In a word: Inconsistent. Both the food and the service had their highs and lows when a grjoup of us recently visited for dinner. One example: we sat outside and were promptly provided with pitchers of cold water without ice. The water quickly became warm and when we asked for ice, the server gave us a few glasses of ice with some spoons. Eventually the server realized this wasn't very effective, so she finally gave us a bucket filled with ice. Kapow is a great place to try a variety of items and share the tapas and sushi. With that in mind, we ordered several items from the small plates menu: charred edamame, ribs, General Tso's cauliflower, brussels sprouts and bang bang shrimp. These items were generally tasty. The spice level varied and was not always as spicy as we expected. For example, the cauliflower did not have much heat despite the description. The shrimp packed a punch though. From the large sushi menu, we had a shrimp tempura roll, which was a nice size and delicious. We also had a few drinks, including a refreshing blueberry lavender mojito, from the extensive cocktail/wine/sake drink menu. Drink options are a high point. One of the lows was my wagyu burger. It was not tender despite supposedly being made with quality beef and cooked to medium temperature. The house pickles were missing from the plate altogether and the house-made kettle chips were actually bland fries that did not appear to be house-made. They came with a spicy ketchup, which I found to be unnecessarily overly spicy. My wife had the Chinatown Caesar salad with grilled chicken. It was an enjoyable twist on Caesar salad with the inclusion of pear slices, wonton noodles and a flavorful Asian Caesar dressing. A high point! Our group ordered a couple of Peking Duck dinners, which is a Kapow specialty and is meant to be shared. The crispy duck comes with cucumbers, scallions, hoisin sauce and vegetable fried rice as well as thin "pancakes" in which to wrap all the ingredients. The fried rice wasn't particularly flavorful but combined with the duck, cucumbers and sauce, the overall combination of items was delicious. Unfortunately, the server misunderstood our order and delivered only one Peking duck dinner rather than the two which we had requested. We had to wait 20 minutes for the second dinner to be prepared. Definitely a low point. As compensation for the miscue, the manager gave us a $25 gift card, which was a nice gesture even though it didn't come close to covering the $85 price of the dish. Would I return to Kapow? Possibly, especially with a group that is interested in sharing several small plates and sushi items. We'd also ask the server to repeat the order back to us to ensure everything is correct! read more

KAPOW is one of those places our family (and friends) keep coming back to. It's always such a great spot for lunch -- stylish, cozy, and the lunch deals are really good. This time we ordered edamame, Wild Mushroom Chow Fun, braised short rib, wagyu potstickers, green tea, and for the kids the Vegetable Lo Mein Bowl. Everything was delicious, fresh, and came out really fast. A few small things disappointed us this visit. They changed the menu and removed my kids' favorite grilled cheese. It used to come on this amazing soft airy rice bread grilled to perfection, and now it's just a regular multigrain sandwich. The kids were genuinely upset since we always ordered it for them. My green tea was also served with water that didn't seem hot enough, and the foam on top was a little off-putting. I know green tea is brewed at a lower temperature, but this just didn't feel right. Also, the restroom used to have a beautiful chandelier, and now it looks like something happened to it -- only hanging wires are left, which takes away from the otherwise polished aesthetic. I loved my experience at Kapow noodle bar. I had only been to their West Palm Beach location several years ago, but never tried their Boca location. I came here for a birthday party event where we rented a karaoke lounge room. It was a very fun experience. They have the karaoke iPad on the wall and you're able to add in songs to sing karaoke and also have the ability to order food to the room and drinks. There's a server that comes in throughout the night to check on you and take your orders and whatever you need. It was a lot of fun! Not sure if renting the karaoke room is an additional cost (maybe the host paid for this?), but we all split the food/drink check at the very end. It was a lot of fun. I absolutely love this place! This has been my new go to spot specially on Thursdays! Thursday are ladies night, where you get half off sushi and drinks which is a plus since I'm a huge sushi fanatic. Kapaow offers a daily happy hour from 4 to 7 where you can find a great selection of delicious bites/snacks and half off drinks, including premium spirits, sake, and signature cocktails. My go to is the Madai Seabream, all their sashimis, hamachi roll and their California roll in which they use real crab! From the HH you must order the carrot and mushroom dumplings, wings & their tacos. They will not disappoint. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, with a down to earth vibe that makes you want to stay. Inside can get a little louder but there's plenty of outdoor seating for a much quieter experience. The service is consistently excellent and the servers are attentive, friendly and are willing to make modifications to the dishes. 