I say this because Dr Zaander is hands down the best OB/GYN I have ever had the pleasure of being treated by (you heard me right, ladies... I said pleasure). This is because while the majority of us normally dread this type of annual visit, Dr Z makes it more than simply bearable... instead it feels like coming home each time to talk to a really good friend. Someone who you know beyond a shadow of a doubt will always have your back and your best interests at heart. So then what could possibly have made it so "bittersweet", you might ask?... Well, my health insurance just changed and unfortunately she is no longer covered by my new policy. So even though I've finally found the one doctor I feel the most comfortable with, it appears that I might have to switch to someone completely new, all over insurance and cost. If so, that would make this my last visit... and there in lies the bittersweet-ness. Now don't get me wrong... Dr Zaander and her team are amazing enough that if I can find a way to afford to continue to go there in spite of my lack of insurance coverage, I most certainly will. They truly are THAT GOOD. :) So whether this was in fact my final visit, or I continue to be seen here for many years to come, I want to personally send a BIG thank you to Dr Zaander and the entire staff at Lake Oswego GYN for taking such excellent care of me for all these years. Blood labs were incomplete, did not test free testosterone for diagnosing hypogonadism for example. when a lab came in low my pcp said "I dont know what that means" and was never followed up on. Im leaving some details out but I got this vibe that one pcp was protecting the other. It was really weird and triggering. Initial establishment appointment she does not give a patient feedback, did not listen to my needs, sent lab request to the wrong location twice (they do not have the ability to upload labs to labcorp or epic for some odd reason) offered a test which I did not and would not be able to complete and then took weeks to correct it, lack of communication on 6/9/26 led to an unintentional missed wellness appointment they are now billing as a missed appointment (they will never see a payment for this from me, ever) as I called and told them unforseen circumstances led to be being late in traffic to which they informed me over the phone I would still be seen, having arrived at the exact time I told them I would led to the receptionist not checking me in because she had to "check" with the back office staff, wasted 4 more minutes attempting to communicate with said back office staff only to get up from her desk and then return to tell me I would not be seen, 7/17/26 I just received an EPIC message that it would be billed as a missed appointment (funny how they are skilled in using EPIC for billing and not messaging)

ME, who has not worked with this woman for over 9 years. I am starting to question why she has not removed my phone number from her banking information. Does she not want these calls? This has been going on for at least a couple of years now. I have notified her repeatedly. I am now going to contact the FTC and see if she can be forced to remove my phone number and perhaps see if her business practices are above board. Why is she avoiding these calls?
