Parking was surprisingly easy, and once we got started, it was a block and a half of a good time. Now, we did not buy much, but we did enjoy seeing everything and talking to a few people. We were especially excited to buy fruit directly from the farmers! I got a bunch of peaches and nectarines, and let me say I have never in my life tasted such good fruit! I also tried the homemade strawberry & rhubarb pie, and bought the homemade honey with cinnamon. I also especially liked how the Farmer's Market overlooked Silver Beach. It was a nice time, and I look forward to going back before the Farmer's Market season ends this year! Both my husband and I love their french bread pizzas as my husband has been eating them since he was a kid. We will most likely be making this Aldi our regular grocery shopping place or at least until the location in Stevensville opens. The biggest con of Aldis is still that they tend to only have one cashier at any given time. That can allow for long lines but for me it is worth it. Don't forget your quarter for a cart and reusable bags for your groceries.

Using that phrase is ageist and what gerontologists call "elderspeak" which is full of condescension and very patronizing. This hasn't happened frequently so when it does, I usually just smile and move on. She called me that twice, apparently thinking she is on top of things. The cafe is located inside a "food hall" of sorts, surrounded by other local vendors serving cheese, produce, coffee, beer, smoothies, gifts, and more! Great atmosphere for cooling off from the summer sun and enjoying a unique lunch prepared by friendly, knowledgeable servers. If you're in the St. Joseph area, make sure to stop by and grab a snack! Or, I did. This person must really need 50 cents badly to actually ignore a customer and to refuse a refund. Your business will not last if you do not have the management skills to back up cooking skills. And this is a small area. When a customer asks you why you charged them something, they are not just asking. It is theft. I expect an answer when I ask that question. My receipt clearly shows a custom charge of 50 cents, for a side of sauce that I did not receive. It was actually supposed to be a dollar because I ordered 2 sides. I sent a message and was told that I was not charged, end of reply. I replied that I was. Instead of sending a refund, they sent me a copy of the current receipt that clearly shows a 50 cent custom charge on it. I am not the blind one here. I messaged again asking what the charge was for, if not for the sauce. No reply. I am also tired of tipping on takeout just to have no one check the orders and for it to go out wrong, no more. What is the tip for? It was 2 items, juice, and some sauce, not hard to get right. Tip in cash only if your order is correct. A normal response would also be to apologize for getting the order wrong to begin with. I have not received another response or a refund so I take it that they feel entitled to take money for items not given. It is not about the amount of money, just the audacity and bad business practices. Shameful behavior. There is nothing special about the menu here so something better will eventually take its place.

Their prices are a little on the high end (I can't ever seem to leave spending less than $50) which I would expect from the smaller size company, but that does not deter me. This particular location has their products organized somewhat strange from what I am used to. Take for example, trash bags. Most other stores would place these in the paper good section which would be by the toilet paper / paper towels. In this store they are located in the "Picnic Goods" section which is over by frozen foods section. Again, this is not enough to deter me, but it does cause my trips to this store to take a little longer as I have to walk up and down looking at what is in each aisle. If I had to pick one thing about this location that needs to improve it is their checkouts. More often than not, I find that the lines are long and it takes me 10+ minutes to checkout. My favorite thing about this (and all Martin's) is their produce / meat. Nobody in the area can touch them on their quality. Quite often, my wife and I will buy our can goods from one store and the rest from Martin's because it is worth the extra trip.
