    $1.50 for this!

Waaaaay overprized! I stop here every once in a while because I grew up coming to this bakery. but it's ridiculously expensive now! mini bread $1.50, bolillo .99 each, tamales almost $4 each! and they charge an extra 4% when using card... oh and btw the tamales mainly masa... Do yourself a favor drive 3mins down the street to Camachos! I guess you don't always get what you paid for

I really enjoyed their Champurrado! Their pork tamales was an even take of the masa and meat, and was pretty good. Very clean place, lots of varieties of baked goods.

Rosca medium size for $30 this is what I got and it only has 3 babies inside of it.

Was looking for last minute Rosca and I happen to come across this Juarez Bakery and they did have some but they were way to small for the price they were selling them for. They did have small medium and large but way too expensive. Another thing is that this spot really went over board on the price for the bread and sad to say that the bread isn't that good, I've had better for lower price for the Rosca and the bread. Won't be coming here again.

I came here with my boyfriend after work in the early morning and we got to try the fresh warm bolillo. We also got: - a concha - the little piggy shaped bread - champurrado - coffee - a torta - a chicken tamal The champurrado was good because it wasn't chunky like others I've had in the past. We put rice, beans, and chorizo con papas in our torta. The chorizo was oversalted, but aside from that, the rest of the torta was great. The chicken tamal was okay, it wasn't too oily or salty and the tamal was fairly large in my opinion. The sweet bread was okay, i don't remember it tasting like anything out of this world. The employee that helped us out was very polite and sweet. I really enjoyed the experience we had when we were there. I'll probably come here again for a tamal and some freshly squeezed orange juice:)

If you like masa tamales ask for the chicken, the "chicken" is barely visible & You can't even taste it

The texture, the bright lemon flavor, not overly sweet, and full of fresh flavor. Everything was perfectly balanced and on point. Pineapple Drop - 8.75/10 I was expecting the cookie to be a bit drier, but that was just my initial assumption. The pineapple flavor came through nicely and wasn't overly sticky or "tacky." Palmiers - 10/10 Baked to perfection. Flaky, soft, with the perfect amount of crunch. The flavor was beautifully balanced and those sugar crystals were delicious. Felt like I was sitting in a South American bakery. Turkey & Cheese Croissant - 7.92/10 The croissant itself was perfect, the turkey was good, and the cheese was just okay. In fairness, we only ordered this because they were out of the ham & cheese croissants (which we love). If I had never tried the ham & cheese version, this one would probably land in the high 8s or low 9s. Unfortunately, the turkey & cheese just didn't stand a chance against the original. Monkey Bread 10/10 Holy cow! The monkey bread can be described as addictive... the monkey bread is baked with pecans on the bottom, cherries mixed in, cinnamon and a soft dough drizzled with frosting. The monkey bread was so fresh, soft, and full of flavor. The pecans and cherries were perfectly balanced in the monkey bread creating a delicious snack. One last note: We went back up to order more palmiers and the wonderful lady working the counter (Maria) gave us a complimentary one and a monkey bread. Super kind and thoughtful; she actually helped guide us to the carlota as I was wanting a lemon bar or tart and they were out of them. She suggested the carlota and described the taste and she was perfect in Her recommendations. Maria deserves employee of the month!

This was a bit out of the way, but still somewhat close hy in Ontario. I really like the shopping center its in. Lots of communal seating outside. But I can only imagine when its a 100 degrees midday, they dont get much use. The actual store is super small. With very few seating options. They have a lot of different desserts they offer. From coffees, to halo halo to baked goods to cookies to shakes and matcha and everything else inbetween. Staff is friendly, the drinks do take some time to make. We had their halo halo, banana pudding matcha, several of their crinkles, and their guava cheese. The halo halo looks amazing. So many colors. It was very cold. But had no flavors.... tasted like drinking milk with ice. Even the little jellies had no flavors. It wad just loke drinking iced milk. The matcha pudding was horrendous. No real flavors except for bitterness. Seemed like it was watered down. Matcha was not good at all. The crinkles all tasted the same. I didnt know which was which. The guava one had a minor hint of guava. The guava cheese though was really good. Almost rivals that of Portos. But with amazing Filipino desserts closer to home (Cafe 86). And if im really hurting for halo halo closer to home in Seafood City. I dont see myself going out of my way to make a trip here again, unfortunately.

The cassava with macapuno was the true standout. It's the kind of kakanin that stays with you -- the flavor lingers long after you've finished your slice. It has thick layers of macapuno, and the topping reminded me of yema -- sweet, creamy, and just addictive. It's easily one of the best cassava cakes I've ever had. Her leche flan was just as impressive. So smooth, silky, and melt-in-your-mouth good. As someone who also cooks, I can tell this was made with so much care -- probably strained multiple times to get that perfect texture. It's the kind of leche flan that doesn't even need a special occasion to enjoy -- it is the occasion. Anna's Kitchen is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic, thoughtfully made Filipino desserts.
