Favorite restaurant in Fruita 10/10!!! The chicken tandoori is crazy good

A rare find. Ordered Chicken Bhuteko and it was very flavorful and yet delicate. Will come again for sure!

After a long day of traveling and experiencing colorful colorado my family decided to fuel up here at karma kitchen. i ordered an iced chai and it was out in a few seconds. the food was AMAZING we shared some curries with rice and it was wonderful. very chill place that felt very home-y... might just have to move to fruita!! read more

This new restaurant has been open but a week. We arrived at 6 on Friday night and were lucky to get a table. Service was super friendly, but it was clear they were under some pressure from having a full house. It took some time for our food, but it was worth the wait. Everything was delicious, and prepared perfectly. I expect the kitchen to get up to speed and wait times to drop. If the quality of the food is maintained, we will be frequent customers. It's great to see they are this busy, and great to have another option in town. If you are impatient, wait a while while they work out the kinks. read more

My husband and I have eaten at Karma Kitchen twice in the last 6 months. It is Indian Food that also has some foods from other surrounding areas of India. The first time we went we had the Karma Sampler which we split. It has several different types of Indian food. We were able to get an idea of what foods we liked best from it. It had a chicken curry, lamb curry, saag paneer, somosa, and other items. All were good, though we did enjoy some of the options more than others. We went again last night. I had been craving the Saag Paneer since we had the Karma Sampler a few months ago. I ordered it and my husband ordered the Chicken Chili. He didn't know what to expect. Both were excellent. The Chicken Chili was not any thing like an American Chili. He really liked the flavor of it. I did too. It could have been spicier for him but he likes really spicy foods. I found it very flavorful and not too spicy for me. The Saag Paneer was excellent. It satisfied my craving for it (at least for a few days). They served rice with cumin seasoning in it with the dishes. Both times we have gone it has been very empty and we have gone in the middle of the week both times. The atmosphere is nice, the people are very attentive, and the food is excellent. I highly recommend trying this restaurant in downtown Fruita. read more

There are few restaurants where tolerating a 45 minute wait would seem worthwhile, but Karma is one of those rare places. I ordered the vegetable Thali,a sampler of their supremely good vegetarian offerings. But the Mutter Paneer was exquisite, with a sauce so subtly spiced that I closed my eyes to experience each bite. The ambience, customer service mostly the food at this place was outstandingly amazing!! Momo was sooo juicy and delicious!!! We ordered many varieties and there wasn't anything that we disliked!! We've eaten their food twice. Once we ordered take out, and once in the restaurant. They have delicious saag paneer and bhindi masala. The naan was freshly cooked as well. Just went to their grand opening today and they had a buffet going. Food was so fresh with many choices. It was crowded but the staff remained calm. We had the buffet and each a glass of wine and the total came to $35.00. Very reasonable. I don't know if the buffet is going to be a normal thing or they just wanted everyone to sample what they have. I hope the food continues to be as fresh as it was today. If it stays this way, they will make it! read more

Plan on a wait. We arrived at 6:55pm on a Saturday night. The place was packed. Because there wasn't any tables we opted to order to go. They took my order and said they'd call me when it was ready. She said 30 minutes. We walked around town and after 40 minutes I returned to check on the order as I hadn't received a call. I waited a little while then one of the nice young ladies processed my payment. That was at 7:45pm. Then I waited and waited and waited. The kids were in the car waiting hungry and impatient. After a while the young lady that took my order let me know it was almost ready. After another while another nice lady came and apologized. She offered me a free appetizer, this didnt make sense as it would only add further load on the kitchen so I declined. I waited and waited. I finally got my food at 8:35pm... It was bed time for the kiddos but we still had to drive home and eat. Portion size is small. For example the Chicken Makhani or Vindaloo, for $13 you should get more in my opinion, see pictures. The food was okay but nothing to keep me going back for more. I prefer two other places in GJ over this one. The restaurant is clean and the folks are very friendly. read more

They are hustling and keeping the buffet stocked better now that they have a feel for volume. Food is still tasty and generous.

We've eaten Indian food all over and this was simply great. If you love naan bread, theirs is flaky and light, made to order, and all other naan seems like an afterthought or something supplied by outside vendors. It's not a large place but the weeknight we were there it was quite busy. The tandoori chicken seems like the whole bird and will supply lunch for us on the road. read more

This place is amazing!!! The quality and care they take in preparing their dishes with fresh ingredients puts this place on another level! Sauces are rich and flavorful. Chicken so tender it just falls apart. I had the Chicken Korma and Chicken Vindaloo. Vindaloo was a little spicy just the way I like it. Naan Bread is so soft and delicious! Fruita has the Valley's best restaurants. Hot Tomato, Camilla's, Rib City, El Tapatio, and now Karma Kitchen!! Did I mention the wait staff checked our water like 10 times!! My husband and son and I had dinner there last week. The food was amazing but holy hell did we pay for this dinner. Dinner for the three of us cost $55. I think they overcharged us. I had a small bowl and my husband and son had the medium bowl. How does three bowls of food with a little meat and mostly vegetables +2 drinks cost $55. We love the food but not for $55. read more

We have been here twice now, both times within their first month of being open. The first time, we had the place to ourselves and the food was really good! There is definitely a bit of a communication barrier with the current wait staff but they did well regardless. The second time, the place was packed and they staff was struggling with timing of seating, drinks, taking orders, and the food coming out all at the same time. The food was still very good, but expect things to be slow and be patient with them until they get settled in more. Hopefully they get some waiting staff that is more local and figure out some efficiency. read more

This is the third time we have been to Karma Kitchen and the second time we've done the buffet. Excellent each time.
