She left the room off and on to answer the phone or get the door. I didn't have a problem with that because we talked about they being short staff due to it being a holiday. And, she was only out of the room for a minute or two. Two hours later, after getting the hot stone treatment, is when I got frustrated. She said she was going to get some hot towels. She stayed out of the room for over TWENTY minutes! I was appalled. So, I got up, got dressed and left the room. As I passed another room near the lobby area, I noticed her inside counting money with someone else. What? You kept me waiting for 20 minutes so you could help count money. As I walked by, she noticed me and I gave her a wave and said "I'm leaving. She came to the door and waved for me to come back. But it was too late. I was upset and not in the mood to return. She immediately called me on the number I made the appointment and asked me to come. She said that since I was on vacation, she didn't think it was a problem and she would have extended my time. No! You don't get to decide how i spend my vacation time. Besides, I had a plan to catch and my time is my time - not for someone to take advantage of as they see fit. Had she communicated with me what she had planned or simply return to the room to check on me, we could have decided on how to proceed. Now, I hope this is a one-off type situation and not something they do regularly. I am writing this review in hopes that it gets their attention to pay attention to their customers and keep the customer as their first order of business. While I do mot plan to return to their location, I wouldn't urge others not to give them a try. For me on this first and only occasion, it was NOT a great overall massage experience.

I was never given paperwork to fill out, so they had no information about medical conditions, injuries, pressure preferences, or areas I may not have wanted worked on. They also never verbally asked me about any of those things themselves, which immediately felt unprofessional to me. The massage table had a white sheet with a folded blue sheet on top that I had to unfold myself to cover up. When the therapist first left the room, she didn't fully close the door and left it cracked open. I closed it myself, and then about two minutes later she walked back in without knocking while I was naked getting onto the table. There was also a significant language barrier, which normally would not bother me at all, but it became uncomfortable when communication issues affected privacy and the massage itself. At one point she brought another woman into the room to use Google Translate, and the door was left completely open while I was laying there with my leg and glute exposed. I was also repeatedly pressured to purchase a $10 Chinese medicine oil add-on. I politely declined multiple times and explained I just wanted her to continue focusing on my problem areas, but I had to say no several times before they finally stopped asking. The walls are extremely thin, and I could hear conversations from the front desk throughout the massage. My massage therapist was even talking through the wall to a coworker or manager during the session, which made it difficult to fully relax. The massage itself was actually nice, and they were able to get me in quickly when I called to book. However, I asked for specific work on certain problem areas and that request was mostly ignored, likely due to the communication barrier. Overall, the experience lacked professionalism, privacy, and the relaxing atmosphere most people expect when booking a massage.
