I ordered the Fredgie's Original Hot Dog, topped with spicy mustard, peanut butter, and chili. I know peanut butter on a hot dog sounds unusual, but trust me--it works! Every bite was delicious, and I can honestly say their "World Famous" claim is well deserved. The hot dog itself was perfectly cooked with a great snap, and the buttery New England-style roll was soft, fresh, and the perfect complement. It's obvious they put thought into every detail. Before leaving, I ordered a Doggie Dog hot dog to take home for my dog, and let's just say it disappeared in record time. He absolutely loved it! My son, is a heathen, he had ketchup and mustard on his red hot dog. He was blown away. The crisp casing, the off the grill heat, and super flavor made his afternoon. I think his name is Tom and he is a hoot to talk to while he's grilling your dogs. It was a neat break to have a dog and chat with this guy as a storm was threatening.
