They have a nice area with booths and other seating arrangements if you choose to stay there and eat in the restaurant. We ordered take out and they were even so sweet to offer paper plates, napkins, and anything else you might need. This restaurant is located just a little off one of the main roads in Fruita on the way to Colorado National Monument. It was very clean, everyone was friendly, and the food was excellent. Favorites like the sweet-and-sour chicken, lo mein, Mongolian beef, soups, and egg rolls have been reliably delicious, and the staff has consistently been warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. You really feel that family-run pride when you walk in -- from the calm atmosphere to how quickly and thoughtfully everything is served. Like many longtime customers, we've noticed a few changes recently with ownership and packaging, and on a couple of visits the portions or consistency didn't feel quite as strong as they used to be. That said, we truly believe this place still has the heart, recipes, and potential that made it such a favorite for so many years -- and we're rooting for them. Running a small restaurant today is no easy task, and we appreciate the effort that goes into keeping a local business alive and thriving. Always a great experience! I heard this place got a new owner, so I was really excited to try it and see if any of the recipes have changed. I got it to go because I was meeting my friend for a catch up! I got the sweet-and-sour chicken with fried rice. It tasted how it normally does so I don't think anything changed which is good for me because I love the flavors that the original recipes have. The crunchiness of the chicken with the sweet and savory of the sauce. Always a great go to choice. I definitely love this place and I'm very excited that the recipe did not change so I will for sure be going back next time. I'm in town! read more

Very nice newer place with great food and awesome service. Very clean and decorated very tastily. Greeted and welcomed to seating area. Menu was extensive! Once we made our order it was like game on for this place. Served our soup and egg rolls minutes after order was placed. Egg rolls were some of the freshest I have ever eaten. Really hot Chinese mustard for dipping. Egg drop soup was very satisfying. Main orders were served super fast & to our surprise fresh and hot. This was amazing S each of our orders were different. This is family ran and great pride with everything they do here. Super large potions on all orders. Just passing through, but if I lived here this would be my go to Chinese place. Wow so disappointing after having great food for so many years!! We did a quick take out sweat and sour chicken that definitely wasn't cooked long enough. The chicken lo mein I think they forgot the chicken and there was a pool of oil in the bottom of the dish! Obviously they tasted like oil. After reading Yelp reviews we decided to try this place. 1 block from our hotel, a 2 minute walk. I'm so glad we did. Super friendly and efficient staff. It was a Wednesday night so not crazy busy. We were greeted quickly and our order was taken immediately. I was shocked that Asian beers were only $4.50 and domestic was $3.99. Great prices on apps, soups, and entrees. We've been visiting Dragon Treasure for about 7 years, mainly for takeout. Moving from the Bay Area where you couldn't swing a chopstick without hitting a Chinese restaurant we're most often pleased with the quality of their dishes. However over the last few months we've seeing a noticeable decline in the amount of food we're getting even thought prices have more or less stayed the same. The take out containers have changed twice in the last two months. Not sure if its just them trying to make ends meet, as many businesses are these days, or something else. Just a bit upset I'm not getting all I'm paying for. Keep up the quality but don't scrimp on the portions. read more

Fantastic Chinese food. Excellent, very reasonable prices, very clean restaurant & restrooms, staff very personable, easy parking. Everything we ordered was excellent, and served hot on hot plates. Egg rolls are excellent, very fresh tasting, hot and sour soup the best I have ever encountered, sweet and sour shrimp was the same, done to perfection, and portions are much larger than expected, steamed rice was the same, perfect. Also liked the decorations in the restaurant. I will not hesitate to recommend Dragon Treasure to anyone seeking excellent Chinese food. My only complaint is that I do not live near enough to eat there often, because I definitely would, I live nearly 250 miles from Fruita. read more

My husband and I were visiting Colorado and wanted to go out to eat on our last night. We chose dragon treasure based on a website and reviews. I was very pleased with the food and customer service. We got 2 meals (soup, appetizer and main) and potstickers for $50. We left with lots of leftovers since the portions are large. The cashew mains had water chestnuts mixed in which I'm a huge fan of. 100% would come here again and recommend it to everyone I know. read more

I've been here twice now. The first time was two weeks before Christmas. The service was outstanding & we loved the chicken garlic. My favorite so far. The staff were attentive, friendly and we felt welcomed. I am originally from back East in area of NYC so we have been cautious about trying Chinese food out west, no offense intended lol. My wife and I read the great reviews and we truly fell in love with the Town of Fruita so it was a no brainer to try this one. We had wonton soup, egg rolls, garlic chicken and shrimp egg foo yun The second time we ordered takeout for Christmas Day (only bc had a food challenge) so we learned quickly, they got slammed but we totally understood and the owners had no issue canceling our order so we headed home with no food. Idk what we were thinking; especially bc this places food is so good and it's the busiest day ever for all Chinese food chains, movie theaters too We look forward to enjoying another dinner here and some day to go read more

This buffet was very good. For a buffet there were not a great amount of choices, but they had the good ones. Thier egg rolls had lot of stuffing, the crab rangoons were nice and crispy, the chicken cashew had veggies and a good sauce. They had other good dishes we tried, with lots of veggies and meat. We played it safe and got kung pao ckn and beef broccoli and they tasted exactly the same. The kung pao just had more pao! but everything was just super saucy.. the best thing was the hot and sour soup. Is this the best that Western Colorado can offer for Chinese food? Granted I am spoiled by being from California and being Chinese myself, but even when we're craving some good ol Chinese-American take out, we were surprised that Dragon Treasure was even high on our list based on Yelp. We ordered two dishes: their Shrimp & Seafood Mix plus Lemon Chicken. Each one came in a large styrofoam container for take out along with a small box of white rice each. The shrimp tasted rubbery and it was drowning in a mediocre sauce with canned vegetables arranged all over the box. Our lemon chicken was simply fried chicken katsu with a lemon dipping sauce- an interesting take. I was expecting fried chicken bites that had been cooked with a hot lemon sauce, and not katsu. Both of these dishes were okay at best. The rice that we received though was terrible. After driving for so long, we really wanted to load up on some nice, fragrant white rice. Unfortunately, we ended up throwing away the whole box because it was simply not good. It easily broke apart in our chopsticks and made a mess in our car. So overall, the food was decent at best, but I've certainly experienced better elsewhere. The biggest redeeming factor was that it was cheap for the amount of food ordered. However, I would attempt to go elsewhere for better Chinese cuisine. read more
