Rachel the social worker has been a rock for our family & continues to be such a support every step of the way. The rotation of nurses, Kate, Amy, Tri, & CJ are beyond caring, gentle, and genuine. Dulce the bathaid always make her feel beautiful with her blow drys!!! And all the delivery team are so prompt and kind. We will never be able to thank them enough. I was so unhappy and her caregiver was unhappy, my family members who live far away and who can only talk to her on the phone were besides themselves on how to talk to her.. Well after I decided that Mom desperately needed a hearing aid to get her back to living a normal life Elissa came into our life thru a referral. She came to my Mom at her home, gave her a hearing test, determined her loss, then went thru the options we had, fitted her ear to make the device.. and within days my mom had the aid and was back to hearing again!! I spoke with Sage on the phone and she set up an appointment for me with Travis. She then followed up with an email that included an appointment file I could add to my calendar, which was helpful. Met Travis for my appointment and after I filled out a brief medical history, he got to work. I really appreciated his attentive listening to how I described the problems I was having. He seemed to know exactly what the problem was working the right areas without needing much guidance from me. It's amazing how a massage expert can easily identify stiff muscles in other people. Throughout the massage, he often asked if he was using too much pressure, but I thought it was just right. He coached me to focus on my breathing and relaxing the muscles he was working. By the end of the hour he had made such a difference that my back felt so relaxed that I noticed how relatively stiff my neck was (I couldn't even notice this when my back was tense). Travis spent the last few minutes loosening up my neck and left feeling fantastic! Overall it was a great experience. Everyone I talked to there seem friendly and professional. She specifically recommended Dr. Ana Beqaj, who holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and that connection completely changed the direction of my recovery. When I first came to Davis and DeRosa, I was in bad shape -- I needed a cane to walk and was relying on muscle relaxers and pain medication daily. After my initial visit, I was diagnosed with a lateral lumbar shift due to disc herniations (it looked like I had scoliosis when I would take my shirt off)... I was honestly depressed and thought, "This is it -- I'll never walk without a cane again." But within just one month and a half of physical therapy with Dr. Beqaj and the amazing team at Davis and DeRosa, I was walking without a cane!! I couldn't believe it. I was overjoyed and incredibly grateful. The clinic is so good they've had to add extra PT tables in the waiting area just to accommodate the demand. At first, I was shy talking about my condition with others nearby, but after experiencing such powerful results, I didn't care who overheard -- I wanted everyone to know how effective they are. I'm also a disabled veteran, and I've been through VA physical therapy, so I can say this with confidence: Davis and DeRosa is better than any VA PT clinic I've ever been to. If you're a fellow veteran dealing with chronic pain or injury, please don't settle for less -- come here and experience what REAL HEALING feels like.
