The prices are more affordable compared to other places, and the service is awesome. One young lady was especially helpful, working as both the cashier and server. However, the food did not bring me back or remind me of authentic Thai cuisine. It didn't taste like Thai food to me, and I didn't see any Thai staff working there. Veggie pho is amazing and all fresh ingredients. My son ordered steak and brisket pho and husband ordered veggie vermicelli, they both liked it. Even though the pho was a regular size, it was huge! Definitely worth it. read more

this was actually a little restaurant in a mall that had real tasty food. The atmosphere was really small but clean and friendly. Our server was a brand new waitress, but she did a really good job. I stopped in for lunch. Won ton soup and PORK Lo Mein. Even had to remind the waiter that it was Pork that I ordered. Half way thru the soup the main plate came. I didn't check it right away. When I did check it I noticed that the meat looked distinctly like Chicken. I told the waiter, he assured me it was Pork. Later I asked again and asked that he check with the chef. Again assured it was Pork. Still unconvinced I asked again and even got the Hostess into the conversation. She assured again the the chef said it was pork and that it was a very light colored batch of Pork. I decided to just take it home and check it there. Guess what? Definitely CHICKEN! I really enjoyed everything we ordered from here! Mixed Vietnamese Vermicelli (love that they serve it with grilled meat now), moo shoo chicken, orange chicken, pinapple shrimp curry. Eggrolls and coconut soup. I would order any of these again, all excellent. And huge portions. We have been eating here for many years, and I am impressed with the new ownership. It seems that they are taking feedback, like for example, using grilled meats again in the Vietnamese noodle dishes, which had always been a favorite of mine in years past. Thai Chili & Pho was Ok across the board. The Thai food we ordered was good enough. The service was friendly, albeit kinda slow. The ambiance was Ok, what one would expect from a restaurant in a strip mall in Grand Junction. I would eat at TCP again when I'm passing through GJ. This used to be one of my favorite places in town. We visited today (April 2025) and the food was terrible. My vermicelli bowl came with meat that was steamed and covered with some sort of sweet sauce. The noodles were thick and mushy. The egg roll was cold inside. I tried two bites and couldn't eat it because it was so terrible. I sent it back to the kitchen almost untouched and they charged me the $16 anyway. The other dishes we got were equally bad. The fried rice was tasteless and had no veggies in it. The lo mein was undercooked, with cold chicken thrown on top. The strangest part was the Thai ice tea. The one I got was fine, but my daughter's was watery and almost tasteless. We will not be back. read more

Service... I wish I was making this story up. I asked for a knife. The guy goes to the "back" room where the kitchen is. He comes out and walks to the sink, runs the water for a few seconds and you hear some paper towel sounds and a few seconds later he comes over and lays it on our table. The knife was not even washed with soap and still had some residue of whatever it was being used for before being placed in front of me. What in the world... On top of that, we ordered a curry and it came out a few minutes later. No way it could have been made to order at that speed. That is an assumption but we asked for mild it came out crazy spicy. Three of us went for lunch today. Suffice it to say the food was very good; it generally is. There were two servers there. On was very attentive. The other could barely say hello. I don't think she did say hello. We were cheery to her the entire meal, but she spoke about as many words as I have on half my left hand. We spent 2/3 of our time there feeling badly for that forlorn looking girl, wondering if she had a breakup that day, or worse, lost someone close to her. Her spirits changed when a guy came in and sat down by himself. Now she was smiley as she sat down at his table, glancing at us maybe once. She finally dropped off the bill with nary a word. We gave her a bout a 12-15% tip. She should have received zero. Her colleague scurried around with a big smile on her face, seemingly covering in every way for our server. I would have given her 30%. The point is, everyone has a bad day. Who knows what happened to this damsel in distress. Maybe the management yelled at her, but if I were the management I would have sent her home first the day and covered things myself rather than have her represent my restaurant. We weren't impressed with service, now we're both sick. We ordered green tea, beef pad Thai, pho ga, and Chinese egg rolls. The waitress gave us chicken pad thai first. We told her it was incorrect so she took it away and brought back beef pad thai. This wasn't spicy like we ordered. The waitress said she brought us a mild beef pad thai by mistake so she brought us a spicy one. I overheard her tell another table that she gave us their mild beef pad Thai by mistake, The pad Thai dish didn't have a lot of flavor, the rice noodles were really thin, and there wasn't a lot of peanut. The broth of the pho was really good, but the chicken in the pho was tough. I would normally give this experience 3 stars but it's an hour later- both my husband and I are experiencing GI distress and taking Pepto, Something isn't sitting right with dinner so I'm giving this a 1 star. read more

We called in for a takeout as our first choice didn't answer the phone after 3 tries. The green curry, mild, that we ordered, was ready in 6 minutes, but when we got home, it was a lot of hot sauce, plus a few pieces of chicken and a few beans. It was overpowering with hot sauce, so much so that we could not finish it. Yuck! Shame on this restaurant. Tom Kha Gai was watered down soup with absolutely no flavor, and a tiny bit of tasteless boiled chicken added to it and old rubbery mushrooms. Fried Tofu was different, but also tasteless. Pad Seiw wasn't any better, and baby bok choy shouldn't be so chewy that you can't chew, much less swallow it. $40 for 2 lunch entrees that were awful. Uggggg Never going back there again. There are great Thai places in town, go there and skip this place. read more

