Over the…read moreyears, water on the door sill from the rain apparently wicked up and helped rot the bottom of the door frame. I didn't just need a door replaced - I wanted the frame, sill, and trim rebuilt like new, before the damage got worse. I found Cameron Home Improvement at the Rochester Home Show this year. The sales process was simple. They helped me pick out a door by Milliken which was a steel entry door with a full length window pane but had mini-blinds *inside* the two panes of glass. I was very impressed by the installers - they really knew what they were doing. They put down drop cloths before they started so it didn't make a mess. The door and all the trim is really nice - the work looks sharp, it looks like new construction. This door is really nice. The blinds can be raised and lowed, and even tilted, by a slide on the inside side of the door. The blinds never bang when you open and close the door because they are mounted inside the glass. If you need any work like this, I strongly recommend Cameron.

I called several times to follow up on receiving an estimate, with assurances from the customer service representative that he would get to the estimate, that he was working on the estimate, and that the estimate was completed and should have been sent out. I additionally emailed Nick about the estimate, and he told me that he was working on the estimate that morning. I still to this day have not received the estimate. I get the fact that the job I was requesting was not an easy job, and not as profitable as other summer work; therefore, I understand the fact that a lot of contractors will pass on this type of work. However, consistently leading me on and then never giving me an estimate is terrible customer service. This isn't dating, this is getting work done at my house. Either send out an estimate, or say "Look, we are not interested in doing the work."
