My bathroom remodel was started on May 18, 2026 and completed on May 22, 2026 by Sean and Tony who I call the dynamic duo. Sean and Tony were great to work with. They were very professional and efficient. They showed up on time every day and went right to work. They answered my questions along the way and were very polite when I was not sure of the process of some of the steps they were taking. They were very neat and tidy and cleaned up after themselves each day. Sean and Tony did an excellent job with my bathroom remodel and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. I was truly impressed with the way Sean and Tony worked so well together. I commend this dream team for a job well done. I think they should get a raise!!! The sales rep Chris that we met with was very nice. My house has needed the bathroom redone for over 10 years, since it was haphazardly repaired back then. I have lived with this bathroom for a long time and was extremely excited to have it redone. We had it in contract that they would demo the shower and tub area, put in a new window, take out a steam trap/put in an exhaust fan, new floor, put in a new sink (purchased by us) , a medicine cabinet (purchased by us) a toilet paper holder/towel bar would be installed (purchased by us) and put in our old toilet that was in good shape. We also had in contract that the area outside the wet area would be finished to paint ready, and they would install new light sockets and a light fixture/mirror. They said all cracks and holes in the dry wall would be filled, fixed, and sanded. From time of talking to the sales rep to construction starting was several months which we knew about. We were originally told it would take 3 days. Then it was told by the construction manager that it would be 3-4 days. Which was fine. Originally the sales rep said the crew would rip everything out, sand the wall down and that way we could paint before they put everything back in. That was not told to us by the workers their first day, but I thought hey they are the professionals so I trusted them. 4 days later, they said they were done. I went in to the bathroom after they left. Only to find the door/doorway was installed crooked, the walls/ceiling still had cracks in it. They caulked around certain things and missed spots. The plug he had installed back in was my original old plug that wasn't working properly before and now it wasn't working at all. The toilet paper holder had what we thought was a hole above the fixture. So I called the construction manager at the office. I told him my concerns and he stated he would send the crew back to fix it. They come back to fix it and did a less than stellar job. This time there was still spots in the dry wall to fix, my gf pointed out another nail under the tp holder that hadn't been filled in AND the tp holder fell off the wall when I barely touched it. The door way was crooked, at this point I would've thought the manager in charge of construction would've wanted to show up and look at it at least. I called and complained again. The manager told me he would send a different crew. And proceeds to ask me if I'd be willing to release the other half of my payment to them in which I said no. So another week goes by not being completely done. The new crew shows up I go over everything with them. They start working and then when they go on lunch I go upstairs to look at what they had been working on. My door way looked worse than it did the first time. Which I didn't think was possible. AND the door knob they installed locked from the inside when it was closed. So the door was stuck locked with nobody in the bathroom. So they proceed to come up with a solution to the door way and knob issue. At the end of the day they fixed the door being crooked but now they used some construction caulk and merged my door frame for the bathroom with the one for my spare room. I thought at least it looked better than the first two options. They replaced the knob to one with a different locking mechanism. Everything else then looked okay in the bathroom that day. So I released the other half of the $22,000+ total to them. A week goes by, and now we have noticed they took off a small piece of trim/baseboard outside of my bathroom doorway andnever put it back. Then tonight we noticed part of the floor doesn't match up with the baseboards inside the bathroom. So water is getting underneath it. I am deeply disappointed in this company and their "quality" service. There is a significant lack in communication between their departments. I would never recommend them, as this has become another disappointment in having work done in my house. read more

Might be time to call one of the regulatory agencies, maybe the NY Attorney General. Obviously not concerned about correcting their mistakes. Products....i have zero issues for the most part with my windows. There were some parts that wore out that it took them : months to replace under warranty. And 15 mins to take care of once here. Now my sliding screen door has literally just fallen apart that's supposed to be covered under lifetime warranty as long as I own this house. They want to charge me $410 for $20 In aluminum/screen to make it and literally drop it in place. Really consider what you want and make sure you get it in writing and signed by them. These windows are very heavy, which makes them difficult to take apart and clean. Also removing the screens is harder than it should be. Keep this in mind if you're not a professional body builder, or, if you have to clean them on your own. read more

