Wanted the drink a tad bit sweeter and the staff offered to remake the entire drink (so sweet and thoughtful). Also gave the ube, mango, biscoff, chocolate, and mocha crinkles a try. All were very tasty, soft, and the flavors stood out. My favorite was the mango by far. This spot is a very good spot for a quick breakfast or snack, so we also gave the savory section a try. These crinkle cookies are no joke. I got the calamansi, fruity pebbles, ube, and guava and they were all so good I had to come leave a review. The outside has this perfect little crunch and then the inside is just super soft, exactly how a crinkle should be. I hate when cookies are dry or taste like they've been sitting out forever but these always taste fresh every time, which is saying a lot. Flavor-wise they all go crazy. The calamansi is a little tangy which I loved, fruity pebbles is just fun and tastes exactly like you'd expect, ube is rich without being too sweet, and the guava one is lowkey my favorite. Honestly some of the best cookies I've had in a while. Already thinking about my next order. If you haven't tried these yet just do it, you won't regret it. If you need a cake, look no further. My cake request was unique bc I wanted a blueberry filling which is not listed as one of their options. It was for a baby shower I was hosting. Carla was so helpful and patient. She walked me thru the possibilities and when I sent her a picture of the cake, she was surprised that it was a cake they recently made (I found it on Pinterest not their website). Serendipitous for sure. I honestly didn't have high expectation bc I had never ordered from this bakery before. But I was pleasantly surprised. The cake was moist and the buttercream vanilla flavor complimented the blueberry filling perfectly; delicious! It was exactly what I wanted and my guests agreed. Parking: Easy, open, free lot located behind the brewery. Service: Friendly and quick. Ambiance: It was 9 in the morning, so it was pretty quiet. I came here on a whim looking for good coffee. I ordered the Island Girl latte, a box of 12 assorted crinkle cookies (originally priced at $30, but I got them at a discount--I think they were a day old), guava cheese rolls, and a chocolate cigar. The crinkle cookies were great. They're lightly sweetened with a sugary coating on the outside. I had the strawberry, calamansi, and guava flavors, and they each had a distinctive taste, which I appreciated. I didn't get to try the cheese rolls since I was gifting those. I did try the chocolate cigar, which was like a brownie rolled up in a croissant. That texture wasn't my preference. All in all, I would definitely buy the crinkle cookies again, and I'd try a different drink next time. read more

Came in a large cup with all the good mixings and layers of shaved ice, milk (your choice of 2% or oat), various sweetened beans, jellys, tapioca pearls, fruits and topped off with a scoop of ube ice cream. Chicken adobo bomb has a flaky crust similar to a croissant on the outside filled with shredded chicken seasoned as adobo. It wasn't bad. I enjoyed this flavored bomb better than the corned beef bomb. Corned beef bomb is the same crust as above. The inside is just corn beef and potatoes. I found the corned beef to be lacking flavor and it just tasted plain overall. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either? It was just meh. I really enjoyed their crinkle cookies. I order strawberry and lemon. It was bigger than I thought they would be. I loved how the cookie was crispy on the outside and very fluffy in the middle. It was super good coated with powdered sugar. I was excited to try their guava strudel as I love the guava rolls from Portos. These ones from Kape were amazing. I love that they sprinkle sugar on top of the crust to give it a bit more crunch. Ube cupcake with the flan on top wasn't quite hitting for me. The cupcake itself was really dry and the flan is not flan without the caramel sauce. BEST MATCHA IN EASTVALE! MUST TRY THE BANANA MATCHA I have been travelling to Upland / Chino / Riverside for matcha but stumble upon this place when I was using the postal service next door. Both times I have been the staff are super lovely and attentive. I now can't stop going back for their banana matcha, it is to DIE FOR. So much better tasting than Starbucks or any of the chains in the area and get so much better value for money it is insane. Wow!!! I purchased their Ube Drink & Crinkle Cookies and I am beyond amazed at how fluffy/soft the cookies are (at least the fruity pebbles one, since I haven't tried the ube one yet). But man.... It's incredible! It's like a dream every-time I bite into it. Also, side note: I am quite a picky dessert person and when I experience a dessert that blows my mind ... which is incredibly hard to do, so I love to give praise when that happens. I'm a trucker and I've ordered from them through DoorDash twice in two weeks. I love ube and they offer a lot of ube flavored delights. My favorites are Ube Flan cupcakes and the ube brownie because they are not too sweet just perfect balance. The ube cheesecake is kinda good too the "crust" is a nice surprise and contrast to the soft ube part. Don't care for the tres leches- it just doesn't taste ube enough for me. We got more treats for Easter sunday and they delivered it perfectly. The baked turon was cripsy and so good without being overwhelmingly sweet. The ube tres leches was a hit with our families. Filipino/American Cafe. It's a cute cafe. It's a small one so not very many tables. It looks like they focus on desserts and fusion pastries. My favorite Ube & Buko pandan crinkle cookies and Buko Pandan cupcakes. They were sweet just how I like them. The price, not too bad. Pretty good I think considering the area. