I love this place so much! I stay in Omaha for the summer during college, so I've been trying to find a coffee shop that's on par with the one by my university. Unfortunately, they are not that many to choose from in W Omaha. I finally checked out this place in the beginning of the summer. The staff are so nice here! For me, you don't have to strike up a conversation. A simple hello and thank you is all good for me. The staff ask about your day and such, and also showed me their rewards card. The coffee? Oh my god, I love it. I've sworn off Starbucks unless it's absolutely necessary and this place isn't open. At Karma, they've never gotten my order wrong and it's amazing everytime. I Don't live in omaha, but I often come up on fridays and stay until Mondays. The hardest part of that has been finding a place I can work in the mornings. This has solved that problem. I haven't had a chance to come here before, I'm never leaving. This is located where the old starbucks was, so the interior is there, but the people and coffee is not. First they use coffee from Kansas city's very own Roasterie. Seeing as that is my normal hangout when home in KC, it fit in well. The Wifi seems good, my Americano is smooth, tastes great, the pastries were decent, but not outstanding. I could go for some egg type dish. bottom line, come here, hang out, very cool place, I plan on taking the seat at the window whenever I come up on a friday. read more

It was 7:00am and I walked in. There was 6 people in the shop and the employee. One guy had his food and drink. Two were waiting on the barista for their drinks and a breakfast item. There were 3 people waiting before me in line and the barista had not taken their orders yet. Bless his heart he was the only one working and there were 4 people waiting to place an order. A scheduling issue I hope. I left because I couldn't wait any longer or I'd be late for work. The lady in front on me left as well. I was really excited to try this place. Definitely a fan of Karma Koffee. They typically offer three brewed roasts - which I find to be pretty well balanced coffee at all three roast strengths. A really nice switch up for a Starbucks regular like myself. Nice pastries in the case from the French Bakery today. I enjoy the very relaxed atmosphere with pleasant coffee and handcrafted soap aromas. Baristas seem capable and very friendly. They are really sweet to my toddler as well - always appreciated. Today I had the worst customer experience at the hands of the owner's daughter. It was obvious from the moment we walked in that we weren't really welcomed and then it went downhill from then on. She was unfriendly even when asked about their products, but the kicker was when another customer came in with their large dog. My friend who is afraid of dogs asked "Oh, people can bring their dogs in here?", response was yes, which is the owner's right to allow, but it would have been nice to see pet friendly environment sign posted. When my friend proceeded to mention she was not good with dogs, the cashier's response was "well you can sit in our outdoor patio". As it sat with me I realized how openly rude that came across, I felt like she was telling us we weren't welcomed in their business. As my drink was being made I asked if either of the two were the owners of the business and was told the cashier was his daughter. I also let them know how rude her comment was and was provided excuses, including I was just trying to give you options. Sorry, sometimes it's better to leave things unsaid instead of making your guest feel unwelcomed. After that sour experience I didn't bother with my overpriced drink and should have requested a refund, but instead found some place else where I felt more welcomed. After this experience I won't darken this business's door and will not recommend it. read more

Very nice baristas and pleasant space. I got a mocha with coconut milk (love that they offer this - soy or almond milk too) and my husband got a medium roast drip coffee. The neg: some of your patrons don't seem to respect that not all other patrons love loud, fighting and barking dogs in when there are trying to enjoy a conversation and coffee in the shop. Some people have the following: allergies, trauma caused by animals (dogs), and the noise! It would be different if owners actually knew how to handle dogs. But we are in a world of increased dog ownership without the training needed for that responsibility. The ladies today sat there as their dog barked aggressively at the other dogs coming in. It frightened half of us! And they laughed and thought it was cute. A gentleman with a tough looking dog could do nothing more than hug (?) his dog. Totally ineffective. Argh! Ruff Ruff!! Really diggin' this new coffee shop. Best coffee on the west side hands down! They have a variety of single origin brews from The Roasterie in KC along side their own signature Miracle Blend, a darker roast. Good vibes all around this place. It has a somewhat rustic feel to it mixed with good spirituality practices. The community seems to have accepted them with open arms; their board is filled with a variety of events and charities.
