Roasted Oolong Milk Tea with boba
    Steve H.

After a long day we decided to order via app and pick up our dinner. Our drinks and food are as following: strawberry slush x 2 are good, oolong milk tea with boba x 2 are good tea, bobas are a bit hard, Taiwanese sausage rice is better than average, popcorn chicken rice is very average, the fried udon is good. Service is friendly, but they are very busy. Chat Tea has a welcoming vibe and modern cafe decor, plus plenty of seats for small parties. Everything looks well thought of and warm. They have couple order kiosks, a restroom. Food is okay to me, drinks are good. I can see most patron are here for the drinks.

I was looking for a boba tea place I haven't tried and this is one that came up. I tried the classic milk tea with boba and I would say that it is good, but not the best. It was refreshing and the boba is chewy and consistent. I also got the popcorn chicken non-spicy and was okay. It looks like a good place to study with free WiFi. The decor is that of a cozy cafe. I didn't get to stay too long but I think seating is abundant. I went around early afternoon and wasn't too busy, I think after I got my drink and food it started getting really busy. There is the main register and they also have two self serve kiosks that makes it easy to order. They have a wide range of drinks and food. I would definitely want to come back to try some other drinks and food again.

I enjoy this little spot! It's cute inside, and in my experience the staff have been friendly and accommodating! I love their spicy salmon rice balls with a side of their garlic soy dipping sauce -- so tasty! They have many drinks to choose from, but one of my top favorites is the roasted oolong milk tea. They have lots of light and fruity teas as well, smoothies, etc. I do recommend!

Their pork katsu sandwich combo with fries! So delicious! Love the easy packaging! We brought the food to a Buzzers game nearby. So convenient! The fries were like takoyaki fries because of the similar seasonings, fun & yummy! Food was still good even after a good hour had passed. The double matcha drink which I got with almond milk, was refreshing.....albeit a bit pricey for how small it was, almost $7 I believe? But it really was good! I've gotten teas from here before which were similarly great. However, the food is where it's at! I gotta try the japanese curry udon meal next time too.

I wanted to write an update to my review from a few weeks ago, the customer service has been exceptional. I ended up going back today and let the employees know about what happened during my last visit. They ended up remaking my previous order (Lychee green tea with boba and lychee jelly) and made it 0% sweet which was perfect. The employees were extremely accommodating and even let me taste it before leaving. FYI: the tea was still sweet because the toppings have sweetness already added to them. I also ordered a few other drinks for my family: matcha milk tea, taro milk tea, strawberry lemon slush, and plain green tea. I ordered mostly all of them with less sweetness and my family really liked them and thought the sweetness levels were perfect.

What a cute cozy shop. They displayed very nice anime photos decor. Perfect spot for studying, telecommuting, and having a group hangout. I got iced Peppermint Oolong tea with Agar Boba and less sugar. It was simply refreshing. I will definitely be back and try the dessert/snack. Friendly staff. Great service.

I LOVE CHAT TEA, Not only do I love their other location but this location is just amazeballs, I love their popcorn chicken and their teas are to die for. The amount of times I've craved a salmon rice ball is insane. Amazing customer service and the best place to study and do homework. Always happy when I'm at chat tea. Cause I get to chat and sip my tea

First time coming to Chat Tea after driving past it a few times, and I'm so glad I finally stopped in. It's such a charming little hole-in-the-wall spot with beautiful decor and a really fun vibe. I can definitely see it being a favorite for anime lovers. The staff was very friendly and made the experience even better. It's the perfect place to hang out, relax with friends, and enjoy good food and drinks. I'll definitely be coming back more often to support this local business!

First time reviewing this place, but not my first time here. Been coming here since 2019 on and off. Management has changed but everything still tastes as good as before, if not better cause there's also more options. My friend and I came in around noon and today I ordered the almond milk tea with roasted oolong tea and green tea jelly (regular ice/regular sugar) very almond heavy and sweet so next time I'll probably request 50% sugar. After 2 hours of studying I ordered the spam & egg rice ball and takoyaki. The spam & egg rice ball was good just kept falling apart at the end. The takoyaki was good too, nice outside crunch and gooey center, I just wished there was more sauce on top. My friend got their strawberry matcha and it was good, but just a bit sweet as it was her first time getting it she got regular ice/regular sugar. The overall ambience of the place is nice and cozy with the anime decorations along the wall and also the plants along the front. There's a fair number of outlets along the wall and free WiFi--you'll just have to ask for the password. A pretty good spot to get some work/studying in (: There are 2 reasons I am docking it from being a five star review. Firstly, there are only 2 tables with relatively comfortable seats, all the other chairs aside from the high bar are like the ones in my picture. And the second and more important reason I'm marking it down from a 5-star review is because the two girls at the front were very noisily talking about customers/coworkers and bad-mouthing them. It was really distracting and if it weren't for my noise cancelling headphones we probably would have left within the hour. It's just very unprofessional and off-putting to hear workers talk about people like that. Visited on 9/25/25 at 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Tea was so good and so was the spam onigiri. Other items on the menu also looked good that I did not try but wanted too. God prices. Staff was nice and quick.

