Since staring a new position at work I'm constantly looking at a computer screen and I've noticed some vision changes. I called 3 weeks ago and they gave me the earliest date and time. Arrived today about 7mins before they officially opened at 8am. They have self check in kiosks for both Fog Remington and Insight Vision Center. Easy to use they provide the instructions in English and in Spanish. You simply provide your information, Scan your DL and they also ask for a payment card. The waiting room is a good size and has many seats. The ladies at the front counter are nice. Noticed that people do try to check in with them but they would redirect them to the self service kiosks. I was called back about 10mins later. Dr.Lu is my doctor she's kind and knowledgeable, listened my concerns. My appointment as a whole lasted about 30mins. The place is clean and everyone was friendly.

Let me start by saying Dr Bishop and staff were absolutely amazing. If anyone needs Lasik, I am recommending Dr Bishop and team. My surgery was fast, every appointment was very thorough and on time and I couldn't ask for a better experience... plus a week later my vision is amazing. I had my 1 week follow up appt with my optometrist and he said my flaps are healing perfectly and my astigmatism is completely gone. My vision is still 20/20. I finished my antibiotic drops and am using the steroid drops for a couple of more days. I've been using the lubricating drops as directed and ordered an exact replacement to have more (since you use those every 1 to 2 hours)... The optometrist asked if I was using the lubricating drops, which I said yes and showed him.. (here is why the 1 star reduction). He said to not use those yet.. they are ok to save for a couple of months down the road but for the first couple of months after the procedure, I need to be using drops with no preservatives. The reason being is that he has had patients over time where their vision will progressively go to 20/40 and they ask why and come to find out, the lubricating drops with preservatives can cause inflammation of the flap while it's still healing during the first few months and because the nerves were disconnected during the laser treatment, there's no indication or sensation. So, that being said, I researched it and sure enough he was right. I had bought the drops from him (at cost) and they come in the little plastic vials with a cap that breaks off. One vial is good for a day of heavy use. So my question is, if this is known information, why was I given lubricating drops with preservatives? I was given a different brand than was shown on the paperwork (was told they were out of the brand shown but that these were fine)... I really love my new vision and I'd hate for it to slowly degrade over time because of using the incorrect drops. I also spent 20 dollars on drops that I can't use for a couple of months, which is not huge but still. Either way, I 100 percent recommend eye-q and Dr Bishop for Lasik. You all are great and I truly appreciate my vision. I just wish I would've been given the proper lubricating drops and at least been informed so I could have purchased the correct ones.

The only positives are that I was glad they got her in within the week to see if her retina was detached and my grandma and I had a good experience with Dr Ni. The building is really big. We walked into the lower floor and there are many spots to try on glasses. We didn't see a clear reception area or signs pointing to check-in. We walked through this try-on area/lobby to a counter against the back wall. I approached the woman who was talking to another employee who was leaned over the counter. I asked if she could help us find the check-in and I mentioned that I wasn't sure we were in the right place. She said "Do you have the address?" I replied I did have the matching address but as the building was big, I wasn't sure if I was in the correct spot. She said she was going to "send" me to the next room. We went into the next room and there was another counter, with no one facing the door we can in through. I put my grandma's ID into the check-in kiosk. It said to see someone at the counter. I went around to the other side of the L shaped counter were 2 people worked on computers, not looking up. I asked if we were checked in. They said I needed to go to the 4th floor. (I'm still not sure if we could have just started there. I had ushered my grandma around a bit at this point). On the 4th floor, there were 3 people at the counter. Not very welcoming or acknowledging. During her exam, my grandma mostly saw one assistant until he left and another assistant came in. She was smacking gum loudly and asking if my grandma was already given drops to dilate her eye. I had seen the previous assistant give drops but I wasn't sure for what purpose. I pointed to the drops on the counter and she looked confused and went to ask. When we checked out, the scheduling desk debated back and forth as to if the follow up was 3 month or 5 month. They finally went to ask. 3 months. They said to come back in January. I said it couldn't be January and 3 months. It is April. The scheduler was pretty confident and kept referring to her screen. She brought another scheduler over. They both told me January while looking at the screen. I said July would be 3 months after April. They both caught the error then and rescheduled my grandma to July. I'm hoping to take her to my OD, Dr Kebo, in Sanger. Drs Kebo are both wonderful and professional. I'm so glad my grandma didn't attempt to go to this appointment on her own. This office is unprofessional and unorganized.

The exam itself was very comprehensive, and it's clear they truly care about doing things properly rather than rushing patients through. I've had some really terrible eye exam experiences in town at the last three facilities, and after leaving a doctor I loved in West Hollywood, I hadn't been able to find someone of that caliber locally until now. This office actually exceeds that experience, which says a lot. They also took my insurance and CareCredit, which made the whole process even easier and more accessible.
