But I'll start with the bad. I got an iced Americano. The espresso was fine, but there were so many coffee grounds in my drink that kept getting in my mouth with every sip. Also tried their iced matcha latte. If you're a fan of matcha, skip this place. Pretty sure they use pre-made matcha. They said it's already pre-sweetened when I was ordering because I asked for no sweetener or syrups. It wasn't very good :/ Finally I'm a sucker for home baked goods. So I got a blueberry muffin. It's definitely store bought. Tasted like the kind you can get from Walmart. Definitely not bad, just wasn't what I was hoping for. But the inside is beautiful. I would love to sit and stay a while if their drinks or pastries were any good. Also the staff were wonderful! So nice and welcoming. We split a sandwich, each got a dessert, and split a medium pot of tea. The chicken salad was tasty. It was mostly mayo and chicken and we didn't notice anything else to it, but I enjoyed it. It was on the thin side. Again, the tea was delicious and we drank the whole pot. The desserts , mine a strawberry tree Leche, and my mom and cookie cheesecake. Both were delicious and decent size pieces.

The cafe is larger than expected. Spans far back where they have a tv set up, carom board game, and an area with a number of board games you can play while you dine. The staff didn't seem too informed about the menu items or drinks, which was a bit disappointing. I relied on some online reviews to decide on my order. The saffron karak chai was very good and comes out piping hot. I would prefer if they served this in an actual mug (rather than paper cup) especially if dining in. It was filled to the brim and spilled, not to mention putting a steaming hot drink in a paper cup. Nonetheless, the chair was good. More folks eventually started to come in so I can imagine this place gets noisy as it fills up. There was a women's group meeting all sitting in a circle on the floor in the front of the cafe. Perhaps they host group events? Not sure if there were any vegan options or egg free desserts, but check out the chai.

The inside of the church and the coffee shop are beautiful too bad they don't have a great cup of coffee though. you just can't get a great cup of coffee when you're not making the espresso from scratch with humans. Automated machines preset etc. never make an amazing cup of coffee or espresso. I would've given zero stars if I could for the cup of coffee but three stars for atmosphere and surroundings, hence one star since the main objective of the store is making a good cup of coffee.

Great options, wonderful seasonal specials. (Short rib omelette?! Hell yes!) I wanted basic, so I built my own omelette with a side of bacon and a hot tea. They have a great drink menu- coffee, specialty cocoas, tea, cocktails, mocktails, and refreshers. I was on my way to see a friend, so I grabbed us each a refresher to go. My meal was out in just minutes. Expertly prepared, fresh and delicious. Also a very nice portion. Sourdough toast was excellent. Generous filling for the omelette too. The only drawback was a common plight for strip mall restaurants- entrance that opens straight into the dining room. No foyer or vestibule means the cold January air nipped you in the face every time that front door opened. On cold days, get a table in the back. I'd like to highlight the mocktail concept, too. The service was friendly and efficient. The menu really had a lot of choices on it, more than I expected plus they have daily specials. What was really extra bonus nice is that I am very mobility challenged and use a Rollator walker. When we got outside, a young man named Johnathan from inside in the kitchen had come out to help me and he kindly help me get down the curb and put my walker in the car. Completely unsolicited it was just a really random kindness I look forward to going back and trying one of the lunch items