Yo-Kai has solid ramen for a kiosk in Ontario Airport!…read more I've been curious about this kiosk, as it always pops up as a recommended ramen joint in the Rancho/Ontario area. There is a limited selection of noodle soups ranging from tonkotsu to Taiwanese beef noodle soup to even beef pho! By the time I arrived to the terminal, most of the popular options were sold out, so I opted to get the Japanese shoyu ramen. The broth was well-seasoned, noodles al dente, and pork slices perfectly tender. It came with naruto, corn, woodear mushroom, and bamboo shoots. The kiosk has some sort of steaming function that heats the bowl of soup to scalding temperatures within 45 seconds - my hand was burning from how hot the bowl was, to the point where one of the employees offered to grab paper towels as a makeshift trivet. My only qualm is that there were no utensils/chopsticks/soup spoons! I'd definitely return the next time I'm at ONT!

My favorite has been the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. My second favorite is the Pork Chatsu. After you get the dispensed bowl, do not forget to grab a box of utensils that's available right below the bowl dispenser. Before opening the lid, I usually stick the chopstick in the middle and swir around few times to keep the tempearature even. For rice dishes, I will do the same but wait few extra minutes for the rice to soak up the juice so you do not end up with runny rice dish. Enjoy!

Full Flavor at Half Cost!…read more I have yet to experience anything negative from this establishment. Everything from customer service, pricing, portions, and quality has been nothing short of outstanding. Tucked next to the Eastern side of the food hall, you'll find this modest selling spot. I ordered the garlic noodles and the pork belly bao. I wanted something different from their iconic dan dan noodles (try those if you haven't) and boy was I surprised. There isn't seating with them, so you must find a spot in the general area, no problems there. The garlic noodles will have real chopped garlic with a delicious flavoring that will have you satisfied with a stinky breath (not sorry) and the pork belly bao is insanely tender, you'll think you're not even chewing over how soft it is. It's garnished with a mustard topping on a steamed bun. Both of these items were on happy hour and I was fulfilled while not breaking the bank. The owner really does take pride in his work and the quality he produces for us, always happy to support those who bring the passion to the kitchen. YUM

Heads up: Misleading pricing, bad value, and hygiene concerns!…read more I walked into Jojo's Kitchen inside Haven City Market and ordered the House Special, but the total came out to a shocking $21. The posters on the wall only show images of the food. Sneakily, they only list price tags for the small, cheap side items--the actual price for the House Special is completely missing from the posters. You don't find out the real cost until the transaction is complete and it's already too late. The real kicker is that my card statement showed the charge under "DoorDash." They are running their walk-up register through a DoorDash POS system and forcing in-person customers to pay inflated app-delivery prices without warning. They need to put a tag on the register letting people know. If they were transparent, I could have placed a pickup order through my own DoorDash account to use a discount, or just ordered their $6.25 mini bowls separately to save nearly $9. Don't get me wrong, the Taiwanese sausage is actually good, but the popcorn chicken is way too dry and the rice is not good at all. To make matters worse, I paid $21 just to get half an egg! Most places give you a whole egg, and other restaurants would even provide a free drink with a combo at this price point. Getting a half-egg and no drink for a premium price is ridiculous. If you do eat here, I recommend just ordering the small snacks or trying their noodles instead of the main bowls. The owner's attitude itself was okay, but I noticed a major hygiene issue. He was sweating heavily from his forehead while packaging my food. He really needs to wear a sweat-absorbing headband because it looked like sweat could easily drip right into the customer's food. Also, there was a younger guy in the back (maybe the owner's kid or nephew), and when I asked him a question, he walked over in slow motion acting like a gangster and talked to me like he was rapping, just saying, "Yeah." Between the hidden app pricing, the poor value, and the sweat issue, it was a very frustrating experience.

Dish Improvement: Needs more Anise, a slight bit more rock sugar, cinnamon cloves, fennel, maybe velvet the chicken wings and thighs before stir frying....baking soda + starch? Needs some Ghost Pepper Powder for the kick, and probably some oyster sauce rather than just regular and dark soy sauce. Mung Bean Smoothie: perfect, made to my specs, 20% sugar. Just right. This is my second time here. I drove my rig into the plaza after coming back from my Sacramento dispatch trip. Last time I had the beef tripe noodles (B+) not bad, but worth an order. I had their lamb skewers the first time around...not on my recommend list, you'll do better at any of those skewer places in City of Industry along Gale Ave and Frank and Sons. I had there Rou Jia Mou Meat Hamburgers from what I remember, maybe because I was too full, I didn't finish it, and disregarded packing my bun togo...so that being said, the Rou Jia Mou was pretty mediocre. Nice interior though, very cafe like. Last thoughts: to be honest, for the last two times in the plaza, I was prioritizing the buffet place next door, but somehow always end up here at Changan.... probably the overall menu, vibe here feels more authentic....at least that's the vibe you get seeing a bunch of random Chinese FOBs popping in here at Ontario, CA when most of these folks predominantly live in Chino, Eastvale, Chino Hills, Maybe Rancho, and see definitely more East Los Angeles. Think I had their pot stickers last time, was pretty good from memory. Why the three stars? Because I feel I can make better 大盤雞 Da Pan Ji at home minus the hand pulled noodles and the overall quality of food is probably comparable to say Hong Kong Macau Restaurant Cafe in Rowland Heights, you get off work, you don't know what to eat, you find a place that serves local, street culture Chinese food but it's not that great, but hey, we say that about McDonalds, and we still pick up a Quarter Pounder every now and then.
