This was very valuable training for my puppy, especially during quarantine. My corgi puppy completed the puppy kindergarten, where I dropped him off to learn how to play with other friendly puppies and also had a virtual training component. I think the puppy socialization was very valuable for my pup and helped him learn to play and be nice and share with other dogs in a safe setting. Our trainer Matt's positive energy and approach to working with our 10-week-old Goldendoodle Bear has absolutely made a difference in how she sees the world and engages with us. Realizing results vary by breed and consistency of the work we put in with Bear between sessions, I was amazed at how quickly I'd been able to build on the 7 basic asks between the one private session I had with Matt and a week later, our first puppy kindergarten class. She already knows all 7 asks and we're refining them each time. The kindergarten classes provide training around those benchmarks as well as a safe and controlled environment for socialization. The private sessions are a great way to deal with specific behavior issues as they arise or goals you have in mind for your dog in home. Matt also helped us with how to best puppy proof the house given our needs and what's safest for Bear. Sessions are convenient and tailored around your schedule. They help you and your dog build confidence, a solid relationship and live a healthy, calm, well adjusted and happy life. I can't say enough positive things about Karma. Talk about a God sent! Our family increased by 50 percent with the addition of two canine family members in a matter of 3 weeks! After our first addition, Rose, a Morkie Poo mix, whom we rescued at 14 weeks of age, we decided to start looking for some training help. It truly must have been Divine intervention which took me to look at Karma Dog Training's website after searching for Dog Training in West Los Angeles; because my husband had read Dr. Ian Dunbar's book, "Before & After Getting Your Puppy" and wants to make our canine family members "Ambassadors for their breeds". Well, it turns out that Karma Dog Training trainers are well versed on Dr. Dunbar's philosophy. In addition, their Puppy Class is super helpful in socializing young pups before all their vaccines and helps puppy "parents" to have a better understanding of how to apply the training principles. Part of me wants to keep Matt Rouch a secret, but he's so amazing, I have to let everyone know about what a wonderful trainer he is. Even our eight year old, who was a bit apprehensive about going to Puppy Class, warmed up to it after the first class with Matt. Matt even drove in pre holiday traffic to help us make the first introduction between Rose and our second addition, a 10 week old Newfoundland! Truly exceptional! After reading some great Yelp reviews I called Jeffrey, the owner, who spoke with me at length about what they offer. I was very impressed. Luca has been going every Sunday since. He is now six months old and growing fast! The classes are great as is our trainer Jessica. She really knows what she is doing. Plenty of play time combined with basic skills like sit, lay down, stay, loose leash walking, leave it, etc ...he learned them all. We adopted an 8wk old lab pit mix and wanted to make sure we are doing everything possible to be the best pup parents possible which included training class. I found Karma dogs on Yelp and was rated one of the top. I love their motto of using possible reinforcement. Called Karma the day I got my 3 yr old Pit Bull from the shelter. Having never been a dog owner, I was very worried about how to train and acclimate my dog to her new home. I called Karma and spoke to Jeff, who was very helpful and knowledgeable. He sent me a list of training options and I went with a private in-home session with Olivia. She was awesome! It just so happened my 11 yr old niece and 5 yr old nephew were visiting when she came for the training session and she was able to stay focused on my dog and still be very patient with me and my questions while my niece and nephew were running amuck. It's definitely worth the money for first time owners. She gave me lots of tips for feeding schedules, greeting/leaving, what to eat, all kinds of helpful things. That was 2 months ago, and now my pit is a fav at the dog park. We're getting ready to start basic obedience classes this month to fine-tune some basic commands and am really excited about it!
