They may do a handful of dishes well and the rest are some strange inferior concoction that doesn't match anything from your recollection. Asian Garden has always been on point, everything is exactly as you've come to expect and they have been very receptive to slight adjustments in ingredients based on taste upon request. My friend and her daughter shared the sushi meal, and it came with sashimi that they loved. We also tried their chicken teriyaki appetizer and the meal. The appetizer comes with spicy mayo sauce which came on kebab sticks, and were too spicy for the kids but I thought they were perfect. The meal did not have spicy mayo and was sliced on a steaming platter. It was delicious as well, but I personally preferred the appetizer style. Eric and Peter were amazing servers the second time. I'm more than happy to support this local restaurant anytime I'm in town. Everything was extremely fresh, authentic, and larger portions than most places for an amazing price point. The pork fried rice was underwhelming. The pork was tough, and the flavor seemed to be little more than soy sauce. It was mostly rice with a few onion slices and pieces of pork. The General Tso's Chicken was disappointing as well. There was very little actual chicken and a lot of batter. The sauce was brown in color and tasted nothing like the General Tso's sauce I've had elsewhere. It lacked flavor, and aside from a single piece of pepper, there were no vegetables. The Crab Rangoon was okay. The texture was different from what I'm used to, but it was edible. Overall, I found it to be an $18.75 meal that was largely inedible. While I appreciate the friendly service, the food simply wasn't for me, and unfortunately my second visit didn't change my opinion.
