I tried a variety of the meats and they were cooked to perfection--tender, flavorful, and well balanced with just the right spices and sauces. Nothing was dry, which made every bite enjoyable. Even though it was busy, the service was quick and very welcoming. The restaurant itself is spotless and clearly well maintained. They also offer traditional desserts like Om Ali, knefe, and rice pudding. If you want a more relaxed café vibe afterward, there's a café in the same parking lot run by the same owners with very comfortable seating and even a prayer room. Overall, a wonderful experience that definitely did not disappoint. I'll absolutely be back.

I remember looking over and thinking, "What is this place that's so full of life?" It was bustling with people and had such a great energy. I had never tried Egyptian food before, but I was feeling a little adventurous. I'm really glad I did. A few dishes were recommended, but I was told the Koshari is beloved in Egypt, so that's what I ordered. Be prepared for a bit of a carb coma, but it's absolutely worth it. It was delicious. The mix of pasta, rice, lentils, chickpeas, and crispy fried onions worked surprisingly well together, especially with the sauces they give you. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Toronto.

The atmosphere was lively but relaxed, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They took the time to walk us through the menu and explain the highlights of their authentic Egyptian cuisine. We started with a refreshing "Mojito" and then followed by "Salata Baladi", "Hummus", "Baba Ghanosh", "French Fries", "Kebda Eskandarani", "Sausage Eskandarani", "Karioka Combo" and paired it with "Tahini Sauce" and "Garlic Sauce". The food was very fresh and very flavour. The Karioka Combo includes Tarb (ground beef skewer wrapped with lamb fat), Shish Tawook, Kofta, Beef Kebab, Reyash (Lamb Chops) and the unique Hawaoshi. Each one of them was marinated with unique flavours and grilled to perfection; juicy and tender. We wrapped up our meal with the delicious "Roz Bel Laban", a creamy rice pudding with just the right touch of cardamom and raisins. It was the perfect finish to a memorable meal.

We ordered the Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Meat Platter and Sausage Manakesh. The Manakesh stands out as one of the best in Mississauga, its thick bread and generous topping of cheese and flavour make it a must try. The lamb chops on the meat platter were also delicious and all the meat is wonderfully moist. The overalls atmosphere, music and customer service were all exceptional. I will certainly be returning. Kudos to Sayel!

The inside has a funky fun decor set up with casual furniture. We got a large Hazelnut Latte to share which was really good. For our entrees, we ordered their Basturma Scramble and Cairo Classic. Do be prepared for a bit of a wait. We came on a Monday at noon and still waited 30 minutes. Lentil Soup Probably the biggest surprise for me. The soup has the perfect texture: silky but substantial. It's well-spiced and reminds me of South Asian flavors (rasam, to be specific). The accompanying bread and pickles were just the cherry on top! Cairo Classic I had low expectations for this dish, since it seems to be 90% beans. But once again, I was shocked by how flavorful everything was. It came with a single falafel, which may be one of the best falafels I've ever had. If I came back, I'd opt for the falafel dish over this one. Maha's Mind-blowing Chicken The chicken really is mind-blowing. I found the form factor a bit confusing, it seems to be more for presentation than practicality. But the flavors are exceptional.
