit, I called my fiancé to make sure we were both okay with that. I tried to call back not even five minutes later and was unable to get a hold of anyone. My fiancé and I tried multiple times to call back that day without success. We also emailed them immediately but were told they had already leased it to someone else in that time. We frequently heard a lot of noise from above us and from the hallways. We often heard dogs barking and babies crying from the other side of the building. Our upstairs neighbors frequently played loud music, and the smell of marijuana made its way into our apartment through shared vents in the bathroom on many occasions. My life has improved in so many ways now that I no longer have to live there. I cannot wait to finally have our deposit back so I can put this entire chapter behind me and never have to talk to these people again. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

I moved into Windsor at Hopkinton in 2022 and will be leaving in 2026. Over the course of my…read moretenancy, my experience has been deeply disappointing, and I feel it is important to share this review for anyone considering this community especially families. Maintenance services are adequate at times, but consistency and urgency are major issues. On two separate occasions, the air filter in my apartment was left unchanged. One of these incidents caused the AC unit to trigger an alarm at 3:00 AM, waking both my newborn and I . Despite the urgency, no one arrived for nearly two hours to resolve the issue minding you the alarm was still going off. Additionally, I experienced a bug infestation that required my apartment to be exterminated twice. I have never lived in any residence--apartment or otherwise--that had roaches or similar issues. After speaking with multiple neighbors, it became clear that this is not an isolated problem; there appears to be a widespread roach infestation throughout the property. Repairs are often handled with little to no urgency. At one point, my apartment key stopped working, forcing me to leave my unit unlocked for three days whenever I had to leave. This was a serious safety concern, yet it was not treated as a priority by management. The apartments themselves are poorly constructed. During the winter months, the units become extremely cold, regardless of heating efforts. Police are frequently called to the property, hallways often smell of trash and animals, and there are no security cameras monitoring the parking areas. When my car was hit, there was no footage or accountability. There is also a high likelihood of vehicle break-ins. The leasing office experience is particularly frustrating. Staff members often provide conflicting information, and it is difficult to get clear or accurate answers. Transferring units is unnecessarily complicated and stressful. When your lease ends, tenants are given very limited and expensive options: * Re-sign for another full year * Pay a $2,500 lease termination fee * Or go month-to-month for over $4,000 per month If you request a unit transfer, there is an additional $2,500 transfer fee, and tenants are required to undergo a new credit check and screening, regardless of how long they have lived in the community. Once notice to vacate is submitted, it cannot be rescinded. In my case, I experienced a personal emergency and needed to remain in my unit after giving notice. I was informed that my apartment had already been re-rented within days. Management stated they could ask the incoming tenant to move to a different unit with the same layout; however, this seemed unlikely, especially given that another identical unit was already available for the same move-in date. Ultimately, this situation is leaving my baby and I without housing, which was extremely distressing. Tenants are expected to return units in their original condition, which is reasonable. However, management also offers paid cleaning services to restore the unit to "move-in condition," raising concerns about whether apartments are properly deep-cleaned before new tenants move in, or if minimal work is done before repainting and re-renting units. I was a responsible, quiet tenant who caused no issues and rarely complained. It is unfortunate that I feel compelled to leave a review like this, but residents are paying significant amounts of money for housing marketed as "luxury." Voucher or not, tenants should not be treated this way. Those using housing vouchers, in particular, appear to be treated unfairly. Finally, many of the positive reviews seem inauthentic, and management responses often appear focused on protecting their image rather than addressing tenant concerns. I strongly encourage prospective renters to thoroughly research and consider other options before committing to this property.
