From the moment I walked in the door, I knew I chose the right place. The people at the front desk were friendly and the space was welcoming. Baldeep, who took me back for my appointment, was tremendously attentive and made my experience comfortable and individualized. Since this was a new patient appointment for me, it was lengthy (as expected), but I felt like so satisfied after leaving. The staff was incredibly thorough with my exam, cleaning, and questions. I really couldn't ask for more. Dr. Taylor was also amazing. She really took the time to explain her reasonings for her recommendations. Overall, I didn't feel like just a number on their list to cross off for the day. They truly made me feel heard and seen- just like any person/patient should feel during their appointment. I changed employers and for some reason, my new insurance was not set-up correctly and my wife and children were not covered by dental. When they went to get their teeth cleaning, Kelly was asked to confirm insurance coverage before the service. She did not tell my wife about the lack of coverage until after the service. I understand and fully accept that I am responsible to pay the bill, which I did, but I was shocked when I simply asked to receive the same level of discount as would be provided if insurance was covering it. We all know the list prices are drastically inflated. Kelly first told me it was not possible to get any discount and she would get fired if she gave a discount. Later on the call, she offered a $100 discount only if I paid immediately. I asked to have an updated bill provided and I would pay that amount. The updated bill never arrived and two weeks later, Kelly called and threatened that if I did not pay immediately she was sending the bill to collections. After again explaining that I would pay, but wanted to receive the same level of discount as would have been provided to insurance, Kelly then told me that would be illegal. I pressed my case and finally, she told me there was a friends and family discount of 20% she would give me. I took the offer and made the payment. In summary, Kelly lied several times about not being able to give us a discount for paying cash, failed to tell my wife there was no coverage before services were provided, accused me of ignoring email when she made a typo in the address, and finally used strong-arm tactics by threatening collections for a bill that was less than a month old.\ There are many fine dentists available in the Redmond area and hopefully, the next one we visit has a business manager with a heart.

My experience of Dr malouf has been that he is disrespectful and rude, and shady with the financial side of things. I paid over 6k out of pocket to have a tooth extracted and an implant put in, 2700 of that was just for the implant. 36 hours after the procedure, the post for the implant tooth fell out. Obviously concerned I called and he had me bring the post back in and he looked at my gums, said everything was ok, and we would decide how to proceed after the gum/jaw healed. The implant tooth never went in. He never followed up, he never mentioned it again, he moved practices and assured me he would take care of it when he got moved. After repeatedly asking him about it and being brushed off (while also being told I needed thousands of dollars of more work done) while coming in for regular cleanings......I finally decided I wanted to call him and talk to him about it. 3 phone messages over few week span and got no call back. But when I had a tooth start hurting and left another message.... they called right away. When I came in and needed work done on the hurtijg tooth, I asked him about the implant and the fact I had paid $2700 for an implant that never went in.... HE LAUGHED AT ME and told me "I can get you a deal on another implant." I was livid and honestly didn't know how to react to someone behaving this way. He then told me he had already been credited by the manufacturer for said implant, but that was a long time ago and now he owed his manufacturer so that would be of no help to me (he later claimed he never said that, but he 100% did.) So now allegedly he is contacting the manufacturer to potentially get me some sort of credit or I don't know what. But he told me 6 weeks ago he would get back to me in 2 weeks.......I HAVE HEARD. NOTHING back. He's given me the run around for over 2 years, and meanwhile never once discussed with me what my options were for treatment, or for how to handle the missing tooth i have. I paid for a procedure that didn't work, and I understand that can sometimes happen. But he repeatedly blamed me because "my body is sensitive" and did nothing to take any share of the responsibility for it OR even try to help me figure out what I could/should do. I can accept that things go wrong in medical procedures, but I can't and won't accept people being rude, condescending, brushing me off, or lying to me about money. I FOR SURE am not okay with a medical professional LAUGHING AT ME when I bring up a concern. (He did late apologize when I called him out on it, but sorry....not ok.) And I am not a 1 time patient, I'm someone who spent roughly 20 grand out of pocket with him. I would have thought that bought me some kindness and willingness to work with me to get the work I need paid for. I gues not. I'd give -5 stars if I could. I was fairly certain this wasn't really necessary since I never had these types of "issues" before with other trusted dentists (and hadn't ever even had cavities!). Just as the pandemic started, I tried switching to another dentist recommended nearby, but their equipment didn't seem adequately clean (splatters on the light above and the sunglasses they gave me--at the start of pandemic times no less, it was so gross!!!). So I super-researched dentists and was so happy to find Redmond Dental with stellar reviews and longstanding expertise. They took my insurance and also could help with my in-laws' dental needs which was such a relief too! As a patient of Dr. Tung, I really appreciate all the rigor she has placed on setting up a welcoming practice (including safety measures for COVID that have adjusted as needed and are as practical as possible for both patients and her staff). Dr. Tung is very personable, meticulous, and truly cares about making sure that you're satisfied with all aspects of your dental work, and I've experienced this with her staff as well.