5 Stars for a fun bar and delish short rib gyoza tacos! I met a friend at the bar for some light bar bites and drinks before a work dinner. The bartender was friendly and helped my friend pick an N/A mocktail while I got a simple gin martini. Both were great- I appreciated that the mocktail was thoughtful and had cute accoutrements. The short rib gyoza tacos came recommended and it was super flavorful. I actually ended up ordering seconds because it was addictive! The vibe is fun, and this would be a good spot for a group. On Sunday evening at 6:30 PM, I brought my Restaurant group - 9 neighbors from Valencia Sound in Boynton Beach to Kapow for dinner. We sat outside under an umbrella as the sun was disappearing and the temperature got a bit cooler. I like eating outside on the plaza because it's quieter than inside and in this way, we could all talk since we are getting to know each other. We started with drinks and appetizers and everybody was happy. Paul had a mai tai, which was absolutely delicious. We especially loved the Wok Charred edamame and Char SIU Chinatown Ribs which fell off the bone. Others had the bang bang tempura shrimp And the General Tso's cauliflower.. We also ordered entrées. Paul and I shared the Peking duck which was our favorite from the last time we had come. I told everyone about it and one of the other ladies got it and decided she would bring home her leftovers. Honestly, the three of us could've eaten from the one entree, and it would've definitely been enough. It comes with a delicious rice bowl and vegetables and very soft duck with fried skin. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding when we ordered and they only bought one of these entrées out. We had to wait a while longer to get the second one, but they made it up to me with a credit on my bill. Unfortunately, they were understaffed last night, but these things happen and we understand. One of the neighbors ordered a Wagyu hamburger and he was dissatisfied. He claimed it was chewy but never told the waiter that he was dissatisfied. I'm sure they would've offered him something else if he had said something. Another neighbor ordered the Pad Thai and loved it. Her husband had the sushi tuna poke bowl . That was delicious as well. We were all satisfied and enjoyed our evening. I am looking forward to returning and trying the Wagyu tomahawk steak. I heard that it melts in your mouth and the flavor is amazing. As far as parking is concerned, there are four garages that are free within the complex. There is also metered parking on the street and valet parking. This was our first time at the Boca's Kapow location. It's conveniently located in Mizner Square downtown. The one in WPB (unfortunately closed) and Delray we have frequented. We came here for a late night dinner after the Boca Beer, Wine, and Spirits festival. My steak lo mein was delicious, a little salty but tasty. My husband really enjoyed his chicken sandwich. Monthly regular to Kapow. Staff is always great and place is always teaming to regulars and always seems busy which is great! The inside has a fun vibe and food has an Asian fusion inspiration. We have tried a good portion of the menu. Our most recent visit we tried some different dishes, including brussels sprouts, short rib, tacos, fried chicken sandwich. Overall, each dish had its positive notes however, nothing stood out flavor wise. Because food is consistent and they have a loyal base I see them to continue to expand. The parking was insane as it was peak hours and was there last night to celebrate early christmas with friends. We almost lost our table at Kapow but they were nice enough to accommodate us. We shared a few starters the pork belly bao buns, wok charred edamames (big bowl) and sushi rolls. Sushi rolls 8 small pieces each. All very delicious. Food here is really tasty. We also had the Shrimp pad thai we also shared and was plenty for the three of us. Best treat was the Ube cheesecake perfect texture not so sweet and lots of berry flavor. We have been to Kapow a few times, they have great ambience, great food, and good service. It can get a bit busy sometimes, so calling ahead is recommended. They have a nice selection of cocktails, beers, and wines. A full menu with many asian starters and dishes. Some of the dishes are on the smaller size, so ordering a few items is often required, which may result in a higher bill, but each dish is very tasty. We walked in a random Tuesday for their happy hour. When you first walk in it is like walking into an Asian comic book store slash a different world other than mizner park. We decided to sit at the bar which wasn't overcrowded. They do have different events throughout the week and they also have an outdoor patio area. Their happy hour menu is definitely worth a try. They have many items for like $5 - $10 or so off. Food: I tried their fried chicken bun. It was more bun then chicken but the chicken was good. The Wagyu steak tacos are mini fried tacos. But that steak was soo good! It's definitely a hit. We also tried their wings. We did honey with the hot on the side and they also gave us one without any sauce. Honestly, with our without sauce it was still delicious. The wings were crispy and the sauce was very tasty. The hot wasn't too bad. The happy hour menu wings are about 6 while the actual menu brings 10 I believe. I only gave it a 4 star because of the buns. We plan