I stopped by American Social for happy hour and left happy overall. The happy hour runs from 2-7 p.m., and I liked that you can sit anywhere instead of being limited to the bar area. We ordered the Goat Cheese Croquettes with red chili guava glaze and the Ancho Chicken Quesadilla with onion, poblano, cheddar, crema, and guacamole. Both were good, but I found myself wishing the happy hour menu included a few healthier options, like a fresh salad or lighter appetizers. For drinks, I had the Cucumber Fizz made with Ketel One Botanical Cucumber & Mint Vodka, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, lemon, lime, mint, cucumber, and club soda. It was light, refreshing, and perfect for a warm afternoon. Others in our group enjoyed the Smoke Signals cocktail, while another ordered an Old Fashioned. One of the guys also had the burger, which looked like a satisfying choice. The atmosphere is lively, making it a great spot to meet friends after work or kick off an evening out. Outstanding hospitality and customer service. Attended a pre wedding event here. It was in the patio area a db it was closed off for the event. The inside looked very spacious and I did walk through for the restroom. They had two dedicated bar tenders working the event so the line for drinks never got too long. The staff kept the area clean and never let an empty glass or bottle linger on a table for long. The food they provided was good too. They only had appetizers for the event. Poke l spoons, turkey with pesto half sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, and pork sliders. They were all generous portions and actually filled me up to the point where I wasn't hungry. While visiting on vacation, we looked for a dinner spot in Boca Raton with a menu that looked good. American Social checked the boxes and put the address in gps. What we didn't realize was how awesome the location is! Located in a beautiful outdoor mall, we were seated at a great booth overlooking the center of the shopping district - kind of like cozy seating at a sidewalk cafe. The restaurant has many great reviews, so perhaps we visited on an off day, as our experience did not match what we had expected. Our server was pleasant during the few interactions we had, but she was absent throughout the meal, and the obvious upselling while placing our order was off-putting. Unfortunately, our food took close to forty-five minutes, if not longer, to arrive and was cold when it did. Given the long wait, we did not mention it to the staff. The restaurant was not very busy at the time, so it is possible they were short-staffed. The space itself is open and offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The eggs Florentine were quite good, but I especially loved the side breakfast potatoes. My husband was pleased with his burger. Our daughter enjoyed her poke. Visited American Social on a Saturday night, and it was definitely a lively and packed place. The bar was crowded, with gusts sitting elbow to elbow at the bar, and it took about 5-7 minutes for a bartender to take our orders. Not bad considering how busy it was. Most of the tables in the bar area are marked reserved, so unless you snag a seat at the bar, you're likely going to be standing around with your drink in hand. The crowd was a mix, some older guests, and some even in their 20s, giving the place and young, high energy vibe. If you're heading here for drinks and music and a very social atmosphere, you'll have a great time. Just don't expect a quiet night or easy seating. Writing a review solely to appreciate how amazing the sauce is with the potato wedges. It is an absolutely fantastic dish and we were raving about the sauce to the waitress. She had mentioned that it is extremely popular and she was able to provide us with an additional side of it as we had gone through it already. She was personable, professional, efficient and had an upbeat positive attitude. She engaged in some small talk as well, and clearly was not hesitant to do so. The salad was comprised of all healthy foods, and I decided to have the dressing on the side to enjoy all the natural flavors. I took half home to enjoy the next day. This was my first time at American Social and it was decent. My friends and I met for happy hour. They have a handful of bar bites and drinks available for happy hour. We went with goat cheese balls, spinach dip and a chicken quesadilla. The goat cheese ball were paired with a sweet sauce and they were delicious. The spinach dip was nothing special. Our waitress was kind enough to bring us chips and pita, and the pita was actually my favorite part of our meal. It was warm and tasty. The quesadilla was a little disappointing as it was really greasy. Throughout the three hours we were there, we had great service. Unfortunately, a DJ started playing incredibly loud music at 7 and it was really hard to hear. I understand playing music if it's later in the night or on a weekend, but this was just really annoying. The food was decent, but I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. I loved it we shared the goat cheese croquettes they were tasty not a huge fan of the chili and guava glaze. Now for day 2 - enjoyed our fist visit so we went back. Saw cute outdoor seating and requested a spot outside for an afternoon cocktail and bite. I went with a classic espresso martini and shrimp cakes. All of the food and drinks were good the issues we had were service related. We were sat but no one came to take our order for over 15 min nut servers passed us helping other tables. I even contemplated leaving before ordering. Once our server showed she did her best with the situation , apparently the system was down so they were manually taking orders and having lots of issues with the payment system as well. read more

I had a rservation at 8pm. we didn' get seated til 8:15. They sat us at a small 2 top right under a speaker where we coun't not even talk unless we screamed. then we order an app and drinks....it took 40 min to get the app and when your drink was gone it would take 15 min minimum before anyone would notice. Amelia's Courtyard was the perfect venue to host our bridal welcome party of 50+ guests. After my previous experience at the AMSO bar, I left disappointed because of the service. However, I was reached out to via Yelp by the general manager and asked to give it another chance. The way they handled the situation was very professional, and I truly appreciated the effort--so I decided to return and see if things had improved. This time we sat outside, our servers name was Sophia and she was very happy, friendly, and attentive. Total difference from last time! We got the Bbq Tacos for appetizers which were super delish and tasty! My only note is that I wish they came out a little hotter. For entrees we got the Steak Fried Rice and skirt steak. The fried rice was extremely flavorful and the portion size was perfect. The Skirt steak came out cooked just as I asked and I got it with a size of spicy potato wedges. Note that this entree does not come with a side and the potato's were $7 extra so the total came out to about $40 for this entree. A little pricey but the taste was definitely there so it wasn't a huge problem... The drinks came out fast and they all tasted amazing. I recommend the Spicy Guava Rita (perfect amount of spice), Tiki Rita, and the Smoky Piña Rita. They also gave us 2 complimentary drinks which I thought was a very nice touch! You can tell they genuinely care about your experience by the way they handled this situation. We checked in on by our Server and the GM of the restaurant to make sure everything was going well and it was! We'd been here once before. This time we came to join a group of yelp friends for brunch. Thank you to Patty W. for organizing! We all ordered off their menu -- and got something different. Considering that we were a dozen folks with all various requests, I thought they did a great job of serving us. As we were a group, they did add in a 20 percent tip on our individual bills, but that was expected. We were there on a Sunday. They didn't have unlimited mimosas, but they were offered at a very reasonable price. A number of the group ordered some of those. Plus, they had a special mimosa with passion fruit and other tropical juices. My husband had one of their Bloody Mary's. It came with an olive stuffed with a hot pepper and one stuffed with a tiny pickle. It was a very good Bloody Mary (I stole a sip). I'd come back for just one of these -- and I'm not much of a drinker. We sat inside near the front bar. They also have outside seating, but it was a brutally hot and humid day. They have another large room that was full of folks, as well. And a baby shower was going on in their back private room -- all at the same time. For our meals, my husband and I decided to order a couple appetizers and share. We got their creamy deviled eggs which were quite good. There were six halves in the order. And we shared their Nashville hot fried chicken sliders. They sliders weren't very "hot" (spicy) which I was glad to find. They came with a touch of hot honey on them but were rather dry. We both got some additional regular honey and that helped a lot. The biscuits were good -- crusty on the outside and soft inside. There were three sliders in the order. Our friends got all sorts of other options. From a tuna poke bowl to a burger, from salmon eggs benedict to waffles topped with fruity pebbles. They have a wide menu for brunch whether you wish a more lunch type offering or something more breakfast like. A good time was had by all.