We were blessed when we bought our home 4 years ago that all the previous homeowners did an amazing job with maintenance and upgrades over the years. The only deficiency was that the home still had its original 30 year old windows. We knew from day one that we needed to replace them sooner than later. We saved up and finally called highly-recommended Comfort Windows last August. Our salesperson, Don, was very thorough and knowledgeable. He explained all our options in great detail without any pressure tactics. We chose the window line manufactured by Comfort Windows themselves in Syracuse. 20 windows, triple-paned, one layer of Low-E coating and argon filling. Our house is a traditional colonial so we stuck with the grids on the front but left them out in the rear. We even changed some windows to picture windows. Wow! What an amazing great decision. The light and views are just gorgeous. We also replaced a sliding door between the house and a sunroom addition. Comfort Windows are great quality and affordable. The craftsmanship is top notch. Great value for the product. Like many others acknowledged, our project was delayed by 3 months due to the pandemic. We were originally given a November installation time frame, but didn't get them installed until February. The real heroes of this project were Paul and Chris. Temperatures in the teens, thick snowpack, heavy lake effect snow, nothing stopped these guys. They were very professional, polite, COVID conscious, and did quality workmanship through some really tough weather conditions. A few other guys popped in here and there to lend a hand, but I didn't get to meet them. Paul and Chris were "our guys" and we welcomed them into our home like family. When all said and done, we absolutely love our new Comfort Windows. The energy efficiency ratings are spectacular and we can't wait until we stick it to RG&E. We used a thermometer to check the difference. While it was 12-degrees outside, our original double-paned windows averaged 40 degrees on the face. Imagine, that's like leaving multiple refrigerators wide open 24/7. The new Comfort Windows were 60 to 65 degrees on the face of the glass. What a difference! We actually had to turn down our thermostat because we were sweating at night. The windows are gorgeous and you can just tell that they were built to last well into the future. A great investment with no buyers remorse. You just can't beat Comfort Windows. Don't believe the hype of the overrated national brand. Lie after lie about installation time frame bec although they came to my property 3 times they counted another measurement Inhad no ideas about in the time frame equatio. There was absolutely no regard for the condition of the home during installation. Had to leave work to scramble to heat my house so my pipes did not freeze or my child! I would have never signed a contract had I known they would do it during the freezing cold and expressed that many times. The contractors left my home with open air dumping in for an hour and a half which ainundera needing a break but no tarp, blankets, or insulation and they insult me with a $150 "discount" as if that even covers my accruals or the 3 different heat sources I had to burn relentllesley for hours to mitigate damage to my house. Praying it holds up so I never have to deal with the company again. I will give credit to the contractor who did the job eventhough he could not feel his fingers because as I told he company it was windy due to the elevation. Paying cash also gets you no place. We just had a tub to shower conversion done. I do like the shower it looks very nice and the two guys who did the install were nice and professional and cleaned up their mess as they worked. What I wasn't happy with is they installed wrong base then the one we wanted. I kept all texts and emails about this. I spoke to someone at the showroom about the issue and they were supposed to get back to me with an answer to at least a discount off seeing they dropped the ball and definitely didn't want to have to wait for them to special order this part when our bathroom was already tore apart and the only bath in the house. They finished today and no call about what their solution was going to be. The other thing was the sales guy talked us in to six shelves which would have been great BUT he didn't bother to see if six shelves would actually fit and they don't. So they just left us this extra shelf because well we paid for it, and that we will never be able to use!! The sales guy definitely didn't do his job correctly. Seems like he only cared about the sale and definitely not the customer! I will NOT be using them for future projects and definitely won't refer them to my friends and family. He was rude , late to the appointment , brought coffee with him and proceeded to spill it on my dining room table , walked through my outside landscaping crush plants , asked too many personal questions "who is that guy living with you ", didn't explain the product , talked about himself the whole time . Had Comfort replace all my windows about 10 years ago. Since then the sun beating down on the house for over 10 years had damaged the weather striping on the bottom of the windows. causing them to get brittle and flake off. Called Comfort over 10 times to ask what weather striping they use and where i can purchase the strips, They refuse to help me and have been giving me a run around for over a month now. I have been transfered to someone that could help me but that person never calls back. I believe that they don't want to help because there is no money for them to make. so much for keeping a loyal custumer happy. I'm not sure where to start... The windows should have never been installed given what the installers saw when they started the job. They called the supervisors who said go ahead. Fast forward 6 months after I have contractors come it to replace trim and turns out the framing was so bad they had to tear the whole front of the house off to rebuild the framing etc. I was asked why the windows were ever installed and shown where they had basically "made it work". I was also told they would have to remove the windows to fix the rot. When I called comfort to ask someone to come out and take a look at how and why things were done I was told they were "too busy" and basically blown off. I was also told that the warranty would be void if the contractors removed the windows (basically leaving me with no choice). So not only did I void the warranty on the bottom windows but also had to pay for contractors to remove and re install the windows that should have never been out in in the first place. Now fast forward to now. A little over a year since the original installation and one of the upstairs windows that was never removed won't close. I have a 2 inch gap in my bedroom window letting in cold air. The room is freezing. I am going in 3 weeks waiting for them to even return my phone call and keep being told they are "very busy and backlogged". I'm sorry but I'm sure if someone calls to bug windows they don't take this long to return the call. Talk about poor customer service. I was told by the contractors to take the matter to small claims court but unfortunatmy at the time had a new baby and no time. Such a disappointment. If nothing else I hope this review steers you clear of a company that clearly just wants to make money, I know a number of my neighbors and family have gone elsewhere after hearing this horrible story! read more