to go for brunch one day so maybe my review will change to a 5 star. The customer service was 5 stars. The bartender was so nice and friendly. He helped me pick a mocktail and all. This is easily one of my favorite go to spots. The service has always been great. I am a little bummed out that the Sakura roll has been taken off the menu!!! My bf and I used to go out of our way to stop by here sometimes just to get this. It was such a delicious roll! I also asked if they still make it, and the answer is no. My wild mushroom pad tai was so flavorful! I topped it with the Korean short rib. Omg! DELICIOUS!! My guest ordered the same dish with blackened chicken. Kapow's version of blackened chicken is to add the 7 seasoning spice. If you like SPICY- have at it, however, it was soooo spicy that we needed to return it for plain chicken, and we do like spice. They were busy, but the server did take care and did a pretty good job of checking on us. He was also very friendly, which made up for the times that he was running around to other tables. It's not that I don't like Kapow anymore, it's just not the same. I miss the old "smaller" location. It was more quaint and nice to sit for a drink at the bar or grab a happy meal or sit at a table and grab dinner in a place where we had great ambiance and we could chat and people watch outside. The new location is tucked away from all the sidewalk traffic so no more people watching and the layout is much larger. It's difficult to get an outside table without a reservation and if you dare eat inside then good luck having a conversation (maybe I'm getting old but it was way too loud for us). We were hungry so we gave the appetizer order with our drink order. We received our appetizers first. Then the drinks and then had to ask if we could have some water. Our first appetizer was the General Tso's Cauliflower. Pleasantly surprised. It wasn't fried and it had a great flavor. Loved it. Next was the Tuna Tartare Crispy Rice, this was ok. The rice was a little mushy compared to crispy and the tuna and flavors were all very good. Then we had the Samurai Crab Rangoon I would recommend these. They weren't overly fried. The sauce was really good and we devoured them. Then we got the Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries. This was just that. Nothing spectacular. We would not get it again. It was not good. From 1-10 I'd give it a 4. Then we got the Five Vegetable Fried Rice and added chicken. (Big mistake to add chicken). The chicken was not edible. It was chewy and tasted like it was reheated and toss in. It was not cooked fresh. I picked it out and told them it was not good. The rice itself was good. Nothing extraordinary. Wasn't impressed with the main meals. The appetizers were good. I wouldn't go back. I wouldn't tell people to go there unless they were doing just apps and drinks. read more

KAPOW has been in Miznerf Park for close to 10 years, and loved to this larger and much more attractive space a few years back. Large outdoor eating, both adjacent to outdoor bar, and their space next to Max's. Wait staff are usually spot on, efficient and pleasant,able to explain the menu if necessary, and follow-up as needed. All are quite young. And the bartenders are also attentive, no matter how busy it gets. And now, the food. Well, I love their special sushi plates, and they recently expanded their sushi offerings exponentially. And have several top notch sushi makers. And they also switched out their executive chef, with more creative offerings. Love their dumplings, the pad thai is good, not like you get in other Asian style places. Their salads are fab, all fresh healthy ingredients, to which you add your protein(s), Their version of Vietnamese chicken wings is unlike any other wings you've had. I could go on and on describing various offeriungs, but you should look at posted pics and check their menu. One point to be made, which while I understand, still find it bothersome. When last there, in January 2025, I noticed several changes in the menu offerings, higher prices, items missing, and smaller portions. When I brought to attention of our server, she looked at me and said "WELL, WE CHANGED OUR MENU WHEN SEASON STARTED..." And I looked at her and stated "SO, YOU'VE Dropped CERTAIN OFFERINGS, DROPPED OTHERS, AND MADE SOME PORTION SIZES SMALLER?? And see said "yes, its season". This was our second visit, and while the restaurant consistently delivers great food, the overall experience varies depending on how you book. Our first visit was in a private karaoke room for six (Karaoke Room 1), and although the space was definitely cramped, with the table taking up most of the room and leaving little space to move around, the actual karaoke setup was pretty nice. They had a HUGE song selection, and the audio quality was great aside from the occasional microphone feedback when the mics were too close together. The $300 minimum for two hours in Karaoke Room 1 was easy to meet between six people. What really made the experience memorable, though, was the staff. Our coordinator and server were incredibly attentive, helpful, and even joined in on karaoke, which made the night especially fun! For our second visit, we opted for a regular dining reservation for eight, and this is where the experience fell a bit short. