The service was phenomenal, the views were picture perfect, the vibes of the restaurant are cozy, and the food was genuinely to die for. We had a large party, 10 adults and 4 kids, and they were able to accommodate us around 5:45pm. We were told to get there early because they do fill up fast, and I can see why. The pork belly bao buns were so good, I could eat them everyday! The fettuccini pasta with shrimp was also amazing but the star was the snapper! Overall pricing is about the same as all the restaurants on the island and the portion size is huge! The miso cod needed more on the plate though! They should add rice with it. As soon as you walk up, you have an option to sit out on the beach, bar or a beautiful open setting sitting. The atmosphere and nature all around you definitely makes the vacation that much worth it! I got myself a fish of the day (wahoo) ceviche. Fresh, tender and absolutely refreshing! There's so many options and with labels if you have restrictions. My server Francisco was an absolute delight. It's been over 15 years since we had a sushi restaurant, and this one is even better than what we had 15 years ago A lot better! If it was in the state, I probably would give it four stars but here to me it's a five. This island needs a good sushi restaurant. Everything we ordered was as good or better than what we expected This may be the most beautiful restaurant in St. John, With the beautiful view, I strongly suggest you come here at lunch or at dinner before it gets dark. It is just too beautiful, not to enjoy such a view I read other reviews before I came here. Almost everybody said everything was great, but the service was slow. Possibly the Restaurant was just starting to manage it properly but when we were there, I have nothing to complain about the service. I was very happy and I could come here weekly. Assuming I can afford it. It cost a lot. after tip for the two of us, it was over $500. I talked to the people at the table next-door because they were having meat. One was having a ribeye. I believe the other was having lamb chops. They both were very happy with what they got. That's great to know, because let's face it not everybody likes seafood. Many people who order a California roll at restaurants are not getting top Quality Crab. The crab in my California roll here was perfect. obviously other people appreciate this restaurant too, because it was filled. i'm thrilled I came to karma and I'm looking forward to be coming here regularly from this point on oh yeah, almost forgot because I'm not a big dessert lover. Location by the water is great. Decor is nice and draws you in. Food was good. I was disappointed that I got two super watered down Diet Coke's at $5 each. The second one tasted like just water with a drop of Diet Coke. I got a veggie sushi roll and was charged for a California Roll. Server was nice. read more

We had the most fantastic time at Karma Beach Club! First off the place is aesthetically beautiful I'm sure I took atleast 50 pictures of the atmosphere alone. We had a part of 8 and were seated at the far end of the room. Unfortunately the next restaurant over is a honky tonk karaoke place where there speakers go to 11. We ordered our apps and entrees and after 45 we're wondering where they were . At the one hour mark everything came out at once. Some orders right, some wrong, some missing completely. I visited Karma Beach Lounge with some friends and family while we were in town, and overall, I had a good experience; though there were a few things that kept it from being great. We came just for drinks since we had already eaten lunch, and I honestly wish we'd gone here first. The food menu looked really good with a lot of dishes I would've loved to try. Definitely something I'm keeping in mind for next time ( menu's definitely on the pricier side though) As for the drinks, they were really good, strong and well-mixed ; no complaints there. The only downside was that a few drinks we tried to order weren't available because they were out of some ingredients. That led to us switching to back up choices a couple of times, which was a little let down. Service was on the slower side, but I'll give them grace it didn't look really staffed at the time. They were doing their best, but the wait was noticeable. The best part was the ambiance. The lounge has a great setup with beautiful views and stylish decor. It's definitely a relaxing place to hang out. Even with the hiccups, I'd still recommend it. I plan to come back and actually try the food next time. read more