We hadn't used them before so this was our first time; we had them replace a sliding door in our kitchen. The estimator was polite and professional and the price was reasonable. Had to wait a few months for fabrication - everything home improvement seems delayed post covid - but when they came out they arrived in a big truck and a pickup labeled with their company name, (which was great as the last contractor we used subcontracted our roof out to non-English speakers, which made communication impossible.) Comfort was the complete opposite - the communication was great, the workers explained everything as they went, did the work professionally and efficiently, cleaned up when they finished, and finished earlier than their estimated time. We ended up with a nice new sliding door with zero issues. At this point we have other projects lined up on our house, and we'll definitely be contacting them again! read more

Horrible experience with Comfort. Day 1 I had an installer steal all the cash out of my wallet. Then a different installer made a derogatory comment about where I live basically saying quality doesn't matter because it's 'only a fu(king trailer'. His exact words. Final day of install came with a broken window that has to be replaced. Not a word from anyone except the lead installer. Totally unprofessional by the installers and by management by not hearing a single thing from anyone from management about any of the issues! SCAM SCAM!!!!! paid for their "best windows" (double hung) after almost 2 years , a plastic broken piece fell out of the window track 3 weeks ago. Just got call back , now wont stay open. The $4 part might be covered under warranty but not labor. Use Anderson or another reputable installer. They are quick to cash a $7k check but not stand by their shotty work and product . I will NOT be using them for the back of my house or any other project . Had I known this I wouldve went elsewhere. They will NOT stand by their garbage product. They now leak air as well. We signed a contract with Comfort Window and Doors on May 19, with an estimated install date of 10-12 weeks, as of this review we are now at 18 weeks, with a partial install for the last 4 weeks with minimal communication. What information we do receive does not contain a new schedule or when the work will be completed. They apparently lost one window and when it was reordered it was ordered incorrectly. I work in construction and would not tolerate this from any contractor. I understand COVID restrictions but that does not forgive the lack of communication or accountability. We paid a deposit back in July 2021 for replacement of our windows. They promised to install by October/November. It is almost February! They do not respond to phone calls. There is no update on when the installation will take place. Response has been unprofessional after taking the deposit. Looking for two new windows to replace some older contractor windows. Don the salesman from Comfort came out and helped to explain the benefits of each of the various window series they sold. I made my choice and he added me to their schedule. He gave me an estimate of about 24+ weeks based on their current workload. I wasn't in a hurry, so I was fine with it. The installers, John and Jared, were great to work with and very professional. They came in an got right to work. They we happy to answer any questions I had or explain what they we doing as I checked in. When they were finished, they told everything about the windows and let me know that if there were any problems, I could always call Comfort to get assistance. I would definitely use Comfort again for any future needs and recommend them based on my experience. read more

Recently (and finally) installed new windows. We had Comfort come out and give us estimates for windows as well as roof and siding. They low balled the estimates and then mysteriously the numbers went up after we started signing paperwork. So, we split the jobs up. I'll say watch out for the up-sell and talk to different contractors. Our Windows took about 4 months to come in which is a month longer than originally told. However, once they arrived, the work went quickly. All the windows were done in 3-4 days. No complaints on the work or the quality of the product. read more

The install crew was EXCELLENT!! THAT is the only saving grace for this review. We had custom window treatments on our old windows that we should have been told would NOT FIT the new ones (if they know their product). The wrong deck door was ordered by the salesman (Corey)... another fiasco and delay with that. When it came time to get the date for install, we specifically mentioned what rooms had to be done first...We told several people this .. It was never communicated to the install crew. My wife had to take vacation due to their lack of communication . I requested compensation for that from Joe.. he said they don't normally do that. I replied .. no response from Joe, I replied again ... still no reply from Joe.. I called requesting a call back ... did not happen . My wife works with hippa and adjusted her schedule to the day we instructed Comfort's office to have it done . That not happening caused her to have to take vacation. Then the patio door came & was installed ... it was the wrong door .. Again, another lack of communication to the install crew. The install crew found the door & swapped it that day .. again THEY were great. There were also several other instructions I gave to pass along to the install crew that were not done. I did request to contact the install crew to give all this information to them, and I was told they do not do that. Well...maybe they should in light of situations like mine. read more