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy, service was noticeably slow. It took about 30 minutes just to receive half of the drinks we ordered, and a few were forgotten entirely. Our appetizer didn't arrive until an hour after being seated. The food itself, again, was absolutely delicious which helped make up for some of the delays. During this visit, we ordered the Char Sui Pork Bao Bun, the Wagyu Beef Potstickers, and the Wild Mushroom Chow Fun with an 8oz steak... all three dishes were amazing. Overall, this place excels in food quality and has a fun, lively atmosphere, especially for karaoke groups, but the regular dining service needs improvement. Justin, one of the managers is always making sure your time there is up to par and in the odd case it is not- he will do what he has to in order to make it so. Paul, one of the owners makes you feel right at home whenever you are there as well. As long as he has a hand, everything will be great. Hopefully you go at a time where either Jose, Mike, or Nolan are bartending, and you won't have to worry about a thing when it comes to your liquid courage. Full price, not happy hour. Also your iced green tea tasted like it came from a fountain, not a fan. However, the service was slow, one diner did not her the entree she ordered, the waitress never returned to check on whether anything was needed or done accommodation was required m, additional beverages were wanted, etc. Some of the entrees ( there were 8 of us), were served cold and the serving pieces ( plates, spoons), were not adequate. Prices were ok and most of my table mates were satisfied with the taste and quantity of food provided. The side of the restaurant is extremely noisy. i received carry out last Wednesday from Kapow Noodle bar . I have eaten there many many times and was never unhappy with the taste of the food but the last few times I noticed a change in the quality. I felt like they were skimping on the protein and stuffing it with inexpensiveitems. After a year I thought I would try it again. Wednesday I ordered and walked from the back through the kitchen and should have turned around and left when I saw the filthy kitchen but I didn't. I ordered duck fried rice and bbq ribs. the duck fried rice tasted ok but there was about 1/2 the duck they use to give. i took a bite of the rib and the sauce had an unusually sour taste. I ate the rest of one rib and I literally could not stomach eating anymore. It just did not taste right. I ate a little bit of the duck fried rice but the taste of the rib spoiled my appetite. About six hours later, I woke up from a sound sleep with a stomach ache and I literally had to run to the bathroom. The only other time I felt like that and had that type of issue (without being graphic.) was when I had food poisoning five years ago. The next day I called the restaurant and spoke with a manager. He was supposed to have someone call me back. After he "investigated.". I'm not sure how they could really investigate but I called two other times because nobody was calling me back.. Finally , late that evening a girl who claimed to be a general manager, called me back. She was not really worried about me. She was just very defensive. she basically treated me like I was lying.. I offered to bring the food back when I was physically able to make the drive to the Restaurant, but that was not an option. I requested that she take the food items and throw them away because they were spoiled. And then I requested my money back because I did not want to pay.$50 for food poisoning. Again, she was very defensive and said there's nothing wrong with their food. she said, "we check our food many times during the day." obviously she doesn't know much about food poisoning if she thinks you can just look at the food and see it. Obviously, you can't see E. coli. I told her I was going to call the health department. And her response was. "Go ahead and call". Needless to say, I won't be going there again. You can make you own educated decision But I will tell you I was surprised at how I was treated. Food poisoning can be devastating to children and elderly people. read more

Had a nice lunch here today. We had the tuna tartare crispy rice as well as Korean chicken bao buns as appetizers. Lunch was the mushroom chow fun. All food was very good. Would definitely return. This is a nice dining spot in Mizner Park. read more

Great atmosphere and fantastic food. We enjoyed the sushi, edamame and a duck bowl. Love ok forward to returning.

MY NEW FAVORITE SPOT....to bad I don't live in Florida...yet! Absolutely loved everything about this place. From the pop art decor to the live DJ playing pop classics mixed with house style beats to the service, food, and drinks. I got the "what's new pussycat" (Tiki Infused Toki Whiskey, Leblon Cachaca, Pineapple, Avocado Rice Orgeat, Banana Bitters) I even got to take the maneki-neko cup home. Next tried the magyu beef potstickers, lychee martini, Jasmine Rice & Quinoa Congee jasmine rice, tri-color quinoa, black garlic puree, pickled carrots, scallions, poached egg, and blackened shrimp. The congee was spectacular one of the most surprising innovated dishes I have had in a long time. After stuffing ourselves we were going to leave but then torrential down pour so we re seated ourselves at the bar to wait for the rain to pass. Bartender was well versed in the world of sake so my husband I shared a bottle of nigori and got to watch the most interesting multi media projection over a hand painted mural . Super cool! read more
