They did a terrible job painting my ceiling and painted more than what we agreed on. So I had to spend more money. I believe the owner James Kassal planned on doing that all along. They did some base board for me and missed a piece so the owner comes out the next day and puts the base board in but doesn't paint it and it has a huge dark spot on it. I would never recommend this business. I'm very unhappy and felt I paid too much. read more

James at Kassal Painting and Handyman Services did a great job for me in relocating two large garage cabinets and moving an electrical outlet. He was in constant communication for an estimate and worked around our schedule to set the service date. He was on time to see the job, acquired pictures, measurements and spent a good bit of time assessing the job. He was very business like (much better that the original installers). His bid was very affordable. He provided in detail the proposed work, how many workers needed and terms of payment. When I requested a change in schedule and payment method he was very flexible. He gave me a schedule and met the schedule in the execution of the job. I am very pleased with the results and even added an outlet for our convenience, which was much appreciated. I have already asked him to look into a potential second job for us. As I stated, I am very happy with the work he completed and looking forward to seeing our second project done. James and his wife were very personable and helpful and quick to respond to all questions and concerns. We were very happy with the electrical work we had done to include installation of a drop light in the dining room as well as a ceiling fan with two wireless remotes. He was always prompt and efficient even though he did go over a few hours past their quoted time. Quoted 9-10 hours, took 13 hours over two days, but we were only charged for 12. The only reason I deducted a star is because I'm not happy with the kitchen backsplash, so I would not recommended this company for that kind of work. read more

We have had the opportunity to work with Kassal Painting and Handyman Services over the last few weeks as they have help us prepare our house for sale. They have assisted us with everything from finishing off a bathroom remodel to installing new shelving in closets to full interior and exterior paint. James and his crew have been great to work with. They have been surprisingly unobtrusive for as many people as they have been (3 people a day for two weeks) and as long as we communicated what was going on and what our needs were for the day or week were, they were more then willing to work with us to accommodate our us. This proved great since my wife works from home and has does not have a set schedule. James has also willing to provided us honest opinions on what what needs to be done, what should be done and what would be best considering were working with both monetary and time constrains. And while he has advised on more expensive options, he has never tried to up-sell us on anything. He has always respected our desire for quality work that looked good and would help us sell our house. -James told me straight out how much he charges per hour, which is a lot less than anyone I called. -He gave me an estimate in hours the time it would take to complete a job. For example, 1-2 hrs to replace a faucet or 4-6 to power wash a house exterior. On both occasions, he didn't charge me the maximum. I actually saw in my camera that his charge was spot on based on the time his crew started and the time they finished. -He gave me a very thorough estimate, providing the specifics as to exactly what he would do and the length of time it would take. -I like the fact that when he gives his recommendation to get something done better or more efficiently, it does not translate into poor work quality or more money in his pocket. -It's very hard nowadays to find someone straightforward, honest, and professional. I definitely recommend him for any job no matter matter how small or big. read more

These people were subcontractors under our GC. They tried to paint AROUND our plantation shutters and drapery hardware. They made us remove those items if we didn't want them to paint around them, so we did. All of our drapery hardware had paint on them and had to be cleaned. We found several drips throughout the house and the white paint on the wainscoting on staircase feels like sandpaper. We still have colored marks on our ceiling where they accidentally touched it with wall color, we found overspray on our wood floors. They accidentally got wall color on white crown moulding, when I asked one of the guys to please fix it he had a bit of an attitude and dug a hole into the moulding to removethe paint, I had to have my crown guy repair it. I wouldn't use these people EVER again. In response to Mr. Kassal: We did not have a walk-through with your guys nor offered one. We saw this stuff upon coming to our home to either do some work or meeting with the GC. I have no reason sir to make this stuff up. We had/ have valid complaints about the job that was done at our home, we brought it several times to the attention of our GC. Maybe you should have made a trip out to check on the job while in progress. Also, you mentioned that you did more than you were supposed to...the GC ended up painting the last room. If you want to come out personally we can show you a few things, our GC has our number. read more
