Menu options are really good for breakfast and lunch! I like the healthy choice, low calorie, high protein egg whites! I've had the power wrap & the market veggie hash! Both excellent! I got a side of grits that were a yellow grain that's deceiving but has no butter & no diary which is right up my alley! We shared a plate of Million dollar bacon that is smoked well done with brown sugar, pepper cayenne & drizzled with maple syrup-Full of flavors that's a must order in our group! I had the kale tonic fresh juice that is light and refreshing . The morning meditation fresh juice is much sweeter. My hubby likes their coffee & he tried the Chickichanga-not enough chorizo for him. Unfortunately I was very dissatisfied with this to go meal. Although it looks great presentation-wise the grits lacked flavor. The shrimp and sausage were good, but everything else could have used any type of seasoning/flavor to improve the meal. I've been to a few different First Watch restaurants around town. To me, they are all the same , you try one, you tried them all. Maybe that's a good thing, that the meals and experiences are the same from establishment to establishment. However, being honest, I'm not a real fan of the food at First Watch. It's like they are trying way too hard to put out a "trendy" dish instead of serving the great food that I think all of us believe they can. I will give them credit for having exceptional service, an amazingly clean environment and an all around nice dining experience . Truly the only downfall I can see is the menu. It's not bad by any means. I seem to always find something to eat, however I think they are missing the mark and could do better. I would still recommend First Watch, and I will eat there again. read more

I haven't been to this location before. I think it's hard to find the first time, even with GPS because there's so many businesses on all four corners. I ordered my usual-- frittata rustica and coffee. The coffee is the same as other locations, just ok and needing cream. The room is large, with tables well-spaced. Because it's a large room, I suspect it can get noisy, even though there's a wooden-looking floor and dropped ceiling. There's also a nice little area of outdoor seating. I love getting greens with my frittata. It helps me get in a serving of veggies. Plus the delicious frittata had veggies too-- kale, tomato, mushrooms, and onion. For the last three Saturdays we have come to this establishment we have gotten the same server. The first Saturday she was rude hardly checked on us but didn't mess up order The second Saturday same service but messed up my partners food order and didn't comment. This last time the service improved but this person forgot our drinks we ordered at the start didn't give us water, and messed up my GF order. Just continuously bad service. It would probably be different if we get a different server but we always get her. read more

First timer at this location, which I am ashamed to admit as it is only 4 minutes from my house. However, it was Saturday which means day date with the MummaBear! It was her pick, and woah, she knocked it out of the park. Let me just start by saying that Saturday morning was rather brisk, especially with the wind. So walking into this lovely establishment, only to be greeted with not only warm smiles, but a cosy heat setting just started it all off rather well. We were seated within 10 minutes. The people who run this establishment as well as their team are AMAZING! Everyone seemed to be working together, to get the job done, and not just done. But done efficiently and while being super friendly. The food, what a banger. I love the green juice, it's addicting. I realized you could add some liquor after the fact, which is awesome. But hey, I was trying to be good, lol. My white turkey omelette and fruit was absolutely delicious and I cannot wait to try more. Also, straight up kudos for having oat milk creamer (btw this place has great coffee and I swear the mugs are massive, bonus!). The MummaBear throughly enjoyed her skillet and toast, as well as her coffee. The entire team from start to finish were absolutely incredible and the food was *chefs kiss*. We will now be regulars! The food here is amazing! Service is always fast and friendly (it does get busy here especially weekends and Sunday mornings!) We were sat promptly as soon as we walked in. Server came over right away and got our drink order and we ordered shortly after. Coffee is fresh and hot. The area in this First Watch is clean and the floors are not dirty and full of unnecessary messes. As for the food, Floridian French Toast is my go to meal! I never heard of First Watch before, but they just opened a location in IL. The first stop of my road trip was in Omaha, NE to visit my fraternity brother and we ate breakfast here before heading to Badlands National Park. The place was packed on a Saturday around 9am, but we only had to wait for about 10 minutes. The place was pretty big and it had a nice outdoor patio. First Watch is breakfast/lunch place that focuses on healthier items so kind of similar to Beatrix in Chicago. I ordered the Carrot Cake & Pecan Multigrain Pancakes, side of potatoes, and coffee. The coffee was solid, but the pancakes was where it was at. The pancakes were sooooooo good! They were fluffy, fresh, hot, very tasty, and they didn't skimp on portion sizes. Yeah I ate over 1,000 calories in pancakes alone and probably over 100g of sugar, but it was worth it! The potatoes had a lot of flavor too and hit the spot. It was definitely a scrumptious meal! Service was adequate and prices were good especially for the portion sizes. It does seem like a place that was a sit-down plus quick table turning. It was also pretty loud since it was packed. But it is what it is and the food was great! If I am ever out in Oak Brook, IL then I will have to try it again! read more