This was a phenomenal experience. We got off the ferry in St John and knew what beach we wanted to hit but didn't know where we wanted to eat! Stomachs were touching our ribs. So we followed some folks and landed at the inlet that led us to Karma. The ambiance was amazing. Fit our aesthetic preference perfectly - clean, outside seating that's covered, and a nice Afro house playlist that's uptempo. The sushi roll was fantastic. My beautiful date ate most of it. I said dang! Can I have some? The beer battered fish was fresh and not heavy. This is why I love island food. None of the processed seafood, mostly fresh. I appreciate that. The fries slapped too. The chicken tacos were also very good. No complaints, no edits with the food. The drinks? MAN, the spritzes were my choices. Loved them. Made with love and was super refreshing as a cucumber ginger type of drink at midday. The perfect hybrid between wellness and litness This will be our go-to lunch spot when we're back in St John. Not sure if we came on a bad day but they were pretty much out of a lot of stuff, including on the lunch menu. We ended up having to order on the regular menu, which was a huge bummer because we chose this place because we looked at the menu prior. Some of our food wasn't the greatest but they did have a good poke bowl. It is very pricey but I am assuming you're paying for the location. Our service was good and the waitress was very nice. Got 3 of 6 drink orders wrong. Rushed us to take dinner order. Server came to pick up before we finished eating. Picked up drink glasses before finishing. So tbh we didn't actually eat here but there was a lot of promise. Wed been walking around quite a while and stopped to peak at the menu. The lunch menu had some simple options we were interested in, but it was dinner time and after we were seated we were told they didn't have those options. My mother has a shellfish allergy and we were told that because they'd been using the same fry oil for the shellfish she wouldn't be able to eat anything fried. She wanted chicken wings so unfortunately we ended up leaving, but appreciated they told us up front. Liked the ambiance a LOT - it's right on the bay where the passenger docs come in. Very modern, open airy decor. There were some folks smoking nearby because it's all outside which I actually really disliked so be aware of that but otherwise I think it would be a cute dinner/date spot. This would be a five star review except for the fact that, when we asked to close our tab, the bartender said, "$74." Ok. Woah. That seems like a lot for 3 drinks but, ok. I did a quick google search - does Karma Lounge include automatic gratuity? Yep. Yep. It does. So when we were given the credit card slip it said $74 PLUS a line for a tip. Kind of shady. We never saw the original bill. The $74 included a 20% gratuity but we were never told that or shown that on a bill. So, heads up, I guess. read more

Both the food and the service could really improve here. I'm so disappointed, I really wanted to like this place. I spent 600 dollars here last night and I left hungry and unsatisfied. 1. We waited 15 minutes once sat to be greeted, then we waited another ten minutes for water. The theme of the night was waiting. We waited 35 minutes for appetizers. 2. We had a server who was unfamiliar with the menu (one of the people I was with asked if a sauce was made with tomatoes because it was unspecified on the menu, she assured her it wasn't and the dish came out not only in tomato sauce but with sliced tomatoes on top lol) she then told us that the kitchen would normally remake it but they're too busy tonight. 3. The food in general was lacking. I've never had a ceviche that was dry??? The leche de Tigre was not in the room with us. Absolutely no citrus present. It also came out with like six random sweet potato fries on top. Not great. The nigiri was butchered, I ordered two pieces of yellowtail and the way these things were sliced.. that tuna died for nothing. The bloodline was not even fully removed from the fish. Burnt herb crusted chicken, bland sea bass. It's like the kitchen was competing on who could give us the worst plate. The one thing I enjoyed was the interior design. That's where the one star is coming in. You may not get a good meal here but you will get a good picture. read more

We visited Karma Beach Lounge with a party of six and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience despite the excellent food. Drinks came quickly, but it went downhill from there. One guest's appetizer was completely missed, and four entrées arrived -- but not mine or my spouse's. Instead, we were brought only our sides (plantains and herb potatoes), and after waiting about 8 minutes while everyone else began eating, we finally had to escalate to the lead server. Our entrées arrived more than 12 minutes after the others, long after the rest of the table had started. The Seared Chilean Sea Bass itself was delicious, but it was hard to enjoy while eating so far out of sync with our group. The lead server did discount the entrées by 20%, which we appreciated, but at $55 per dish, the service should be much tighter. We also noticed that the forgotten appetizer was still on the bill and had to be removed. Also, read the fine print at the bottom of the menu - 20% gratuity is included on ALL checks regardless of the number in your party. So poor service can't be reflected in the tip :) Beautiful setting and great food -- but the execution and service need serious improvement. read more

Our group of 6 were seated in a quiet niche right on the bay side -- admittedly I was insistent we be seated in a better spot than initially offered and then wanted the lights dimmed so our atmosphere was to our liking and instead of getting snippy with my persnickety requests, they were pleasant and catered to our desires going above and beyond to even bring candles to light our table...we had 5 different very good sushi rolls and yummy crab rangoon!! The best meal we have had on the island during our stay. The sea bass was incredible. So were the crab rangoons, mahi-mahi, and shrimp tempura bowl. The drinks were also delicious.