My bathroom was falling apart. My tub was starting to leak, the vanity detached from the wall, and the light fictures.. dont even get me started! It was definitely time for me to to start looking around for some upgrades! This wasn't the first option but I'm glad I did choose to go with comfort windows to redo our bathroom. 3 days after I call I have a nice man show up at my door. He was very friendly and showed us a wide range of ideas and endless possibilities that we get to choose from. Showed me how my bathroom would look on an app that he had on his tablet. Very cool to see the different back splashes before actually choosing one. As much as I like how my bathroom turned out and how friendly the workers were I honestly wish I went with some one else. My bathroom is big enough to fit a tub a vanity and toilet. 3 small people could fit in my bathroom with little space to move. The amount of money my boy friend and I dished out for this small bathroom was ridiculous. Of course you dont think of those things when everything is infront of you and looking amazing. I paid for the the sink, the flooring, and the medicine cabinet along with the light fixtures . Everything was already in the garage ready to go when they showed up. All they did was install what I bought and the tub. We purchased the tub and backsplash from them. 3 days and close to 6 and half thousand dollars later they finished. Again I'm happy with the bathroom but my bank account was not. I wouldn't normally complain about something I enjoy but after doing some much needed research I should have done before hand, we could have gotten the same bathroom for half that price. I went with this place because I was referred by a friend and of course I didnt ask her the price. Her bathroom was twice the size of mine so I can only imagine how much she dished out for it. Customer service is the worst, zero communication between sales, office people, installers. Our sales person (who was a giant jerk from the start) quit a few days after we gave a 50% deposit to replace 12 windows. Well our write up apparently was shuffled around for awhile till we called them... they even sent us e-mails explaining that the salesperson was gone but someone else replaced him and please feel free to call should we want to proceed with our project. Umm... hello? We thought we had already hired you??? Anyway it is day 2 of our install and I am so fed up that I just want it over already. We booked an appointment for a quote to remodel are bathroom. the date given was August 22, 2022 @ 6pm, three weeks after booking appointment. Well, the 22nd came and we received a phone call from the representative that was booked for the quote. Call and message came in at 5:15pm and I didn't see the call till shortly after 5:30pm. Representative explained he had a headache and didn't feel like driving so was cancelling the appointment and would like to reschedule at a time that was more convenient for him, and these times wouldn't work for our schedule. Called the office and spoke to someone that explained someone would call back. Didn't receive a call back so I called back again only to be told again that a manager would call me back. I purchased new storm doors two years ago that allegedly come with a lifetime warranty. We had problems last summer; first nice weather where we could use the screens and the windows wouldn't stay up. It took until fall to have new parts delivered. Ok, no problem. This past spring/summer we were traveling and couldn't use the screens when we were home due to smoke/air quality. When we finally did try using them, the windows wouldn't stay up..again. I called over six weeks ago and am STILL waiting for someone to simply call me back. I can be patient about waiting for replacement parts/service but it is UNACCEPTABLE that this business would not call back after six weeks. When I have called back to check on the status of my request, I was told I was on a "high priority list" and someone would call me; when called again (because I still hadn't received a phone call after 5 weeks) I was directed to the manager's voicemail. I waited one more week but nothing. has. happened. Do not purchase anything from this company or hire them to do any installation. They will never come to help you again if you have a problem. Lifetime warranties are meaningless if you won't repair broken products or have even the decency to call your customers back. read more

We had our house completely upgraded with all new windows! Your workers made it look so easy. They were prompt, did an awesome job, and left no mess whatsoever. I have been dealing with Comfort Windows for 15 months trying to get them to complete a job i paid over $7,000.00 for. 7 windows for my sunroof was supposed to be completed by September 2020. Here we are 1 year later and I'm still going back and forth with them over everything from torn screens, caulking that was never done, peeling paint on tracks and loose drip edges. Would never recommend this company and will report them to the BBB, News for Action and possibly end up in Small Claims Court. They are a nightmare. Worst customer service from the sales department. Upon noticing that they installed the wrong windows. They told me too bad that's what the contract stated. although on the contract it was abbreviated for side sliding Windows not double hung like I asked for. Their answer to me not being able to put an air conditioner in the window of a $1,500 installation is to add some pieces of PVC board to trim out the hole so it looks like s***.
