    Cozy night

Such a nice spot!! Super cozy with beautiful views, great staff, and amazing food!! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

Cute location. Right across from a small beach. Fresh food. Pizza and tacos. All seafood is super fresh and amazing. Servers were patient with the super drunk losers at the bar. Bartenders were kind and helpful. Great place. Not many cabs will drop here but you can find some.

Really can't ask for much more for ambience. The waves breakout far and there were people surfing Pro style.

We ate at many places in our seven days. This was by far the best. Best food, the fish tacos were amazing the conch fritters I've always wanted to try them. They did not disappoint. Casual outdoor seating on one of the most beautiful quiet beaches on the island. The owner was super cool. He even mentioned that he had the same Grateful Dead shirt as me. Highly recommend.

First of all, I wanna say this is the most amazing delicious hidden place in St. Thomas. If you ever go to the island, you gotta go to the shack because their food is amazing and the price is just right the ambience it's outside and it's very cozy there friendly they make you feel like your family and it's right by the water so you can even enjoy the beach, so anybody going to St. Thomas? This is the place to be.

The bartenders are social. It was a cute little hidden place. The appetizers we ordered were tasty, conch fritters and mahi bites... lightly battered which we enjoyed.

Best fish tacos in St Thomas! The steak tacos were also really good, steak was super tender. Atmosphere was pretty.

Awesome place hidden away in Hull Bay! Food and ambience are amazing. We enjoyed our meal and drinks so much. I recommend the lemongrass mule! So refreshing

Spent the morning at Magens Bay and drove the 7 minutes to the beautiful, hidden Hull Bay. This place was a hidden retreat. Lots of space, shade or sun, and some incredible fish tacos and drinks. Loved this place so much!

I'm familiar with this place before it changed name and ownership. It had a different vibe then, but the current owners have really outdone themselves with all the upgrades to the decor. The location is ideal - right across from the beach in a fenced lot, so you could easily grab food and drinks to go, or you could enjoy your meal at a table or the bar (they have some fun swings)! Their painkillers are great - maybe one of the best I've had. The food is tasty, but unfortunately our food was lukewarm because it had sat at the bar for a while. To be fair, we dined there on a Friday evening, when the place was packed and seemingly understaffed. With that said, the bartender who took our order didn't share that we'd need to come back to get our food, and I had also watched someone delivering food to other tables?! I should mention it also took nearly 10 minutes to be recognized at the bar. We patiently waited over 45 minutes for our food when we finally decided it was taking way too long. We went to the bar only to learn that our food had been sitting. No apologies made, just a simple explanation that "they didn't have time" to find our party. Unfortunately, I'm giving 3 stars because the service really set the stage here.

I'm not even kidding when I say: best food on the island. We ate all over the place all week, and this amazing little spot with the best beach vibe ever also happens to serve up some amazing casual beach food. 2 bars, corn hole, 3 dart boards, and the best crispy fish tacos ever. Drinks are tasty and prices are island-reasonable, as well. I paid legitimately 3x more last night for food that doesn't even come close. Go, go, go.

I would have given it 5 stars but the bean burger is not vegan and the servers don't know what vegan is. Really? Really, Mayo and cheese are not vegan. I wish I could have eaten there on the beach but they no longer allow dogs on a leash. So my husband got it to go. He said the fish tacos were good.

We ate here a couple times during our stay due to proximity. The food is good and the ambience is delightful. The wait for food post ordering is extraordinary. If you're super hungry I'd pick another option. Otherwise, be prepared to enjoy a couple drinks and play a few rounds of cornhole while you casually wait for your order. Note: they will not split checks for tables, large or small, which is mildly annoying.

    Fish tacos!

We ordered the fish tacos there pretty good. I think it was swordfish for the tacos. Good vibes nice atmosphere.

    Covered area with bar.

While Lazy Jacks down the way plays basketball games and pumps US music, La Nasa is much more autentico. Locals gather here and they play classic Puerto Rican party jams. We grabbed some drinks (they have the seemingly ubiquitous Don Q Pina Coladas) and watched people dance some version of the salsa. The atmosphere felt a lot more like what we were looking for -- right on the beach, Spanish speaking only, something that's been around for locals forever. Beware the rickety stairs on the way down to the beach. We almost had serious injury there due to the one spinning step. And I'd skip the $1jello shots just on principle. We really enjoyed the juxtaposition of the really American focused bar down the way and this OG spot. Drop in here, grab a bev, enjoy the dark water and the big sky at night.

The local beer, Medalla, is $1.50. Or you can be brave and try one of the many tropical drinks listed on the board behind the bar. We got the "Biobay" for $6 each, and to me it tasted like $12 worth of booze (or at least that's was a super-boozy mix drink can cost in Chicago). We promptly spent our savings on the horse roulette game that everyone was playing. With a limit of two dollars per bet, your money won't run away too fast, and you might as well play because this is, quite literally, the only game in town. We were there a little early in the evening and saw a lot of people dancing the merengue. I'm guessing the dance floor only picks up as the night goes on. My friend commented that the glorious part of the establishment was that it felt more like a family place than a bar - old and young age groups were represented on the floor and on the tables out front. For me, this was definitely a highlight of my trip to Puerto Rico, and I plan to come back with my boyfriend soon to get on that dance floor.

Our bartender Alex and her side kick Ryan were awesome compliments to the beachy view of St. John and our delicious cocktails. If not staying at the Ritz, great bay beach, which Pelicans Beach Bar sits on is actually a public beach. There is hidden free public beach parking past the main hotel lobby port cochere and down a steep road. Pictures attached show the way. From the moment we arrived after a quick ferry ride from St. Thomas we were swept up in the vibe. This spot is basically a no-holds-barred beach bash in broad daylight: cold tropical cocktails flowing, live music pumping (especially on Sundays), and everyone from locals to visitors cranking the energy to max. It's not just a bar and grill; it's where "daytime beach party" gets redefined. We got there early, grabbed shaded lounge chairs plenty of amenities like paddleboarding and snorkeling are a nice bonus), and before we knew it, the place was packed with groups laughing, dancing in the sand, and toasting like it was midnight at a club. Pure, unfiltered fun kids these days might call it getting "Crunked Up," but for us, it was straight-up thriller-level partying under the Caribbean sun. The food hits the spot too: fresh locally caught fish, juicy burgers, tacos, and salads that feel perfect with your feet in the sand. Service can lag when it's slammed (which it usually is, in the best way), but who cares when the atmosphere is this electric? Fun facts that make it even better: Dinghy's sits right on Honeymoon Beach, one of the calmest, clearest spots in the USVI, on tiny Water Island (just 3/4 square mile easy to explore, big on vibes). It evolved from a spot called Joe's Beach Bar when the current owners took over around 2013, turning it into the go-to for boozy, sweaty, sultry beach days that feel like the Caribbean's version of a legendary cantina hangout. No wonder it's racked up thousands of glowing reviews it's consistently ranked as a top beach bar for good reason. If you're in St. Thomas and want a place that kicks off the good times early and doesn't let up, Dinghy's is it. 5 stars would party there again in a heartbeat. Cheers to epic daytime adventures!
