EMILY was an excellent server. We met for a charity event and the service was way beyond perfection. Our drinks were strong and our food was hot. A GREAT CELEBRATION was enjoyed by all of the guests and everyone was happy even after happy hour was complete. SUPPORT LOCAL

Went for a private so there was a set menu. Started with a house salad and for entrees, a choice of salmon, pasta ala vodka , or roasted chicken. There were good. Need to return and try their regular menu.

Visited multiple locations, but this one being right in our backyard. Had a special family gathering, and the business along with the staff accommodated adequate seating arrangement's. Food took a bit longer than expected but was worth the wait. Chiara the waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly.

The restaurant has many great reviews, so perhaps we visited on an off day, as our experience did not match what we had expected. Our server was pleasant during the few interactions we had, but she was absent throughout the meal, and the obvious upselling while placing our order was off-putting. Unfortunately, our food took close to forty-five minutes, if not longer, to arrive and was cold when it did. Given the long wait, we did not mention it to the staff. The restaurant was not very busy at the time, so it is possible they were short-staffed. The space itself is open and offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside and perhaps the service would have been better indoors.

Love this place! The outdoor seating is perfect for people-watching and it's located right in Mizner Park. The inside is just as great--very clean with wonderful service. The smash burgers are so juicy you'll need two napkins, especially on the pretzel bun. And the sides? Absolutely to die for. The shrimp cakes were packed with flavor, and the truffle mac and cheese was so cheesy I could've eaten the whole thing. Highly recommend!

Location in Mizner is quite beautiful with indoor and outdoor seating. We went here for brunch and very much enjoyed the cheesy biscuits. I opted for breakfast. The eggs Florentine were quite good, but I especially loved the side breakfast potatoes. My husband was pleased with his burger. Our daughter enjoyed her poke. It was a generous portion, and the salmon was very fresh. Almost 5 stars, but our server was not all that attentive. We had to ask her for items more than once and the restaurant wasn't too busy. That said, I'd definitely come back.

Writing a review solely to appreciate how amazing the sauce is with the potato wedges. It is an absolutely fantastic dish and we were raving about the sauce to the waitress. She had mentioned that it is extremely popular and she was able to provide us with an additional side of it as we had gone through it already. Anyone who goes to American social knows it is a solid place to watch sports games and has competitively priced apps and entrees. This is a perfect place for a casual laid-back dinner out or a day game afternoon drinking and snack session. Absolutely get the potato wedges and the amazing sauce!

Visited American Social on a Saturday night, and it was definitely a lively and packed place. The bar was crowded, with gusts sitting elbow to elbow at the bar, and it took about 5-7 minutes for a bartender to take our orders. Not bad considering how busy it was. Most of the tables in the bar area are marked reserved, so unless you snag a seat at the bar, you're likely going to be standing around with your drink in hand. The crowd was a mix, some older guests, and some even in their 20s, giving the place and young, high energy vibe. If you're heading here for drinks and music and a very social atmosphere, you'll have a great time. Just don't expect a quiet night or easy seating. This spot is all about the buzz and the Boca nightlife.

Review after three visits. First, our server. Brooke was awesome, just as outstanding as the food! This was our second time having her as our server. She was personable, professional, efficient and had an upbeat positive attitude. She engaged in some small talk as well, and clearly was not hesitant to do so. Management should recognize her, most deserving and an excellent representative for American Social. We were there for lunch, and had been there a few weeks earlier for dinner. Our friend had a crush goat cheese salad, and finished every last morsel. I had a West Coast Salmon Bowl and it was delicious. The salmon was cooked as requested, well done, and the portion size was more than I could eat. The salad was comprised of all healthy foods, and I decided to have the dressing on the side to enjoy all the natural flavors. I took half home to enjoy the next day. My husband had the Santa Fe Turkey Club, on sour dough bread. And he also took half home as it was a hefty portion even for a growing man! The vibe was pleasing and we were not rushed at lunch time. Strongly endorse and recommend it to anyone. You won't be disappointed

This was my first time at American Social and it was decent. My friends and I met for happy hour. They have a handful of bar bites and drinks available for happy hour. We went with goat cheese balls, spinach dip and a chicken quesadilla. The goat cheese ball were paired with a sweet sauce and they were delicious. The spinach dip was nothing special. Our waitress was kind enough to bring us chips and pita, and the pita was actually my favorite part of our meal. It was warm and tasty. The quesadilla was a little disappointing as it was really greasy. Throughout the three hours we were there, we had great service. Unfortunately, a DJ started playing incredibly loud music at 7 and it was really hard to hear. I understand playing music if it's later in the night or on a weekend, but this was just really annoying. The food was decent, but I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. There are better places for happy hour.

Excellent food and service! Our server was prompt and attentive. She delivered food and drinks quickly. The hibiscus mule was okay. The espresso martini was great! The Cobb salad was delicious. The Mac and cheese was out of this world! SO cheesy! My husband loved his brisket sandwich. Next time he said he would try the fries instead of wedges, but he did enjoy the spicy mayo that came with the wedges.