Get the kale tonic or fresh squeezed orange juice! So good. I really miss the original Egg and I restaurant that was replaced by First Watch. I especially miss the coffee and wish that had at least stayed with the restaurant change. The hazelnut coffee was amazing! The food here is good and my husband really appreciates the healthier breakfast options. He loves the Healthy Turkey. I have tried almost everything on the menu and I would have to say that the only thing I've ever disliked was the breakfast tacos. Honestly, I was probably in the wrong for expecting a good breakfast taco from an establishment like this. I love the outdoor patio they added, but I wish they had an area you could sit and enjoy a hot coffee or beverage while waiting for Togo orders or possibly a bar area for individuals or couples coming to eat. We had asked our waitress a couples times for water and didn't get any until the check came. Pretty disappointing. We were both disappointed in the Pumpkin Spice donuts. There was absolutely no pumpkin flavor. They were yummy donut holes but we probably wouldn't have ordered them had we known they didn't have any pumpkin spice at all. I ordered the Farmhouse skillet hash which was pretty good! Not a lot of bacon I would say. My eggs were over easy and the avocado in the hash was delicious. (Tanner ordered the Chile Chorizo omelet). The waitress then brought our checks and walked away without offering any boxes and was through the door before we could ask her. So we had to wave down another waiter to get us a box. There were two bees who bothered us the entire time we were eating. The waitress did offer a table inside. We thought they would go away so we declined however they did not leave us alone. That was partially on us for not moving inside. Other tables also had bees and we could hear other guests complaining. Summary: Service: disappointing. Not very attentive, forgot our waters till the end. Pumpkin spice donuts: disappointing. No pumpkin flavor. Farmhouse hash: decent, good flavor. Not a lot of bacon. We most likely will not be back to First Watch. read more

I did infact order one single grape, a little on the sweet side but it got the job doneI ordered one single delicious juicy velumptuous grape as I am on keto diet. I did infact ask culinary service specialist if the grape included carbs and any added sugar or preservatives, because im very trendy and open to new ideas. I was disappointed because I was expecting a lot more flavor--chorizo usually packs a punch. But I barely tasted it at all. I can't do beans, so I asked for a side of breakfast potatoes instead. I'm not a fan of onions, so I was extremely surprised to find that the potatoes are basically 50% potato, 50% onion. No mention of onion on the menu description. If a dish features an ingredient so prominently, it ought to be included. I ended up giving them to my sister, who loves onions and even she said they were overwhelming. Others at my table said the pancakes were good. And huge! The bacon others ordered was nice and crispy. It just seems like I got the bad luck! The last couple of times we've been in the staff has seemed almost bothered by our presence and slow to seat us. This time was much of the same. Once sat the service was sporadic at best even though we were the only table she had. Food took less time than expected and was good. However we weren't checked on at any point during the meal. We had to grab someone else for silverware and then for boxes later. Each time met with more bothered faces that seemed completely disinterested in assisting us. The first time I came here I had a bad experience. Our food took over 30 minutes to come out and when it finally did the food was improperly cooked. I had gotten the Eggs Benedict and it was served with one egg that was under poached and one that was hard boiled. The Million Dollar Bacon was limp and cold. I decided to give them a second chance because I kept hearing good things. My husband and I both ordered the Eggs Benedict again, because it is our favorite breakfast. Imagine my surprise when once again the eggs on my dish were improperly cooked (although my husband's were fine). We both got a side of potatoes and they were ice cold. The manager took both of our plates back to be re-fired. When they came out again (very quickly) the potatoes were still only lukewarm, but the eggs were poached perfectly. I was a little put off by the fact that the tomato that is served on the Classic Eggs Benedict is raw and refrigerator cold, so I took it off. The hollandaise sauce managed to be flavorless. The food looked delicious but ultimately was a let down. My most recent visit I decided to just stop attempting to order the Eggs Benedict, so I ordered the Trifecta, which was eggs, a Belgian waffle, and your choice of meat. The scrambled eggs were very over cooked and rubbery, but the waffle was good and the bacon was cooked well. All items were room temperature. For a breakfast restaurant, this place really needs to work on cooking a decent egg and getting the food out quickly so it stays hot. However the host staff is always top notch and the wait staff is always decent, if not slow (not the servers fault that the kitchen isn't fast) and if you ever have a problem with your meal, they will rectify it quickly and courteously. read more

My family brunches here regularly and is always pleased with our food, the timeliness of the staff, and their attention to detail. The staff remember us which is always such a nice feeling. The attention they pay to my little one and remembering that she ALWAYS wants a blueberry muffin is so sweet. The food is a fresh take on everyday breakfast favorites with some new things mixed in. The hash, traditional breakfast, and elevated egg sandwich are all wonderful. I have also had the veggie sandwich which I would order again should I go over lunch (I'm usually there around breakfast time). They have seasonal features which is always interesting. January 2019, there is a Mediterranean Baked Eggs which sounds delicious and is on my list to try next. Reading some of the negative reviews made me laugh. With the number of times I have eaten here (more than I can count), I have never had poor food quality. One must remember that some people are never made happy and just like to complain. They are very willing to accommodate food allergies and sensitivities, which is a big plus. So my wife and I stopped after church this morning to enjoy brunch. Unfortunately, we were told 30-40 minute wait, which we accepted since we have had good experiences here before. After watching some of the help stand around talking with dirty tables and quite a few to go orders going out the door, after 35 minutes I told the host we couldn't wait any longer. My guess is they didn't have enough kitchen help as servers didn't seem that busy. I normally don't complain about anything since any place can have a bad day, but it will be hard to return after this experience.