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Kape Republic is one of those Filipino fusion coffee shops that should be highlighted more. Everything is good, place is clean, and the owners are super friendly and nice. Service is beyond A+. My highlights on what to order: Cold brew ube foam: Don't skip this one if you're a coffee drinker and you like your coffee strong BUT still have that nice ube flavor. The combo is heaven. A+ Ube cheesecake bites: they use real ube. And you taste the ube. It's a burst of goodness and it's not so sweet at all. A+ Ube brownies: get out with that yummy goodness. I was super eager to try the much-raved-about Halo Halo, but decided to explore other temptations instead. I picked up a Buko (coconut) Pandan Crinkle, a Banana Turon, an ube brownie, and another ube delight--because who can resist ube? But hold up--cue the dramatic music! A fly was buzzing around one of the ube cupcakes in the case, and I quickly made my exit from that option. I figured I'd play it safe with a chicken pesto bomb. While it packed a nice flavor punch, it was dry and, honestly, about the size of a pinhead! I really wanted to love this place because it's a new gem in town, but sadly, the pastries had the vibe of being a day old. It's a cute little bakery located across Rodeo X with a variety of pastries, cookies, cake and other desserts. I have had my eye on Kape Republic for some time now and I was pretty excited to see them on the map when we were in the area. My sweet boyfriend drove me over and let me indulge to my heart's content. We had the Halo Halo Shake ($6.25), Baked Turon ($2.75) and Ube Crinkle ($2.50). I would have ordered more but the other items I wanted would need to be refrigerated or consumed immediately. I thought the prices were reasonable, but I'm annoyed by this HIDDEN 3% credit card surcharge. They didn't mention anything about it. I had more than enough cash on hand that I would have used it had I known there was a credit card surcharge. How annoying. We ate the halo halo immediately. The scoop of ube ice cream was smaller than other halo halos, and sadly that is one of my favorite ingredients. It was strangely not that cold like it was melting on the spot. The rice crispies were already soggy, so the texture was lacking. The jellys and fruits were average but something felt like it was missing. It tasted more milky than anything. I prefer the halo halo from Cafe 86, Goldilocks or even the franchised JollyBee more than this halo halo. We saved the baked goods for the evening. The turon was surprisingly bland and there was not that much filling of plantain and jackfruit. The ube crinkle was probably my favorite item we got, but not enough to drive back to this area for no other purpose. A part of me wonders if their original location is better. read more

I see this place all the time when eating across the lot at Shootz. Finally decided to give it a try when searching for a new coffee spot on Yelp. I ordered a Mocha De Dulce Cold Brew, which was basically a spiced Mexican mocha. While I was waiting for my drink, I browsed the treats on display and promised myself I'd try a crinkle next time. Didn't have much time to browse as my drink came out fast, which was a nice bonus. I have one rule when trying a new coffee shop. If they have a good Mexican mocha or Spanish latte, I will be back. My drink wasn't just good - it was so creamy and delicious and somehow even unlike any others I've tasted. I'll credit that to the "spiced" part of the drink. On our most recent visit, we were greeted by the owner which I didn't realize until my keen husband pointed it out. But this visit warmed my heart and it does look like changes did happen from our last visit. The crinkles were more fresh, the service was spectacular and we even saw some new items that we didn't see previously. We got a 4" ube cake for my brother's bday, a vanilla iced coffee (delicious! btw) a strawberry crinkle, 2 cupcakes (calamari and pandan) and a complimentary ube brownie! What a great way to start the week ;) The Ube cake itself was delicious and moist. You can really taste the Ube flavor, however the icing was a bit too sweet for my liking. My dad introduced me to Kape Republik and said I needed to try their Halo-Halo because it is one of the best he's tried in SoCal. He was right! The Halo-Halo was one of the best I've had! The ice was fine, the beans weren't hard, it has chewy boba, Ube halaya, jackfruit, an assortment of other mix-ins, and it's topped with a scoop of Ube ice cream and crunchy pinipig. It's a little sweet but it's such a great treat. (Note: The 2nd time I ordered, it didn't have Ube Halaya). I also enjoyed their Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookie - so chewy and good. They have a variety of crinkles (pandan, strawberry, mocha, guava, etc.) but my favorite is the Chocolate Fudge Crinkle. I also enjoyed their Calamansi Juice. Kape Republik is located just west of the 15 and south of the 60 in Ontario Ranch/Eastvale across the parking lot from Rodeo X. They have a handful of parking spaces at storefront shared with Rodeo X. This cute little shop is inviting. The service here has always been great. The young lady at the counter is super sweet and so kind. She has such a welcoming and friendly smile! Overall, I've visited a few times now and will be back again. Stopped by Kape Republik last night to pick up some dessert. This was my second visit--my first experience was great, and the desserts definitely impressed me back then. Unfortunately, this time around, everything was just... okay. I ordered the halo-halo, but it lacked flavor and didn't have the richness or variety I was hoping for. I also picked up a couple of their cookies (over $2.50 each), and while they looked great, the taste didn't quite live up to the price. Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning.