We stopped here twice in 2 days and had drastically different experiences so I split the difference and gave the 3 stars. Day 1 we sat at the bar. The bartender was wonderful, fun and energetic. We ordered drinks and an appetizer my drink was a fog city-whistlepig piggyback 6 year rye, fruitful mission fig liqueur, amaro nonino, vanilla cherry bark bitters, filthy cherry. I loved it we shared the goat cheese croquettes they were tasty not a huge fan of the chili and guava glaze. Now for day 2 - enjoyed our fist visit so we went back. Saw cute outdoor seating and requested a spot outside for an afternoon cocktail and bite. I went with a classic espresso martini and shrimp cakes. All of the food and drinks were good the issues we had were service related. We were sat but no one came to take our order for over 15 min nut servers passed us helping other tables. I even contemplated leaving before ordering. Once our server showed she did her best with the situation , apparently the system was down so they were manually taking orders and having lots of issues with the payment system as well.

Stopped in for lunch at American Social and overall had a decent experience. I ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl and substituted lettuce instead of rice -- it was fresh, flavorful, and a solid lunch option. We sat outside under the fans, which was comfortable and a nice way to enjoy the afternoon. It was a bit difficult to flag down our waitress- not sure what she was doing since th place wasn't really busy. That said, I was a bit disappointed with the service. I found out by chance (while walking by the hostess stand) that they offer a buy 5 lunches, get 1 free lunch (M-F)-- something our server never mentioned. Since we had two meals, I asked to get the punches, which they did, but it felt like something that should've been offered upfront. Also worth noting: there are no lunch specials, and the prices are definitely on the steeper side for a midday meal. Food was good, ambiance was nice, but the lack of communication and value takes a few points off for me.

Maybe it's quieter outside but those tables are right next to the street. We had to yell to hear each other. Our server Sebastian was so pushy and constantly upselling us. As soon as we sat down, he asked whether we wanted still or sparkling water, but that question should always have 3 options: still, sparkling, or tap? He then recommended the signature omakase, the most expensive thing on the menu. When he came back to take our order, he made a big pitch of today's rib special. When my husband ordered the 8-piece nigiri, he pushed us to upgrade to the 12-piece option. As we were eating, he asked us what else we wanted to order. We ordered $130 of food for 2 people...seriously? We hadn't even finished yet to gauge if we were still hungry. I know that tips are a percentage of the bill, but you would've thought this kid was getting a commission on top of his tip or something. It rubbed us the wrong way. The tuna crispy rice was $5 per piece and the rice was weirdly chewy. Wouldn't order it again. The nigiri were the highlight of the meal. Each piece felt balanced and the sushi rice was good. We ordered 3 rolls: toro toro, scallop, and yellowtail. All were forgettable and expensive for what they were. The yellowtail roll was bland, which is probably why there's a chili ponzu sauce to go with it because otherwise all you can taste is pear, which isn't a flavor I'm looking for in sushi. We ended our meal with scallop tacos, which were good but microscopic and pricey ($17 for 2 tacos). Each one is a bite and a half. It took a while to flag down Sebastian for the bill, so we were stuck in the din of the restaurant for longer than we liked. If the restaurant's filling up, wouldn't you want to turn our table and seat new guests? My husband made a note on the res that it was my birthday, but it was ignored. Maybe we would've had a better experience with a different waiter, but this was a disappointing meal and service.

One example: we sat outside and were promptly provided with pitchers of cold water without ice. The water quickly became warm and when we asked for ice, the server gave us a few glasses of ice with some spoons. Eventually the server realized this wasn't very effective, so she finally gave us a bucket filled with ice. Kapow is a great place to try a variety of items and share the tapas and sushi. With that in mind, we ordered several items from the small plates menu: charred edamame, ribs, General Tso's cauliflower, brussels sprouts and bang bang shrimp. These items were generally tasty. The spice level varied and was not always as spicy as we expected. For example, the cauliflower did not have much heat despite the description. The shrimp packed a punch though. From the large sushi menu, we had a shrimp tempura roll, which was a nice size and delicious. We also had a few drinks, including a refreshing blueberry lavender mojito, from the extensive cocktail/wine/sake drink menu. Drink options are a high point. One of the lows was my wagyu burger. It was not tender despite supposedly being made with quality beef and cooked to medium temperature. The house pickles were missing from the plate altogether and the house-made kettle chips were actually bland fries that did not appear to be house-made. They came with a spicy ketchup, which I found to be unnecessarily overly spicy. My wife had the Chinatown Caesar salad with grilled chicken. It was an enjoyable twist on Caesar salad with the inclusion of pear slices, wonton noodles and a flavorful Asian Caesar dressing. A high point! Our group ordered a couple of Peking Duck dinners, which is a Kapow specialty and is meant to be shared. The crispy duck comes with cucumbers, scallions, hoisin sauce and vegetable fried rice as well as thin "pancakes" in which to wrap all the ingredients. The fried rice wasn't particularly flavorful but combined with the duck, cucumbers and sauce, the overall combination of items was delicious. Unfortunately, the server misunderstood our order and delivered only one Peking duck dinner rather than the two which we had requested. We had to wait 20 minutes for the second dinner to be prepared. Definitely a low point. As compensation for the miscue, the manager gave us a $25 gift card, which was a nice gesture even though it didn't come close to covering the $85 price of the dish. Would I return to Kapow? Possibly, especially with a group that is interested in sharing several small plates and sushi items. We'd also ask the server to repeat the order back to us to ensure everything is correct!