This is the first Thai restaurant that I've tried since I moved up here to GJ and this is so great! The lady at the front was very nice and answered all my questions. i ordered the yellow curry with chicken and only waited 10 mins! Good food and service at Thai Chili! The menu offers Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese cuisine. There is also a lunch menu and dinner menu. The Pa Nang curry dish is warm and flavorful. I really enjoyed the Bun Dac Biet, a Vietnamese dish of chicken, shrimp, and beef served with egg rolls over vermicelli noodles. The crushed nuts and veggies are a nice addition to the dish. This is a "dry" dish, as there is not a sauce it is dressed in, say like in a pad Thai or Chinese entree. But it's good, and I dip a chopstick full of food in the fish oil (?) it comes with. I very much recommended a Vietnamese coffee! Most will go with the Thai tea, a fave of most...but the Vietnamese coffee is a must for a coffee lover. read more

Their Pad Thai is not what I have had in other Thai restaurants. There was just the smallest hint of Pad Thai taste with no color whatsoever. For the most part it was just a lot of noodles. Anyway the other dinner we ordered was good. So I will go elsewhere for my Pad Thai. read more

Here's what I ordered: #20 Lunch Brisket Phó and #3 Shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce. Outstanding!! I have eaten here 3 times now and have not tried anything but the Pho Noodle Soup. As I love Pho so much, I'd rather go to a Chinese restaurant for dishes such as fried rice or stir fry. Just the fact that there is a Pho restaurant in Grand Junction makes me smile. (If you have never experienced Pho, you are missing out. The mixture of the fresh Vietnamese basil, fresh squeezed limes, bean sprouts, hoisin sauce and chili sauce makes my mouth party.) The spring rolls are really refreshing, cold and crisp with a crunch. The peanut sauce is warm and flavorful. Dipping the cold into the warm creates a great combination along with a super flavor burst. Service is casual and par for my liking. You do have to flag down the wait staff to get refills or extra napkins. The tables are clean which is a must for me. read more

So I was pretty surprised by this place. Somehow from the way the place looks, its location and the reviews (often talking about take out and delivery), I expected this place to be a typical Asian take out with a few tables for folks who wanted to eat in. No - that is not what this is. It is a real sit-down restaurant with table service, nice tableware, booths, and nice decor. Nice surprise. I am not a fan of places that serve multiple cuisines, as this place does: Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese. But - again - I was surprised in nice ways. The first meal we had was an eat-in experience and we ordered off the Thai menu. We over ordered (hard to choose). None of the appetizers appealed, so we got a noodle dish (Pad woon sen), a curry dish (Chicken Kang Ped) and a pork stir fry dish (Garlic Pork). All ordered medium spicy (I always start there with an unfamiliar Thai place to get an idea of their levels) and I could have had it hotter and wished for the typical Thai condiment caddy that allows you to customize your hot, sour, salty and sweet components. But I am nit picking again. The Pad woon sen looks pretty ordinary, but was seasoned just perfectly. The cellophane noodles still had texture and the garlic, fish sauce and other seasonings made a comforting dish. Just enough veg to give a crunch. I could eat the whole plate of this. The kang ped is a red curry in a coconut base. We had it with chicken and thought it was very tasty (this is one where I wish I had ordered it hotter). Curry was just right complexity and the coconut milk makes it creamy and rich. Ate a lot of rice with this. PS, unlike many Thai places lately - they gave us plenty of rice. I hate getting just a tiny rice serving and having to pay extra for more. Not here!! The garlic pork is unlike any other I've had (usually it is marinated in fish sauce, garlic and black pepper and grilled). Here it was more of a stir fry with lots of napa. I loved it - honestly, better than what I have often been served. A couple of weeks later, I had take out pho. I don't normally get the chicken version, but i thought in this case, it might be "safer" - not sure how they would handle raw beef and they didn't offer my favorite tripe. Anyway - the serving was huge. Broth and noodle were both very good (these are what I judge pho on mostly). There was a tremendous amount of tender poached chicken breast. Also in the container were bean sprouts, cilantro, basil, sriracha, and hoisin. Everything was packed well - the broth separate from the other ingredients. Next time, I'll go for the beef. But, I was so very happy to have pho in town. So - I am a happy camper with this place. For all of those who say this is not real Thai food - I get it. I rarely order Thai in the US because pretty much none of it is "authentic". That is true of so many ethnic cuisines, but I find it especially true for Thai. Nothing is like what you eat there. We stopped in for lunch for the first time after moving here. The waiter and the bus staff were involved in an altercation. The bus guy was throwing dishes around dropping the f bomb left and right. Then they began screening at each other. Completely inappropriate and very awkward. When the owner finally arrived things settled down but left us feeling very uncomfortable. The food was actually mediocre at best. Price for lunch was actually high. We simply did not enjoy our lunch here and would advise not to make the mistake we did. Do not recommend.
